I figured with only a few months left until the new year now was an appropriate time to finally make a thread about what we learn about the upcoming season of John Walsh's now show "In Pursuit"- set to air on the Investigation Discovery channel sometime in early 2019.
I have learned some of the cases. However, because I don't want to alert a fugitive unnecessarily, I will not be posting who the show is profiling- even if I know- unless there is an online news article confirming their airing (since then it will be their fault and not mine lol). Instead, I'll just give general descriptions for the time being.
("The Hunt with John Walsh" would generally announce all the fugitives about to be aired at the start of each new season- so I will wait until then if that's how they do things again- or wait before prior episodes if they announce episode-by-episode).
With the exception of one case which I know of through a source, the rest I was able to piece together through social media research (checking Facebook and Twitter), other online google searches etc.
So far I know of four cases.
-Two of the fugitives profiled next year will be very or relatively recent fugitives wanted for murder who have never been aired on AMW or The Hunt before.
-One fugitive has previously been aired on "Crime Watch Daily" (which admittedly narrows it down but there's a few cases they've shown that would fit "In Pursuit", and it wouldn't surprise me if more than one CWD case makes the new show next year.)
-A cold case murder fugitive aired on America's Most Wanted that has been wanted since the 1990's (they weren't aired in the 1990's, but have been wanted since the 1990's).
(All four above references cases are wanted for murder, not saying which of the categories but one of the four cases is wanted for the murder of a teenage girl).
So that's it for now, I'm really excited and can't wait for 2019! (But let's try to have fun the rest of the year as well, it's been a great captures year for fugitives!)
UPDATE: It has been confirmed that "In Pursuit" will debut on Wednesday, January 16th, at 10 PM ET/9 PM CT on the Investigation Discovery (ID) channel.

Thank you for making this beautiful thread Scumhunter, and those additional descriptions are making me excited that I have an idea who it could be but I’ll hold in any predictions ☺️.

Thank you for not saying the name outright though, lol.

So this means In Pursuit will have the same format as “The Hunt” and not AMW?

I have no idea on that. It's the same production company as "The Hunt", but whether it will follow the same format or not I'm not sure. It looks like it will be more similar to "The Hunt" than AMW, but I can't be sure.

This probably admittedly narrows it down even more but I have to amend my own OP to say "one or more cases have been featured on Crime Watch Daily" Although I feel we probably all assumed one of the Crime Watch Daily cases I'm referring to already considering the extensive media coverage on it.

Was sworn to secrecy from a source but the format will be unique but I think we'll like it.

It seems at least one fugitive previously aired on The Hunt will be on In Pursuit as well from what I've found online.
The way the format is will allow for this. (I'm not allowed to give anything away on that aspect except the format would allow for repeat fugitives).

Also I'm assuming top list cases are probably eligible as well even if aired before. So FBI top 10 fugitives like Yaser Said, Lamont Stephenson etc... or Marshals top 15 fugitives like Rick McLean, Peter Chadwick etc... could theoretically get a profile as well even though they were aired on The Hunt based on the new format. But they have plenty of new cases and not new but unused cases (such as Jason Brown and Alexis Flores on the top ten list and Robert King who I'm shocked never got a profile on The Hunt on the Top 15 list), so it will be interesting to see who they pick from the lists from the old and new fugitives.

Hey, Vero Beach is another location where Greg Alyn Carlson was spotted. But anyways this bit of news is so exciting with 2 months or so away from the premiere.

We don't know the exact date of premiere, but Q1 (according to articles, the show will debut in Quarter 1- Q1 2019) indicates as early as January and as late as April.

We don't know the exact date of premiere, but Q1 indicates as early as January and as late as April. If they are filming intros right now, it will take about 2-4 months to make the final edits which should be within the timeframe of Q1.
