That is a good point but JW has even captured guys on HLN which is not a very well-viewed channel or the Justice Network which is free but not readily available to a lot of people. Obviously regular free-tv would draw even more eyeballs than any cable channel whether it be CNN or ID, and I still maintain AMW or a similar show needs to be on free tv as well, but the key is the more viewers you get the better odds at capture. And ratings-wise at least, In Pursuit did do better than The Hunt from what I could see.
There's also sling tv direct tv now etc... for people who are cable cord-cutters.
Also the parental abduction cases on this season of In Pursuit were all brief mentions. The Hunt's recoveries were all full segment parental abduction cases.
I'm hoping now that In Pursuit is established, it will work it's way up to more captures in the future.
AMW was successful from the start. In Pursuit hopefully just needs to work it's way from the ground up.
All of this could also just be bad timing (perhaps a fugitive aired one week would have been recognized by a random viewer from a previous or later week), a cold streak at an unfortunate time, or unfortunately fugitives doing a better job at hiding than they have in the past.
I'm still hopeful we will see at least one if not more captures as a result of a foreign country lead in the next few months!

Great Season, We got 3 dangerous fugitives off the streets and few to need to be caught, I hoped the repeats help generated new leads on other fugitives like Eric Monroe Jones and Glen Clambers.

What's the likelihood the show gets a second season? I haven't been able to keep track of the television viewership numbers.

The show had the second highest rated debut ever for an ID channel show and consistently had over 1 million viewers (Consistently better than the Hunt).
Of course because of what happened to AMW you never want to assume anything such as cost of production or whatever, but, ratings-wise, the show should be back and in my opinion, it's a matter of when and not if.

Now that the official FB page is profiling fugitives not on Season #1, we may have more chances for FB-reader direct captures! This is especially true since a lot of the postings are getting international coverage to local manhunts.

Very good although I am concerned there are no scheduled reruns on the ID channel for the next few weeks. The Hunt aired reruns even between seasons (and even after the show ended) so I'm hoping that will be the same for In Pursuit.
Reruns, while they would have been helpful, were not as desperately necessary for AMW on Fox due to it being a channel accessible to everyone.
While The Hunt, In Pursuit etc....get good ratings by cable news or basic cable standards, they still need the reruns to equal the same amount or more viewers as when AMW was on Fox.
Once again though a direct capture from season 1 may still be in the works especially if the lead is in a foreign country, but hopefully they do eventually show repeats to increase the chances of additional captures as well.

Still rather annoyed there's still no reruns in the U.S. nearly a month later. Reruns are in part what made The Hunt successful. They NEED TO show reruns to increase the odds of capturing some season 1 fugitives still at large. This isn't In Pursuit's fault, but I hope the powers that be can blast reruns like they do for many other shows like Homicide Hunter soon. I watch a few ID channel shows besides In Pursuit, and I'm not saying this to diss them, but In Pursuit is by default more important because it involves solving fugitive cases that are threats to the public and/or reuniting families with missing children. (Disappeared is the only other show that claim such importance).
Also this is random, and not to sound morbid, but remember when Season 1 of The Hunt, besides Charles Mozdir who was still alive and then shot dead, it seemed like EVERY fugitive wound up dead and/or was possibly/probably dead? I mean I think we weren't surprised by Shane Miller, but then Kevin Stoeser was definitely unexpected. The first three fugitives turned out to be dead, followed by an episode featuring Brad Bishop who was possibly dead, then an episode featuring Dave Burgert who was possibly dead, then an episode featuring Thayne Smika who was possibly dead, then an episode featuring Victor Barnard who was captured in Brazil and is still alive to this day but possibly attempted suicide when in Brazil (there were conflicting reports suggesting he was severely beaten by other inmates). Then for the next season Paul Winklebleck was also somewhat surprisingly dead already.
I realize with 48 fugitives, and some cold cases, the odds of there being a few dead is significantly more than usual, but I'm also wondering if part of the reason for the lack of direct captures this season is there are a few more than usual *surprise* deceased fugitives where the case is recent enough you wouldn't think so.
I'm going to go through those unidentified sites but you don't just always happen upon a dead body so unfortunately some may be never be solved.
Sorry for the rambling, but I'm hoping In Pursuit reruns start showing soon even if we're in off-season. (I have no information on whether there will be a Season 2- but ratings-wise there should be).

I think John Walsh and his son should appeared in Dr. Phil to promote and tell everybody their new show and fugitives on it, Maybe it will help and will get new viewers.

They already have gone on daytime talk shows, although it never hurts to continue doing so. Once again, the show got good ratings from what I can gather. But there's nothing wrong with gaining even more viewers.

Everything is leaning towards a Season #2 for In Pursuit. Looking at some other ID shows, we have a few possibilities as to when the premiere of the second season will take place.
As an example, the In Pursuit seasons of Disappeared and Homicide Hunter have had a standard episode run where you have to wait nearly one year for the next season.
On The Case with Paula Zhan however has fewer gaps in between seasons.
So we could either have a Fall 2019 start date for In Pursuit Season #2 or Winter 2019/2020. Let’s hope ID can manage the former rather than the later.

Well this is the biggest clue yet the show is returning as there was apparently a bid to win a trip to South Florida (where the National Missing & Exploited Children Center/tip line for In Pursuit is located) to go behind the scenes to see how an episode is made. (Bidding already ended under the retail value, I'm so upset because I so would have bid if I had known beforehand!) It says the trip is in fall of 2019, so I don't know if this means that's when they'll start preparing again or that's when season 2 is but at least this should assuage any concerns (there shouldn't have been any concerns to begin with since In Pursuit does great ratings- but I understand after AMW got cancelled on us three times we never want to take these important shows for granted again) www.biddingowl.com/Auction/item-detail.cfm?auctionID=18233&ItemID=702240&viewType=1&style=3&font=0&catName=TV%20and%20Movies
