Let's do it with the Robert Ironside method. Queries: -Was there any bullets identification done by the ballistics lab to see if they match a handgun used in other unsolved crimes? -Were there any witness who reported to have seen and clearly identify the man involved in the murders? -Why wasn't a sketch distributed all across the US to all police department or sheriffs offices in order to apprehend and arrest this man? -If Donald Albin Blom matches the suspect description and that the grooves of bullet shots from his pistol are the same that the ones that killed his victims why isn't he behind bars. -If he has a car, was it ever identified?

I am pretty sure Abbott is well protected by corrupt advocates and other south american mafia syndicates and drug cartels. It will take more than a counter intelligence unit to really discover what is behind the curtains with him.The question is to follow and know who helped indirectly him to escape the maximum Security prison that will perhaps give lead to where he is.

Hiers must be extremely smart or very good connections to escape law enforcement for such a long time. Pretty sure, he lives under another identity and with a very discrete way of behaving, maybe he even dyed his hair who knows.

it could be that the certain law enforcement agency or officers who were intimidating potential witnesses to Jerry's disappearance were very certainly persons of interest or/and either white supremacists. I had again a look at the car Armstrong drove that day, it was a specific car with a specific stripe and specific hood scoops as I could see in the photo of the fbi. gov link, so it was a 1973 Ascott White Lemans GT available with a black red stripe. Nowadays it is a collectible. If the family has kept the bill of purchase of the car and if the serial number was registered, you could easily find who has it now

Never heard of that case on AMW too, but what is more unthinkable to me is that the files were lost! Has the car of the suspect ever been identified? Has the license plate been seen?? Why isn't Askins a persons of interest anymore?

if a cal 22 was used then it was probably burgess who did it, if something bigger then I don't know, probably detectives must look with weapons of bigger calibers that were used in other crimes in the same area. In CSI departments, there is a software that already recognizes whether a gun was involved in crime or not and which can from fragments of a bullet can recreate a whole bullet by using 3d technlogy and by even printing in 3d.

I also agree that the victims did not deserve being the victims of a triple homicide, just because of their lifestyle. Besides, anyone who could plot and commit a triple homicide should be considered a threat to anyone around them. This does sound like this was gang/drug motivated and due to that, it may be harder to bring the perpetrators to trial. Spot on. Problems is that gang/drug related wars/crimes are the real problems. Perhaps were some members of the family drug consumers or/and buyers? Maybe they planned to report to the police and someone tipped the family to the gang members. I don't think it is a random murder.

I do wonder if there has been some research done with sketch through those who served in the US Army back in the days or even a research done with the license plates of the car
