Glad he got arrested, wonder if he will face death penalty or jail for life sentence.

Glad to hear that justice has been served and that closure of the case has been made.

Saw the episode (to warn everyone in advance the episode is entirely in French with only subtitles- there is no voice-over translation which is basically one of my few complaints of an otherwise good episode). Anyway, I know it's cliche to compare every family murder where the father is the suspect case to Robert Fisher but to sum up the episode- Xavier was a seeming family and religious man where those who knew him couldn't believe committed the murders until the evidence became obvious that he did- and now the question is if he committed suicide or is still in the run. Some believe Xavier died somewhere in the back country in France- despite careful planning to prevent the bodies from being discovered until much later his car was found and he was seen getting out money from an ATM later. His actions seemed to indicate he was not afraid of being seen since he was going to kill himself anyway. However, two people who knew him including his best friend believe he escaped to Latin America since he is bilingual. The Scotland false arrest wasn't mentioned, but I should note Xavier and his family tried to move to Florida in 2000 (they were unsuccessful and this is allegedly what started the downward spiral of failures and not being the well-to-do businessman Xavier was made out to be that lead to his allegedly killing his family). Also the episode ends by mentioning anyone having information on Xavier's whereabouts can submit tips at unsolved.com so there's an official source to recommend now. Probably he lives under a false alias and entered in the USA illegally. There have been many rumors about a so called suicide of him in France but never has a body been found. Probably he had to paid someone to forge some papers and made perhaps an aesthetic surgery so that he didn't get recognized.

Glad that he got caught and he will face the death penalty. Justice has been served. We mentioned the death penalty because he made a plea to avoid it. He was sentenced to life instead, but had a sentencing where all the surviving victims and victims' loved ones were able to speak and confront him. good to hear

I think Barrera is a candidate for the Ten Most Wanted List at this point. He is wanted for two very violent bank robberies (he was on the FBI's site at one point). Thing is, if he's wanted for questioning for a murder, the fact that he is still wanted on federal charges is still enough to put him on the list. When Andrew Cunanan was on the list, he was only charged with one murder, and was wanted for questioning in the other four. Any news on this case?

Only three years and no lieftime jail sentence!!!! Death penalty would have been much better in his case.

he has certainly served in the American mafia but which clan that has to be investigated, my guess is that he served in one of the five families.

Off-topic but this is why I'm so ticked when they had a chance to capture Jesus Salazar but the DA turned down a 30 year sentence without consulting Felicia Ruiz's family. I'll take some justice over no justice at all and you never know what will happen to someone while in prison (another off-topic but Alexander Hill Jr. died of natural causes at age 52 after not getting the death penalty he deserved). So yeah I am glad to see while not entirely perfect justice has essentially been served. Glad too that Justice has been served

I have to admit, this is one of the fugitives I'm surprised hasn't been taken down one way or another given the fact her lifestyle seems to be one where she'll be out in the open more often then not. Has there been any age enhanced sketch of her made to this date? Why hasn't been this sketch sent to Scotland Yard, Interpol and in the California Police departments? Those are two big questions that can bring answers solving the case.

Found a 2000 article on the Warren Stern manhunt on Newspapers.com. In it they mentioned sightings in Salt Lake City, Nevada and Baja California, Mexico. I know the FBI has said they believe he has fled the United States. I’m wondering if the Baja sighting had anything to do with it. I’m curious if they have information that Stern fled the US, or if they are just going with that based on the lack of sightings here in the US. I was wondering if his age enhanced sktech has been distributed to world wide law enforcement agencies as well as to all police departments in the USA. If he lives in USA or abroad, he must be living under a false identity and someone helped him to get it. One other possibility is that he can be linked indirectly to the mob.

I think that Emory is almost certainly dead. The odds of Elena jumping and Adam not doing so seem slim. Where as it may be a plausible theory, what it all comes down to is how much did Adam really love Elena, I tend to think he never jumped and deceived his own wife by either not jumping with her or pushing her, which makes him complicit in the death of his wife. Then again there really is no evidence if he’s dead or not. The stress of already being convicted and facing a significant sentence for it may be a reason why Adam may have wanted a clean slate, which is another theory why only his wife Elena’s remains were found and not his. Also I think the reason Emery was readded in 2010 was because they probably reassessed the case and felt there was a good possibility he was alive. They were going to make age progressed images of him 2 years ago and still nothing and right now he would be 55 years old today as of this posting. I was wondering if sketches of Emory with age enhanced photos have ever been published and shown in the newspapers or on TV channels.

were there any ballistics tests done? were the identified suspects of back then ever questionned?? why hasn't there been a deeper questionning with them? Those are all great questions and welcome back by the way lol, but once again a lot of times these are questions that would be impossible for me to answer unless I was an investigator on the case itself. It is entirely possible all of your questions were done but that information hasn't been made public. Investigators have their reasons for not disclosing information. Sometimes it is for good reason, and sometimes they're being too secretive, as sometimes a detail being finally released to the public helps solve the case. No idea if it is the former or latter here. So yeah just for future reference if I know an answer, I'll answer it, otherwise I will simply acknowledge and like your very well-thought out questions Hi Do you have any updates regarding the questions I asked back then? Or have the leads gone cold? Thanks in advance for your attention brought to my message
