It makes sense even in her younger photo she looks like a normal woman and nothing really stands out about her. It’s easy to fly under the radar like that. And there were only a couple of photos of her, one from her younger days and just one from when she look a little older. Wouldn't have been hard to slip under the radar given that.

I thought for sure she had fled the country. Glad to see she's in jail and may justice be served here.

I think he's a scum bag like everyone else but he still has the right of due process. Plus as it was pointed out, if you plead guilty, the judge can sentence you right away and given the charges he's facing and the prison time he could get, that's not a smart idea if he wants to ever see freedom again (hopefully he won't.)

I wonder which state will try him first. Guess it depends whether they want him to face execution or not, as South Carolina has the DP and New Mexico does not. Should be noted he's only face charges (so far) of murder in NM.

I'm a big fan of Candice Delong and she mentioned in a recent podcast of hers that an early warning sign many serial killers showed before they committed violent crimes was the things Smart was accused of doing. As you said Scumhunter, at first this sounds like a silly case AMW shouldn't have aired but IMO, it's clear this guy was getting worse with each crime he committed and it was a question of when, not if he killed someone. John and Callahan clearly felt the same way which is why they aired his story. Thank goodness eskimodad08 saw AMW and was able to stop him before that happened.

Glad to see that this creep was taken off the streets. I know some folks (not anyone here) may not think him being an underwear thief is a big deal but if you look up a lot of serial rapists/killers, you'll see many of them started out with breaking into homes and stealing women's clothing before slowly but surely moving their way up to preying on actual humans. The fact he was stalking some of the women he stole from IMO further drives the point home this guy was a killer waiting to happen. Thank goodness he was caught before that happened. Hopefully he will be locked up for a long time to come so if there is a time he's released, it will be when he is less likely to hurt others.

Took longer then I thought it would but it's nice to see the new AMW has it's first capture!

I have to imagine this is a relief to his ex-wife who no longer has to look over her shoulder now.

Rodney Allen segment was well done. Hammered down the point that financial fugitives can cause just as devastating damage as other kinds of fugitives. One of my biggest pet peeves has always been the people who play down some of the financial crooks AMW has caught over the years. In particular, I remember Lizzette Garvin and Anthony Quick. The latter was preying on elderly victims and has been arrested several times since his AMW capture for continuing to prey on elderly victims (got almost five years in NJ for it.) Garvin (who also can't stay out of trouble) admitted that she's been a thief her whole life and wasn't likely to change and like Quick, has been in trouble since her time on AMW. Rodney Allen is of a similar vein and I won't feel bad at all if he's the first capture for the new AMW.

Watched it and IMO, was far better then the Vargas attempt, with sticking to the facts of the case and telling it like it is when it comes to these perps. Here's hoping we have a capture before the end of the night!

I agree, stick to the facts of the case, the reenactments I can do without.

Pennsylvania should turn him over to another State as part of a prisoner swap or send him to a federal prison. He's an escape risk and should be treated as such. PA has a couple of prisons that are secure enough to hold him. As to your second point, I know in some cases federal prisons will take prisoners who are security threats but that is extremely rare. I don't think he is facing any federal charges that give the feds jurisdiction over him thus it's unlikely they will listen to a request to house him.

I understand the delays but it just feels like in this case he's dragging this out as there was nothing from the previous stories on him that seems to indicate he had mental issues that prevented him from knowing right from wrong, especially since he's been convicted of murder in California. Maybe he developed something over the past few years?

Believe it or not, this case is STILL ongoing. Per court records, he has a competency hearing next month to see if he can stand trial for.the murder of Teresa Green. Justice in this case is still a long ways away.

I hate the fact he got 19 years of freedom but he won't get to enjoy anymore, as every day of his life will now be spent in prison. Good riddance.
