And yes this is the first sex crimes fugitive added to the top ten list since Walter Lee Williams in 2013, and the first fugitive not wanted for murder since Myloh Mason (who was wanted for attempted murder) was added in 2014. (Although Rafael Caro-Quintero is technically wanted as a drug trafficker, but it is his believed role in the murder of a DEA agent that really got him added to the list which is why I'm not counting him). I’m actually very confident he’s going to be caught quick since other L.A. area top ten fugitives have been caught in less than a month. (Eg.... Walter Lee Williams, Philip Policarpio, and Marlon Jones) I hope this is the start of a new trend

100% behind Greg Alyn Carlson making the Ten Most Wanted List.
With confirmed crimes linked through DNA dating back 15 years, who knows how many women have been victimized by this alleged monster. Obviously I don't want that number going up any higher, so this addition will hopefully lead to a quick apprehension.

I fully support his addition to the list. In the possible candidates thread, I had listed him, but forgot to include him in more recent posts. 😖 I think the reason the FBI added Carlson is very simple: they are worried about a repeat of the Maghfoor Mansoor case. Mansoor killed a construction worker during a high-speed chase in Louisiana to avoid arrest. His charges? Kidnapping and armed sexual assault. Because Carlson has already engaged in one high speed pursuit that had to be called off for public safety and because he has a stolen handgun, he is very much a danger to the public. I think he will do anything to avoid arrest at this point.

Wanted to edit/clarify an earlier post of mine- Carlson is the first general sex crimes fugitive not wanted for murder.
Robert Van Wisse was wanted for rape and murder.

Wanted to edit/clarify an earlier post of mine- Carlson is the first general sex crimes fugitive not wanted for murder. Robert Van Wisse was wanted for rape and murder. I also fear that Carlson would go out in a shoot out and possibly hurt someone, which isn’t really something I featured with Antwan Mims, but I fear it a lot more since Carlson said “he wasn’t returning to Los Angeles to face charges” in the end it could just be bluff, but during an investigation, you never know if the fugitive really does follow through on their word.

I remember the case of Edward Mathis (Capture #758 - I think) who was on the USMS 15 Most Wanted List until 2003. The fourth AMW profile of him led police to a hotel in Redfield, MI. He vowed he would never be taken alive. He was right. Cops entered his hotel room, he pointed a gun at them, and was shot and killed. I fear that Carlson not only could end up the same way, but he could kill cops, too on the way out.

Wow, that’s an excellent composite. They should have included this in the flyer (they did with Eric Rudolph).

Good decision by the FBI ago add a non-murder/organized crime fugitive to fill this spot.

Sorry for the late reply, but yeah, we haven't had a *current* fugitive on the FBI's top ten list die since Adam Mayes in 2012 (Donald Webb was no longer on the list when his body was found). Carlson does seem like the type of guy who will not go down quietly. We just have to hope if he does, he takes only himself and no one else with him. (Thankfully, law enforcement has gotten better and better in recent years of taking suspects down before they can even attempt to kill anyone- if you catch Carlson by surprise and tackle him from behind when he's not expecting it, there's not much he can do, still the tragic recent deaths of two Interpol agents in the takedown of 'Hunt' fugitive Orlando Orea should be a cautionary tale).
