This week has been huge for this case as Ravelo has been brought to the spotlight once again. Also a wanted by the FBI podcast has come out and they have a sample of Ravelo's voice. Ravelo: Sí, a ponerse, sí, en otro lado. Yo no creo que el vato vaya a salir con su chingera pero tomes tu precaución. Translation: yes, put them, yes on the other side. I don't think that homie is going to come out and f**k around but take precaution. My question is when was the recording taken? Before or after 2009? Again that's very hard to know as recodings don't have dates on them. If it's afterwards then it shows the FBI is investigating it in depth. Also in the recording, it seems like they maybe executing someone or are planning to wack them. www.fbi.gov/audio-repository/wanted-podcast-eduardo-ravelo-top-ten-fugitive-031017.mp3/view

Seeing the 1992 images of Ravelo more in depth I notice a wooden wall in the background. Now I'm thinking these images were likely taken in a home in Texas, since homes in Mexico are made of concrete, unless it happens to be a closet door. But then again it could be a little shed for all we know.

I never have thought that Ravelo was a fugitive that was well suited to be put on the FBI Top 10 list. In my opinion, the Top 10 list should be used for the fugitives that the public can assist with. Ravelo is a powerful man who is almost certainly not in the U.S. and he is well protected. He's been on the list for eight years, I think it's time to remove him because he's not a man that can be captured, just like Mogilevich. I think he should be the next one replaced on the list after Van Wisse is finally given his replacement.

I wonder if maybe Interpol should make a Top 50 worldwide most wanted international crime figures list which would have fugitives such as Ravelo and Mogilevich, while the FBI Ten Most Wanted would focus more on fugitives like Robert Fisher, Fidel Urbina, Jason Derek Brown, Jose Luis Saenz, etc.

I know this may be way too early for me to talk about this and this case likely may not fit with the current format, but could it be possible that Ravelo may be considered for the 5th season of "The Hunt" since the updates came out back in March and filming for season 5 usually happens around this time (Macedo and Patel's episodes were filmed around this time) and also they are featuring domestic terrorist Donna Borup this season so it could be possible right?

Eduardo Ravelo’s press release from his addition in 2009: New Top Ten Fugitive Leader of Violent Barrio Azteca Gang ravelo500.jpg Eduardo Ravelo Wanted Poster 10/20/09 Eduardo Ravelo—leader of a violent street and prison gang operating out of Juarez, Mexico—is the second of three new additions to our Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list. We are offering up to $100,000 for information leading directly to his arrest. Ravelo heads the Barrio Azteca gang in Juarez, and is charged with a variety of crimes, including racketeering, money laundering, and possession with intent to distribute heroin and cocaine. Although he has not been charged with murder, Ravelo and his gang members are allegedly hitmen for a Mexican drug cartel and are responsible for multiple homicides. “From everything our intelligence sources tell us,” said Special Agent Samantha Mikeska, who has been working cases related to the gang since 2003, “Ravelo is a ruthless killer who has absolutely no respect for human life.” In Juarez, there is a war going on between rival drug cartels, said Mikeska, who works in our El Paso office, and Barrio Azteca is affiliated with one of them—the Vicente Carrillo Fuentes drug trafficking organization. The city, located on the other side of the border from El Paso, Texas, has had about 2,000 murders so far this year. Barrio Azteca has approximately 600 active members who engage in murder, assault, extortion, human and drug trafficking, and other crimes. Many of the members are in U.S. and Mexican prisons and benefit from the gang’s illicit profits by having funds placed in their prison commissary accounts, Mikeska said. “They are well organized,” she added, “and they are dangerous.” Ravelo, also known as “Tablas,” is believed to be in his mid-40s. He is 5-feet-9-inches tall and weighs between 150 and 180 pounds. He has a scar on his face and tattoos on his chest, abdomen, and back, although authorities believe he may have had plastic surgery and even altered his fingerprints. Ravelo is considered armed and extremely dangerous. We need your help. If you have any information concerning Ravelo, please contact your local FBI office or the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate or submit a tip electronically. “If he gets picked up,” Mikeska said, “it will put a big dent in the gang’s operation.” The bottom line, she added: “Ravelo needs to be brought to justice.“ For a full list of the fugitives and missing persons we’re looking for, please visit our Wanted by the FBI webpage. archives.fbi.gov/archives/news/stories/2009/october/ravelo_102009

I actually have to mention that this year Mexico is going through a presidential election, the incumbent outgoing government has managed to increase the violence because of his careless and reckless negligence, that now a progressive, left wing populist has managed to emerge as a clear front runner. Reason why I bring this up, is because this particular candidate has stated he’d legalize drugs and give amnesty to cartel heads in an effort to bring peace. Just curious what’ll happen to Eduardo Ravelo if this happens?? Any thoughts or anyone wants to add something?? panampost.com/elena-toledo/2017/12/05/mexicos-leftist-candidate-amlo-suggests-amnesty-for-drug-traffickers/

While I don't know about cartel heads wanted for crimes only in Mexico, Ravelo is still wanted on various charges in the U.S. as well as the triple murder which included a pregnant consulate employee. (Might have happened in Juarez but is still not something the U.S. will and definitely shouldn't forget).

Today marks the 8th anniversary of the U.S. consulate triple murders that occurred in March 2010. It also marks a year since the FBI since they issued their plea for tips.
Any thoughts after a year since the Press Release?
Personally I know it takes awhile to get to someone, but if they’ve gotten voice recordings of him and additional images, it’s likely that the end game is here.

They have a new composite sketch of Ravelo effectively replacing his age progressed image from 2013. I don’t know if this is an age progressed image or a composite sketch on how Ravelo looks based on something investigators found. www.fbi.gov/wanted/topten/eduardo-ravelo

Nice to see. Although as horrible as Ravelo is allegedly, I feel like investigative work rather than the public giving tips will be his undoing.
