I still hold out hope Greer will do the right thing- say where Tammy's body is as a deal or after conviction to not get as harsh as sentence. He doesn't deserve anything less than life, but if it provides "closure" (there never is such a thing) in locating Tammy, I can't speak for them but I'm assuming they'd take it to no longer have the pain of not knowing. I feel the same way. If nothing else, given some of the health problems Greer has had, what's to say he would survive even a 15 year sentence?

Next pre-trial conference now September 28th, 2020. I must be driving everyone crazy with the lack of news, so from now on I'm only going to update if an actual trial ever gets underway and what happens with it, although this is a relatively high-profile case so the media may cover it as well and we possibly won't have to find out on our own.

I think the biggest thing folks are waiting on is to see if he'll lead police to Tammy's body. Sad to say,I don't see that happening at this point.

Well yeah that's obviously the biggest thing but the problem is the trials keep getting delayed for a deal for Greer to reveal where she is. Undersrandable with Covid but still.

Sad to say but without a body and his only confession being made while under the influence, I think the prosecution figured they didn't have a strong case. In the same breath, Greer likely didn't want to roll the dice so this deal was reached. Just a shame it means that Tammy's remains are likely to never be found.

Ok actually saw the episode- the plea deal was exactly what we thought it would be- in exchange for finding Tammy’s body. He led police to a terrain/lake/wooded area near the house where he killed Tammy but she couldn’t be found. The deal stuck because the DA’s office believes Greer wasn’t playing a game and that he honestly did try to show where he buried Tammy- just so much time had passed the area had changed weather wise environmentally etc… and this why she couldn’t be found. Tammy’s daughter Nikki understandably believes he gamed the system once again. Greer could possibly be out in 2026.
Canine dogs did detect scents in the area in a private search in February 2024.
Like I said I believe in karma and if Greer was lying (he still didn’t get enough time even if he was being honest) it will come back and bite him one day.
The manhunt has concluded but still a lot of questions that need to be answered.
