This thread is to have a general discussion about the Marshals and their top 15 most wanted fugitives.

The Marshals list is very diverse when it comes to which crimes make the list, unlike the top ten list that has now only focused on recent and violent fugitives.
The marshals have John Ruffo a financial fugitive, CAC fugitives like Rick McLean, Dan Hiers, and Corey Gaston and murderers like Jean Janvier & Andre Neverson, so I admire this list because of that reason. Also what I dislike is the list doesn't have a complete 15 like the top ten list has its full 10.

I like the variety and the Marshals do an excellent job. My only complaint is that they don't update the list often enough.

Yes the variety of crimes is something that makes the top ten list very single themed and very effective, but I hope they'd start to move on to a CAC fugitive for a change.
Now the FBI top ten does improve its removal and update when it gets very active on a year like this, and I know John Reed, Chris Ponce will fill in those slots perfectly if they do plan to add them.
Larry Chism is like the Gerena of the marshals list whereas Andre Neverson is like the Robert Fisher of the top ten list since I'm surprised he's made as long as he has despite having been on the marshals list 12 years

Okay so the Marshals have been filling their slots quick. Bonness was added on July 25th and now Borroughs was added more than a month later on September 2nd.
Now if I am correct the marshals haven't had a capture at all this year while 4 fugitives have been added, so it really settles your complaint there Scumhunter on one hand.

They've been doing better lately I'll give them credit for that, I still feel like the list is inconsistent in additions compared to the FBI. Like they'll add five guys in two months or wait 9 months to add just one guy. (I once again stress this is my only complaint- the Marshals are awesome and do an excellent job- my only complaint about the service is I feel the Top 15 list can be updated more often- specifically because they do such an excellent job at capturing fugitives.)

The clock is quickly running out in 2016 and still no one from the Marshals list has been caught so far. William Greer, Jean Janvier, David Bonness and Tony Burroughs have been added which is a lot and unfortunately none of them have yet been captured, but time will run out for one of these guys eventually.

Marshals list fluctuates, some years they have a bunch of captures at once, sometimes it takes a while. I think part of the problem we haven't seen as many captures this year is they haven't skewed as recent they have in the past. The most recent fugitive was Jean Janvier who was already wanted for 4 years. Not criticizing the selections but they didn't add guys probably even they thought they could catch in a day. It's about the long game and added resources.

Seems to be the biggest gap in a while as we've went since JANUARY without a new addition.
I know I sound like a broken record- but I get really frustrated with the inconsistency when it comes to them adding fugitives to the list especially compared to the FBI's Top 10 list- and once again IT'S BECAUSE THEY'RE SO GOOD AT CAPTURING FUGITIVES. There's three open slots currently that they'd have an excellent chance of capturing at least one if not all in like a week if they'd just add them.
I was hoping one would be added at least to coincide with a 'Hunt' airing but no dice so far.

It's officially been over a year since there has been a new addition to the USMS top 15 list- and that was Markeith Loyd, who was a breaking news addition.
This must be a record for biggest gap in between additions.

Honestly unbelievable. It cannot possibly be this difficult to add at least one additional fugitive to a pretty bare list.

This must be a record for biggest gap in between additions. This is very upsetting, obviously they had all of 2017 to add someone and to now let it be more than a year without any additions is very weird, suspicious and it drives me outright bonkers at this point. We did have a total of 3 captures in 2017, 2 of the 3 were added in 2016. I know the US Marshals Top 15 has significant notoriety, I honestly don’t have any possibilities why there hasn’t been an addition in 12 months, but what if the Marshals are thinking about discarding the Top 15 program? Or are going to prefer recent cases just like the FBI Top Ten did?

Ridiculous. Now and a year and a half. Not to get political but part of me wonders if it's because they're filling vacancies in leadership positions with the new administration that they haven't added any new top-15-ers yet. there's so many candidates they can add right now- Eric Monroe Jones, John Blauvelt, "Zombie Mike" Hawkins, Tramaine Poole, Gerald "Mike" Bullinger", Brian Keith Freeman, Raymond McLeod, Harold "Butch" Knight, etc... I'm very frustrated.

I'm very frustrated. Heck the marshals were present when they announced that they had added Rafael Caro-Quintero, they could have added him to their Top 15 list as well. But this is becoming very absurd with not having any new additions since early 2017, and I’m curious if the marshals will go on a removal purge like the FBI Top Ten did during the 2015/2016 period.

They have like 6 open slots. I dont think there's currently a need to get rid of anyone on the list, the problem is the opposite lol.
