If Urbina has been arrested we gotta give Bounty Hunter credit for calling that! You're right! BountyHunter, looks like you were right.

Wow, he looks really different! I definitely would not have recognized him if he walked right past me. Looks like he's gained some weight and grown facial hair.
So frustrating though that he apparently was in custody just FOUR YEARS AGO and now he's gone!

I thought this would be the case. It would be nice to know though, what the circumstances of his arrests were/are. I seriously hope that this is taking a step in the right direction in tracking down this scumbag.

So frustrating though that he apparently was in custody just FOUR YEARS AGO and now he's gone! And that was AFTER his first AMW profile! So we have him released on bond while awaiting a rape charge in 1999, the close call in 2006, and apparently two separate arrests in 2007 and 2011. What's really frustrating is this guy seems to have nine lives- it's time for him to run out of luck.

Question, shouldn't the new photos be put on the Facebook wanted page for Urbina? Did someone forget that it's there? Just a suggestion if anyone reads this.

I found a very detailed and good 2012 article about how fugitives are found and extradited from Mexico. As we have seen with Desiree Lingo-Perkins, Mexican authorities need an address in Mexico to issue a provisional arrest warrant which then allows authorities to arrest the fugitive in Mexico. Why I'm posting this here is that a judge in Mexico City issued a provisional arrest warrant for Fidel Urbina in 2006 after according to the archived amw.com page, detectives pinpointed his whereabouts to Ciudad Juarez. That means that authorities could figure out the address Urbina was living at in Juarez and still not manage to arrest him. That would be before Urbina was arrested twice and had his mugshot taken and yet he still managed to get away. www.tdcaa.com/journal/update-pursuit-fugitives-who-flee-mexicoEDIT: Here's the amw.com quote.

Theoretically speaking, as much as we think Jason Derek Brown *should* be the next capture, Fidel Urbina *should* actually be the easiest person to catch on the top 10 list- since he was in fact apparently captured twice. The problem is actually keeping him in custody the next time.

Well since I'm stuck indoors thanks to the blizzard, I noticed that if you look at Fidel Urbina's 2007 photograph, he looks like he may have just done some very hard drugs. Also his nose seems a bit bruised, idk it may just be me over looking into it lol

And if he's working for a cartel like so many fugitives who go to Mexico wind up doing, well, then he would obviously have access to them. Whether there's anything into or not, you're being observant and that's a good thing for a sleuthing message board.

Thank you Scumhunter, sometimes even the very tiny details or observations can possibly crack a case and Urbina is probably doing hard drugs like I mentioned or maybe he attempted to rape another women which explains his bruised nose. Also where those mugshots were taken should be looked into and Finally Urbina was probably bailed out, or had people from within to help him get out of jail but if he was booked it was probably for some non violent small time offense... Also they in those cases I think they don't fingerprint individuals.

I'm curious as to how the FBI got the photographs to determine it was in fact him or if they have some new intelligence on him but the FBI isn't telling the public about it.

It's really odd. They just added those photos without explanation. I'm hoping The Hunt or Crime Watch Daily or some other crime show airs his case so they could explain. All any of us can surmise is he was arrested in Mexico under different aliases, but they didn't figure it out until later. Maybe a tipster gave an alias and they looked through Mexican arrest records or something.

Yes and also have u noticed there is a new alias on Urbinas poster? Edgar Diaz Hernandez was the name they added as an alias when by when those photographs released but the location isn't really clear which is something that should be looked into telling by the background it seems a lot like a Mexican jail

I either didn't realize there was a new alias or forgot there was a new alias since I edited it into the OP last July. Archive.org shows that alias wasn't there when Urbina was first added in 2012 so good eye there! Perhaps that's the alias where he had the arrests under.
