The only thing I'd add as I said there is the other fugitives they added aren't uncatchable, but they are more likely to be caught via intelligence operations and if they are caught it will likely have little to do with the top ten list, while guys like Juarez-Corro are mainly what the list works best with.

A great capture. I think the thing the FBI needs to do is figure out what the center of the community is in Mexico. Not everyone has access to it in Mexico, and this is one of those cases where they thankfully had someone who had access to it in Mexico. To reinforce this point: this is the first time someone has been captured via the FBI website within Mexico.

IMO, this guy was a much better use of the FBI's Ten Most Wanted then some other fugitives they've put on their recently. Go with folks you can capture using media attention and not people that are foreign criminals that you'll never be able to catch. This is what I've been saying ad nausem on the forum especially in the general discussion section for like the past year if you take a look lol. I'm glad someone finally agrees with me, and we see the results speak for themselves as well. You have. I remember where we both talked about how the FBI wasted a slot for over six years with Semion Mogilevich, whom was in a place where the FBI could never get to him, which was known from day one. Same with some of the other folks they've put on there. I get why they do it but you need to put people on the list you can actually get, not the ones you wish you could get.

Can I just ask: am I the only one genuinely surprised only four Top Tenners have been caught as a direct result of the FBI website? I figured it would be WAY higher than that by now.

Not sure. Who were the other three? I think TV (or streaming to your tv or device) is still the most powerful medium to catching these suspects because there's something about seeing them up close and the story is more impactful if told well.

Strickland.

Ah ok I really can't speak for online as to me this suggests better outreach within foreign countries and especially Latin American countries (and to a lesser extent, Canada) could help. Putting posters up in popular tourist spots cities etc... (I know the last thing someone on vacation wants to see is a murder suspect's face on a bulletin board but hey whatever works). I also feel leads need to be pushed in homeless shelters more as well. I realize I'm going off on tangents when the question was about online captures, but I think there really isn't a concrete answer other than perhaps trying to publicize the website wanted list more.

To think Octaviano Juarez-Corro was captured earlier this year in February, as the first capture for the top ten list since Yaser Said in August 2020, and for OJC to be back in the U.S. 8 months later after his capture means that the victims and their families are pretty much at the beginning of the end, of this brutal chapter, sadly it won’t bring back the deceased loved ones, but at least there can be some sort of closure in the end knowing this monster will never be able to out in public ever again.

Heck, I have heard of even higher bail amounts for mass killings/shootings.

It seems Octaviano met his maker this morning and divine justice was served, he’s facing judgement from the man upstairs. At least the victims families won’t have to worry about him anymore, he can’t hurt anyone anymore.
