Eeeek! What a lousy conflict of interest! I remember that part of the reason Capture #581, Ted W White, was convicted at first was because his wife had ties to either the judge, jury, or prosecution attorney, and wanted to lock White away so she could take an affair forward. Capture #1072, Pierre Dominique Domville, got acquitted, or at least slapped on the wrist, because the judge had the wrong person as a Facebook friend. Now this! Isn't it the judge's, juror's, or attorney's responsibility to recuse themselves from a case that would give them this kind of bias?
P.S. This is my 500th post!

I never understood why Ponce wouldn't turn himself in and face a possible lighter sentence than if caught and convicted.
Now I know why. He probably feels untouchable....

As mentioned on findchrisponce.com, today sadly marks the three-year anniversary of the fatal car crash that killed William Angel. All the more frustrating Ponce hasn't been caught yet.

Thank you for helping me keep our story going. With Ethan Couch's escape it has given me a chance to show everyone how these spoiled punks react to certain jail time. They run!!! When they know that they are not going to get away with it, they go for their only choice remaining. I still find it hard to believe that he received such a low bond. Bond is an insurance against running, so why would the prosecution allow bond to be set at a level lower than what they would pay for a family vacation to Europe? That was no incentive for showing up to court. They should have realized that if they could afford John Fitzgibbons as their attorney that they could afford more for bond. After Christopher escaped his mom went into the bond agents office and just handed them the $50,000.00 cash saying that she "Didn't want her son hounded by bounty hunters." If they can do that, the bond should have been at least $500,000.00 or more. We have to keep it up and get his picture in front of those who around him at this time. Thank you again to amwfans.com for helping us do just that.

No problem and I'm/we are always glad to help. I just wish that further help wasn't needed from The Hunt or Marshals or anyone and Ponce could be caught already. I hope you get news of his arrest for a Christmas present or if not, 2016 is finally the year he goes down.

Latest from the Find Chris Ponce website:
"With so many people worldwide contacting us about Christopher Ponce I want to fill everyone in on some important things. First, Christopher Ponce was required to give a DNA sample before he ran. His DNA is in CODIS, a national database of DNA samples. If you see someone who looks like Christopher Ponce, take note of what he is doing. If he takes a drink from a glass, GET THE GLASS. If he is smoking, GET THE BUTT. If he touches something, his fingerprints are there and his DNA. Notify the local police right away. Remember that Ponce may be living as a woman too. Take notice of facial features. Second, if you see someone that looks like Ponce, try to get a picture, full face is best for facial recognition software. I truely feel that this is the year we get him."
This is the first I've heard of Chris possibly living as a woman, but it's always a possibility with any fugitive if they truly want to disguise themselves.

So Wade Angel (Williamsdad on our forum) held another rally outside Ponce's mom's dentist office. His mom, who has been quiet up to this point, released a statement complaining that she's never helped Chris and doesn't know where he is and while feeling bad for the Angel family, is fed up with the "harassment" *sigh*. Mr. Angel has posted a response to what I also feel is her trying to make herself sound like the victim on his latest findchrisponce.com posting. (I apologize in advance for referring and continuing to refer to you in third person for this posting Williamsdad, just makes more sense in terms of grammar to do so). This same woman who claims she sympathizes with William's family is also the same woman who according to findchrisponce.com once said "I have bigger fish to fry" in court about this case. And if no one helped Chris escape, exactly how did a guy with no resources who is described as always having someone clean up after him just plan a run and stay on the run afterwards? All by himself? While I stress I'm not personally accusing any specific individual, the evidence in this case in my opinion(and I stress this is my opinion which I am legally allowed to state) would suggest Chris got help from SOMEONE- be it a parent, cousin, long-last aunt, friend, acquaintance, etc... In any case, it still shows in my opinion a sense of callousness that Dr. Medina seems to be complaining as if SHE's the victim. The family keeps offering leniency and asking for a lesser sentence if Chris turns himself in. I know from having Williamsdad on here and reading articles that the Wade Angel and the rest of his family is a man of his word and he will keep his promise and ask the Judge for leniency if Chris surrenders. Chris is still young and has a chance to get out of prison at a relatively young age if convicted and given a sentence if he surrenders on his own. The longer it takes for him to be caught, the more of life he's going to miss out on. So I hope he turns himself in and/or his family if they "find out" where he is, convince him to do the right thing. wfla.com/2016/05/26/deadly-hit-and-run-suspect-vanishes-victims-father-on-manhunt-to-find-him/findchrisponce.com/ (see May 26th, 2016 post)

IMO, this punk HAS to be getting help from his parents as he is hiding out somewhere, most likely abroad. Sooner or later though, his luck will run out and he will go to prison where he belongs. I will say this, the sadly ironic part of this case is that if he had taken responsibility from the start for the crime he committed, he would have gotten forgiveness and likely less time in prison then he will get when he is eventually caught.

Because of how ridiculous the courts have been in this case, I feel Chris and his family probably have a sense of invincibility to them. Why should they bother turning him in when if he's caught on his own they can just buy/influencetheir way out of the trouble anyway. Might as well run for that purpose. I hope that's not the case, and Ponce is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law if/when he's arrested, but I feel it might be what they believe.

This is AMAZING news! And if convicted, I hope the Judge throws the book at him. What really pisses me off about this case is how reasonable the Angel family was and how callous and uncaring the entire Ponce family seemed to be.
It never had to come to this. Ponce could have accepted rehab and done a reduced sentence based on williamsdad and everyone else's request.
He chose to go on the run. His family chose to at the very least not help in any way in his apprehension- So for that, no leniency, no excuses. He needs to be taught a lesson.
Williamsdad if you come across this forum- congratulations on all the hard work you did on catching Ponce finally paying off. I'm still so sorry for the loss of your son and realize this doesn't bring William back. But at least now finally Chris Ponce will be held accountable for his reckless actions that lead to William's death.

OK, this article sort of explains what lead to his capture: "According to Angel, newspaper reports in Spain explain Ponce was spotted in a bus station Monday in a coastal fishing village. The paper reports that Ponce was acting suspicious and was later questioned by officers who found him with a fake Mexican passport. After running his fingerprints through INTERPOL, Ponce was arrested." So it sounds to me like at the moment like Ponce acting strange at that bus station is what lead to his capture and this isn't a direct result of "The Hunt", I'll wait to see if John Walsh comments and says whether or not it's direct, but it's still obviously GREAT news that he's been apprehended. wfla.com/2016/08/10/deadly-i-275-hit-and-run-suspect-captured-in-spain/
