Didn’t see this coming as well but I’m definitely glad that this manhunt is now over! Good that the FBI did not give up on bringing Brovold to justice.

Honestly what a wonderful way to start off 2022, with the capture of Curtis Brovold and I’m not surprised he was captured in Mexico.

I agree. He should have been had a much higher bond or he should have been no-bonded. I’m wondering, though, if the Judge is aware that he is destitute, and couldn’t post that. |

Uh just a quick tidbit read the article and it stated that even if he got out he would have to surrender his passport to federal authorities

He looks pretty much the same and is back on us soil that's a fast extradition

Surrendering a passport just makes it harder for him to flee the country, he can still flee within the country, plus all he has to do is walk across a bridge to get to Mexico again anyway (getting to Mexico is easy, it's getting back to the U.S. FROM Mexico that gets some fugitives caught), which is what concerns me. Also I mistakenly posted what I thought was Brovold's walk of shame a few days ago but that was actually his 2000 arrest, here's an actual photo of him in 2022:  |

Hello ibam not surprised to see that he was hiding out in Mexico. I knew he was in Mexico City but not in cancun. Just out of interest which cancun was he captured in because there is one which is a resort city and one that is a suburb in Mexico City. Also he must have learnt to speak Spanish as I cannot see him lasting 21 years in Mexico without speaking the language. Someone here mentioned him being destitute and that he would not have made enough money for a bond. What do you think.

Hello yes it will be interesting to see how his trial goes. I was thinking if he was living by himself all this time and how he managed to go undetected for a good amount of time. They suspected he was in Mexico and got it correct. I was thinking what job he would have been doing to be able to pay for his house and other stuff but who knows he might have been poor and living in a small house or something. Do you agree.
