I doubt that the IMDB actor is the same person. One of the FBI Agents in the announcement that they were adding him to the list said that while they weren’t entirely sure what Carlson did to earn money, he said he believes he lived off of family money.

I don’t know how significant this is, but when I travelled to Florida a couple of years ago, I bought a license plate as a souvenir and it’s fairly easy to do so.
Since Carlson is alleged to have ties to Florida, I wouldn’t be surprised if he bought a license plate from a gift shop and removed the date stickers from another car to make it seem like they aren’t expired or he may have stolen plates from another vehicle and put them on his Hyundai Accent he is alleged to be driving.
The vehicle is a huge part of the manhunt and since we haven’t heard whether that vehicle was recovered yet or not, unless the confirmed sighting was that they have located that car.

A lot of fugitives are always one traffic stop away from a capture. (It's amazing that's how a lot of them go down- tracking them for years and something mundane as that stops them). It is good to mention his vehicle to be on the safe side but to be honest yeah I doubt he'd be dumb enough to drive a vehicle he knows police are looking for and is driving another one, how he got it is a different story. He could be laying low, renting vehicles under aliases, hitchhiking (that's a scary thought) etc...

According to the press release, investigators believe Carlson may have stolen a plate from another vehicle in an effort to avoid capture. But in all honesty, there is one thing I also have a hard time understanding..... along with investigators. How does Carlson make a living? How does he get money? It’s the Deep South, it’s mostly rural area and some densely populated areas, but could it be possible Carlson may be working as a ranch/farm hand or laborer? www.fbi.gov/contact-us/field-offices/losangeles/news/press-releases/officials-confirm-recent-sighting-in-south-carolina-of-greg-carlson-top-ten-fugitive-from-los-angeles-wanted-for-armed-sexual-assault

Perhaps and yes he may have stolen a plate.
I don't want to accuse anyone of helping him but often when a fugitive stays on the run this long it us because a family member is helping them as well. (Not saying this is the case with Carlson, just in general).
Carlson does need to make money somehow, unless he found a girlfriend to mooch off of (which is of course a terrifying thought).

Details are scant right now but Carlson was apparently shot and killed by federal agents in North Carolina. This actually is not really a surprise considering his recent police escapes and what he was wanted for, but as alluded to before, he's actually surprisingly the first fugitive since 2012 (Adam Mayes) to die while still on the top ten list. (Donald Webb was off the list when his body was found). I am glad to see Carlson can never harm another woman ever again. www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-fbi-most-wanted-carson-20190213-story.html

I think this seemed inevitable in retrospect that this is how it was going to end, but yeah it is a bit crazy at first to see.

Wow! I’m just thankful that it appears no law enforcement agents were harmed during this arrest attempt, let’s hope it stays that way.
And yes, Greg Carlson will never be able to harm another woman ever again.

Just wanted to clarify it's not clear from what I've read if federal agents or local authorities shot and killed Carlson but both were apparently in the hotel room. (So I guess technically both did but perhaps later articles were clarify).

Just wanted to add as relieving as it is that Carlson is no more (you always want to catch a suspect alive no matter how evil they are, but when a guy points a gun at you all bets are off ), I do have a fear that there a lot more victims out there, and he is no longer alive to confess to any more alleged crimes.
DNA hits may take care of some aspects, but I hope information is still sought in the media I'm regards to anyone who may have been harmed or came in contact with him.
