On September 3, 2017, Carlson was arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department for assault with intent to commit rape, burglary, and assault with a deadly weapon (firearm). On September 26, 2017, Carlson posted bond and was released. Moderator Note: If you have any news-related updates on this case, please contact us here: amwfans.com/thread/1662/website-contact-form-- Thoughts? Good for the FBI to have added this case to their website today as I didn't see any coverage through Google. That's a shame as I feel Greg Carlson should be an easy fugitive to locate. It also concerns me as to how someone accused of committing "several armed sexual assaults" as described by the FBI poster hasn't gotten any online attention up to this point. web.archive.org/web/20180125213424/https://www.fbi.gov/wanted/additional/greg-alyn-carlson UPDATE from side admin: On Thursday, September 27th, 2018, Greg Alyn Carlson was still at large and added to the FBI's top ten most wanted fugitives list. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call their local FBI office or the nearest American Embassy or Consulate.www.fbi.gov/wanted/topten/greg-alyn-carlson

Going into the new year and after something personal happening within the past month, sexual assaults are now pretty high on my list of crimes fugitives commit.
It’s upsetting that there hasn’t been any media attention in this case but hopefully he can be caught soon.

In terms of recent fugitives Contenders, if a spot opens up, I’d consider him for the FBI Top Ten based on the fact that he has committed several armed sexual assaults, which is in the category of a violent crime.

The FBI seems to really want to catch Carlson for obvious reasons- I simply blanked out on him when making my most likely contenders list- imo him and Antwan Mims are probably the top two contenders right now should a spot open up in the near future.

Also he led police on a chase somewhere in Louisiana, or somewhere in the south and he is a very grave danger to anyone that he comes into contact with. I’m glad they’re offering a $25,000 reward for his capture to bring the spotlight to his case. Hopefully this new reward will reel him in like we did with Dork Weatherhead.

Though it wasn't a Crimes Against Children case (that we've confirmed so far), I'm glad to know the FBI has added another sexual criminal to their Ten Most Wanted list.
P.S. It's also exactly 1/4 of a year since Sequence Number 519, Antwan Tamon "Tank" Mims was added at the end of this past spring on Jne. 27.

To reflect the new addition and the departure of Ravelo who has been on the list for almost 9 years, I’m glad they chose Carlson as a way to change things up. I didn’t really expect him to make the list, but I also didn’t expect him to be tied to Sexual Assaults dating back to 2003. So I understand the incentive to take him into custody.

I've moved him to the top ten section and I must say this is an excellent choice! I'm sorry for what he's accused of, but very glad they finally added him. Fugitivehunter666, if you're reading this, please check your private messages, as we have a way of doing things when a fugitive is added to the top ten list

Well it made sense that they added Carlson since it was around this time a year ago that he was arrested.

And yes this is the first sex crimes fugitive added to the top ten list since Walter Lee Williams in 2013, and the first fugitive not wanted for murder since Myloh Mason (who was wanted for attempted murder) was added in 2014. (Although Rafael Caro-Quintero is technically wanted as a drug trafficker, but it is his believed role in the murder of a DEA agent that really got him added to the list which is why I'm not counting him).
