Well with Jeff Forrest we finally got a Season 2 full segment fugitive capture who was already on our site as well as being a former case of the week on our site as well.  |

I spoke with a source about Season 3 and they don't have any information for me right now. The good news is there was no indication of any concern there wouldn't be a Season 3 or anything like that and it seems like it's just a matter of waiting out the current pandemic to go full steam ahead.

The good news is a lot of ID shows have kept going even with the pandemic (I noticed a lot of them will do Zoom interviews with the people involved) so that bodes well for In Pursuit.

Yeah but the thing is Callahan was so darn good at in-person interviews and making human connections- it isn't as easy as it looks- heck I never know what to say to someone I know who lost a loved one due to something other than senseless crime- and Skype just isn't the same. Although he was good in Season 1, Cal really got into his groove and killed it in Season 2. But I guess Skype/Zoom interviews is better than no interviews at all.

So yeah I got further clarity that there will be a Season 3, just they still haven't been able to start work on it due to Covid, so it will probably be sometime later next year as opposed to the usual start of the year. (The latter part is me assuming and not their words).

Spoke to my source and In Pursuit is still in pre-pre-pre production due to Covid. They may be able to do some side project(s) in the meantime, but although there will be a season 3 they still haven't been able to start work on it.

I presume they have some cases that were filmed but not shown (ie, cases that were held in reserve if, e.g., a case that was scheduled ended with the suspect being captured).
Probable that they could combine unsolved cases that have aired with new 15 Seconds of Shame fugitives and new missing people reports (Breasia Terrell, for example).

Let us please not speculate or assume anything, especially when I have official sources that will let me know what's going on. Once they start work on In Pursuit, I'll make an Upcoming in Season 3 thread. |

It’s completely understandable why In Pursuit it’s still in Pre production, but I hope that during all this waiting that the people involved with In Pursuit season 3 really knock it out of the park with the cases they select.
