I remember this and it was certainly a strange case. I don't know if they were said to be possibly connected but since this involves a body washing ashore from Long Island (although it wound up in Westchester), it reminds me they also did the case of a Long Island Serial Killer. I often wondered that too, wonder also why there haven't been anew leads nor developpments in this case since a long time.

I remember when that case was aired on AMW, they described the suspect as a man with a ponytail, a goatee and somewhat of a braggart. With the specific software the fbi has, the surveillance vids could be used for identifying the suspect through federal prisons that are in the US. I wonder why that hasn't been done.

I have a new possible theory. A Romanian national wanted for a Louisiana craigslist scheme named Gheorghe Olar just surrended to authorities. I'm still not sure I understand what the exact scam was but it involved Romanian nationals defrauding citizens out of over 1 million dollars. It seems the fraud was done on line but not in person but a few things from this case piqued my interest. If you ask me, Mr. Olar, who is 49-years old (and would have been 41 back in 2006) can somewhat pass as looking similar to the Al Kite suspect sketch. The Al Kite suspect was supposedly in his 40's, 5'11, and 180 lbs. Olar was 41 and is 5'10. The weight is a bit off but it's entirely possible the suspect could have gained weight. Just intrigues me since he's a Romanian involved in a Craigslist scam, also in his 40's at the time of the murder, and can somewhat pass as looking like the guy in the sketch. Thoughts? www.katc.com/news/update-2-suspects-sought-by-us-marshals-for-craigslist-scheme/theadvocate.com/news/10525897-123/ag-reports-breaking-up-romanianGlad you found this Scumhunter. There are actually a lot of similarities here. Indeed

We need to remember that the sketch is that of someone who was seen leaving the store late; if the drug stories are true, it wouldn't be too far-fetched for someone to be leaving through the back. Maybe the witnesses missed seeing the actual killer. I think that everyone knows a lot more than what they're saying. There's a chance the couple's friends and acquaintances know who's responsible, but won't cooperate because either they're involved with dealing, or they're terrified of someone who'd execute two young teens over some weed. I don't know what happened with the lawsuit against the owner, but they need to answer some questions. Were they aware of what was happening, did they try to stop it, or were they even part of it? Also, what was a 15 year-old doing closing a store by himself at around midnight? A lot of coherent remarks and deductions. Perhaps the friends or acquaintances have been threatened of being killed if they ever talk to the police. Also one might dig up what was the owner's role in that case. And to your last question, normally a 15 years old kid is not supposed to close a store at midnight.

Not an update on the case, but I just wanted to add that AMW also profiled the Las Cruces Bowling Alley Murders in 2004, and during that broadcast John Walsh said the case had been profiled in 1994. I suspect AMW probably first aired the case circa 1991, though I have no proof of this. I remember about the case being aired back in 2004 and about the mention of the drug cartel too, so I wouldn't be astonished that it was a drug related murder. I haven't heard nor seen nothing new since the airing of the case

Perhaps, he changed his name and perhaps lives in a place where in Ireland none would never go investigate
