They closed two more cases. My fingers are still crossed that they will catch Ponce too.

I occasionally check your website to see if there has been any updates- I was hoping I'd see some progress in his case as well.
One thing I think you may find interesting- there's two fugitives who were supposed to be profiled on The Hunt but wound up just on the show's website instead, a financial fraud couple named John and Julianne Dimitrion. While they still haven't been caught, it's been revealed their parents admitted to being in touch with them using disposable cell phones and a video calling system similar to skype.
Perhaps this is a way Ponce's parents could be staying in touch with him? Not sure if there's any way of tracking those methods, but I figured I'd at least mention that this method appears to have been done with some other fugitives at least.

Bumping up Ponce since his Hunt repeat is airing tonight.
Also, I checked findchrisponce.com so for anyone who watches the show tonight the family is asking for specifics about if you know/knew Ponce some more things about him- his favorite hobbies, favorite drinks, types of clubs he frequents, etc.
Believe me, I can confirm from my experience watching AMW/The Hunt that all these little things seemingly insignificant are actually a lot more helpful than people think. So please forward those onto them if you know anything.

I was further looking for ANYTHING on Ponce tonight and noticed on his US Marshals poster- I figure this is common knowledge since it's on there so it's ok to post this- Ponce was actually born in NEBRASKA. Does anyone know if he spent any time there at all there and/or was too young to remember it? One has to think perhaps he might have family or connections there. I do have to tell ya- I figured Ponce was born in the U.S.- but I had no idea it was Nebraska- that would have been the last state I thought of. www.usmarshals.gov/district/fl-m/fugitives/ponce.pdf

Just learned about the GoFundMe page started by Wade Angel (williamsdad on our forum). The idea is to raise funds to increase the search efforts. I hope this helps. I myself am very frustrated that despite all the publicity from The Hunt and other media, Ponce still hasn't been caught. Anyone who wants to donate can visit the link below: www.gofundme.com/kw242w

The way CNN is treating the family of William Angel is driving me totally insane. Last weekend they didn't even air Ponce's episode, instead they aired more episodes where everyone is now dead and even Bradford Bishop's one, and he's been on the run since 1976. CNN didn't even respond to emails from William's father as to why the network is now ignoring the re-airing of this case.

I agree. The capture of Mozdir was amazing. I understand they want to promote it. It's also great news Miller and Stoeser are dead- but that's the thing- all three are DEAD! Ponce isn't, at least not that we know of. williamsdad if you're reading this, I hope this campaign gets you the funds you need to catch Ponce, but I also feel bad you've even had to do this. What I wish is the Marshals would consider Ponce for their top 15 list which also expands resources and I believe also carries a minium $25,000 reward. What I know about the Marshals is they love putting career criminals on their list. Ponce, at even a young age, is a career DUI offender. He killed one person already and is a danger to everyone. I think he fits the criteria.

There were several reasons as to why I decided to make Ponce one of the forum's dirty dozen fugitives. He is a threat to everyone on the road, he does not want to face these charges like an adult, William Angel's family has done so much to try and capture Ponce and NOW the CNN network has pretty much given up on this case.

Ok we now know that Ponce's rerun will air on Saturday the 14th at 10 PM Eastern so thank you CNN. Also, Mr. Ponce, I checked williamsdad's page for updates and he's asking that you turn yourself in. He says that if you don't turn yourself in, if (and when) you are caught he will ask for the maximum possible sentence. If you surrender yourself, it means taking a lighter sentence I've read more on this case. I read that the headmaster from your old high school testified on your behalf when you were actually in court like you were supposed to be and you broke down in tears. Apparently, the only tears you've shed so far are for yourself. So if being in court, if that made you break down, imagine getting a harsh sentence where you won't see the light of day for decades- perhaps the rest of your life considering these are prison conditions. I was watching a show on MSNBC (apologies to rival network CNN who airs Ponce's case) called Lockup. A young kid killed his two best friends driving drunk- he had no priors. They show him in court only getting four years in jail, the Judge said the reason he wasn't getting the maximum was because he had no past criminal record. You as we all know have priors. I know it's a HUGE factor based on my studies of court cases when Judges decide their sentencing. The only factor even more powerful is victim impact statements, and it sounds like William Angel's dad might go easier on you in what he asks you receive if you turn yourself in. Perhaps it would also look good on you if you turned yourself in, so you could finally read a statement apologizing for your actions. Scripted or not, meant or not, you surrendering would make the words seem more believable to the Judge and families than if you were dragged out kicking and screaming by the US Marshals. As much as you might not deserve it, you have a chance to surrender now, and serve some time that allows you to get out relatively young (or at least still alive), and try to become a better man afterwards. I have my doubts as to whether you could become one based on how many times you didn't learn your lesson before you finally wound up killing someone, but I'd just have to hope that somehow you prove everyone wrong. I understand you might be scared- but if you don't surrender- you get caught- who knows what will happen. It doesn't matter where you're hiding or who is helping you. You're on CNN. You're on this website. You're on William's dad's website. You're on Facebook. The chance for salvation is now.

Among the photos on the Find Chris Ponce page is one of Ponce with a bandage on his arm. According to a person who knew Ponce, it was because he had gotten into a fight the previous night. They also said he told them this:
"I'm a small guy; I got tired of losing fights. That's why I have these." *shows off night stick (used in the fight we're talking about) and two knives, which he kept in his car*"
So in addition to us knowing he drinks and drives without thinking of the consequences, a Facebook user claims he gets into bar fights and claims to keep weapons on him.
I find it all the more mind-boggling he hasn't been caught yet. Even if he's being well-hidden. I am still rather astounded that he hasn't done anything stupid like drove drunk again, got into a bar fight again, etc. that would lead to his arrest and identity.
The Netflix airings are said to have helped with leads, but all we also need is for Chris to slip up once and he's caught. Somehow he's avoided that. So far.

Ok, while we're all about highlighting cases and seeking justice, we are also sort of a "fugitive sleuthing site." So while it's just theorizing, I figured it would be healthy to get a discussion going about where Ponce may be since I am still absolutely baffled he hasn't been caught yet. Logic would think Ponce fled the country, however, this is a guy described as someone who needs someone to clean up after himself. He needs someone to help him, as he has an alleged history of leeching off others. That would indicate a need to be as close to home as possible. But I'm sure Ponce of course has relatives in other countries, or who have spent time in other countries that can make connections for him. Cuba has been mentioned as a possibility, and the regime there is slowly starting to become more cooperative with the U.S. There is hope as williamsdad mentioned earlier that even in Cuba, we can still get him. However, the country is still a little bit stuck in the past, and still have vintage cars on the streets. They're just now getting Netflix. It would be ironic and fantastic if Ponce is in Cuba and the new to Netflix airings does him in. However, I'm not sure if Ponce, who seems to want and need the finer things in life, would be able to adjust there. However, based on how he hasn't been caught, I still think he somehow fled the country. I believe he's either in Puerto Rico or Mexico. I think Ponce is of Puerto Rican descent (correct me if I'm wrong), and the U.S. commonwealth is obviously less restrictive than Cuba. I also believe that if Ponce is in Mexico, he's not laying low in some small village, that's not his style. Yeah, he survived a year or so under house arrest, but he also fled after a year as well. If he's in Mexico, he's in a more touristy part of town like Cancun or Guadalajara. Once again, I could completely way-off base. He could be caught in Pennsylvania or wherever tomorrow and I'd just be happy he was caught even if the prediction wasn't correct. But part of the point of this site is also to brainstorm and come up with some theories to try to help.

Some pretty shocking revelations on the new "What Do You Think?" section of findchrisponce.com Including- -Ponce's defense attorney contributed to the Judge who let Chris Ponce remain out on bond's campaign. -The state attorney was friends with Ponce's employer. -The Sheriff, who the state attorney received donations from, did not investigate the fact that Ponce's ankle bracelet had been removed until 4 PM, despite it first being removed at 7:14 am that day. A warrant also was not obtained until four days after he disappeared. findchrisponce.com/new-custom.htmlJust. Wow.
