In Pursuit with John Walsh has been officially confirmed for Season 2!!! As a result, I figured it was time to do our tradition of making a thread before the season where we share anything we know details spoilers etc.... From the article it says the show will debut in 2020 and will be produced by Jupiter Entertainment, meaning Zero Point Zero is no longer the production company. (I will always support the show because of the importance of the mission, but I'm sorry for my friends at ZPZ- I wish them good luck and can never thank them enough for helping get Michael Sanchez's family's story aka the manhunt for Ricardo Villanueva-Cordova on the air). The good news is I looked at their website and Jupiter has a lot of experience with true crime shows- including ID channel's arguably most popular show in Homicide Hunter. I at the moment have not forged relationships with anyone at Jupiter yet so sharing details will for the time being probably be a bigger challenge. But if I do find anything out as always to not spoil anything- to not alert a fugitive unnecessarily- I will only mention the fugitive by name if there are official articles spoiling it anyway- otherwise if I figure something out through my own research I'll give a brief/general/purposely vague but detailed enough description of what some cases will be about. Anyway here's the article about the show's return: www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/pursuit-john-walsh-returns-second-season-1226080

A few things I wanted add-
-I don't know the reason for why John Walsh and company seemed to choose to change production companies considering a very successful season 1. This is only speculation on my part but me and HeadMarshal feel that perhaps it was ID channel wanting him to use their guys, since Jupiter produces a lot of shows for ID and has a history/relationship with them.
There was some article a few months ago about two crime shows filming a story on U.S. Marshals Top 15 Lester Eubanks (a man who escaped an Ohio prison in the 70's while serving a life sentence for the rape and murder of a young girl), so logic would say that one of those shows is probably In Pursuit since it's really currently the only crime show that does fugitive cases.

HeadMarshal brought this up again but last season there was some sort of a contract dispute between ID channel and Comcast/Xfinity, meaning perhaps millions of potential subscribers didn't get to see In Pursuit for Season 1 (which still amazingly had great ratings anyway). I found an article saying they renewed a long-term contract copyrighted 2019 but I still see some people complaining they're not getting ID channel. I don't know if it just takes some time to put back or the article is outdated or it depends on what package you have or what but if anyone can clarify I'd appreciate it. I hope this issue is resolved because it could literally mean at least one extra direct capture if not more if the channel is put back on regularly. ir.corporate.discovery.com/news-releases/news-release-details/comcast-corporation-and-discovery-communications-renew-long-term

I wonder if by changing production companies it means In Pursuit’s format will change or stay the same.

I'd rather not speculate as I mention in the past every time we ever went "I wonder if The Hunt will do this" back when The Hunt was the fugitive show it would somehow balloon into other fan pages and websites taking our suggestions or wonderings as fact.
I feel the best course is to assume the format of case selection will be the same (2 main segment fugitive cases, two fifteen seconds of shame and two missing child mentions an episode), but perhaps the way they present the show may be different.
At the moment at least I have not talked to or established any relationships with anyone at Jupiter to know much else

Pretty sure I found out one of the cases for Season 2 will be a man wanted for the murder of a child that we've posted about in the past year. I can't go into further details and purposely leaving some details out to not give it away entirely (private message me if you think you got it and don't state it publicly but the case has been a case of the week on our forum previously).

Like I said, the ONLY time we post spoilers and reveal actual cases instead of just giving vague (and purposely somewhat misleading descriptions on my part ) is if an official article gives it anyway- that way it's not on us but on them- the Atlanta-Journal Constitution has revealed that Richard Merritt- a Georgia lawyer who was wanted on fraud-related charges- then skipped his trial and allegedly murdered his own mother- will be one of the cases for Season 2 of In Pursuit. (P.S. Merritt was one of our case suggestions for Season 2!) www.ajc.com/news/local-govt--politics/three-dekalb-killings-get-the-true-crime-treatment-cable/jnwzNLjjquRTq4UNBCdLSL/#

Well we now know Ricardo Colindres- wanted for the alleged attempted homicide of his pregnant ex-girlfriend (he was not the father of a child but a disgruntled ex)- will be on Season 2 of In Pursuit thanks to new forum member ipintern.

New article out about shows filming recently in New Jersey's Bergen County. Among those mentioned was In Pursuit filming in Hackensack and Mahwah. patch.com/new-jersey/ridgewood/filming-rise-bergen-countyUnless there's something from Season One I'm obviously forgetting, one of the Season Two cases may be out of Bergen County.

I saw that article but didn't think it was worth mentioning because sometimes they film near wanted locations and not the exact location and figured perhaps they meant in the past, even though Lamont Stephenson was wanted out of Newark, it's not outside the realm of possibility they filmed scenes in Hackensack since it's not that far away. So who knows. It is possible it is a case for this season though, just felt that little info was kinda vague to speculate.

If anyone can tell me if the preview shows anything I'd appreciate but apparently they are now officially advertising Season 2 starting January 15th on the ID channel, according to some social media postings I've read.
