John Alexander "Dean" Riccardi, #134, Jnr 4, 1991 A mob burglar who killed his girlfriend and her best friend in 1983 by shooting them in the head in a jealous rage. The girlfriend, Connie Hopkins-Navarro, was the mother of Dave Navarro from 2 rock bands, including the Red Hot Chili Peppers. He was busted 7.8 years later in Houston, Texas, self-employed with a briefcase full of 1 Megadollar in spoils. He was condemned to death, but the judge concluded his trial was unfair, and commuted his sentence to life in prison. vs Joaquin Carlos Amelo-Brito, #189, Jnr 23, 1992 In March 1990, his girlfriend broke up with him. As revenge, he sexually murdered her 20 year old sister and her unborn fetus in Tucson, Arizona. AMW tipsters led the FBI to Detroit, Michigan where he was trying to call his wife. They traced his call and busted him. He has since been sentenced to life in prison. and Carl Anthony Terry, #161, Jly 27, 1991 He committed his first murder in the 1960s and was condemned to death. When the state of Missouri outlawed the death penalty, he was commuted to life in prison, but he escaped the correctional facility in 1990. He killed his second victim after the escape, then attacked several witnesses to his older crimes, killing 2 more and wounding 1. He was busted in California. vs Cesar Uriel Mazariego-Molina, #197, Apl 6, 1992 An undocumented worker from El Salvador convicted of raping his female cousin. He murdered 4 people: His own uncle, a fellow worker, a California deputy, and one other man. A tipster led cops to Plattekill, New York. They thought he was reaching for his gun, and so shot him dead. Riccardi killed 2 women, including the mother of one of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, while Amelo-Brito was one of the few AMW captures wanted for a sex slaying of an unborn child. Terry and Mazariego each killed 4 people. I'll reserve voting until I hear a more convincing argument. I go to vote for Cesar Uriel Mazariego-Molina and Joaquin Carlos Amelo-Brito in this one Because they worse than Riccardi and Terry

I vote for Ricciardi first because the RHCP connection makes it the more infamous capture. It's not everyday one of AMW's victims winds up being a celebrity themselves.
Second was impossible almost way too close to call. I'm only voting for Terry because of his staus as a prison escapee and that his crimes dated back to the 60's.

These are both very difficult matches to decide voting for. I'll vote the same as Scumhunter on this one.

I'll vote for Riccardi in the first matchup. The crime itself was brutal, and the connection to Dave Navarro makes it even more unique.
In the second, I'm going to vote for Carl Terry. After being condemned to death row then commuted, Terry was let out of prison after somehow ending up in a program for inmates with good behavior (in his Final Justice profile, one investigator said they were still trying to figure out how Terry ended up there; he said that's the last place Terry should have been). After escaping, he then committed yet another murder. Prison did nothing to change him, which shows how dangerous he was.

For the sake of making the votes as close as possible, and for the sex crime factor, I'll vote for Joaquin Carlos Amelo-Brito and Cesar Uriel Mazariego-Molina. That means Riccardi and Terry advance 3 to 2. Now the 2nd Century contest is halfway over, and Round 2 can begin!
Kenneth Cole, #110, May 10, 1990 An ex-babysitter. In April 1989, he abducted a 5 year old girl he was obsessed with named Nicole Ravesi from Massachusetts. A campsite owner in Eastpoint, Florida recognized him and busted him. Ravesi was AMW Missing Recovery #1.
vs
Scott Anthony Haneline, #109, May 10, 1990 A military deserter. In late May 1982, a woman hired him to kill her ex-husband, a soldier stationed in Fort Stewart, Georgia. He was busted in Monticello, Indiana, where he was recovering after he accidentally shot his hand.
and
Gerald Ray Reeves, #129, Dcb 8, 1990 A delinquent juvenile. By age 16, he had a mile-long rap sheet, mostly for robbery and theft. At age 20, he escaped a youth reform camp. In April 1990, he robbed a sunglasses salesman in Hollywood, California, and stabbed him to death. Over the next 7 months, he stayed on the run by using bisexual charms to convince men and women to let him crash at their homes for a few days, and stole from them instead. He was busted in Reno, Nevada, taking a vacation at the Circus Circus Hotel and Casino. He sobbed in the courtroom in an attempt to buy sympathy as he was sentenced to life without parole.
vs
Stanley W Beatty, #184, Dcb 19, 1991 In July 1990, he shot into a crowd in Sacramento. A college football star was killed, 3 were wounded, and 200 were unharmed. He was also a person of interest in 1 other wounding. In Brooklyn, New York, he saw himself on America's Most Wanted, called a lawyer, and arranged a surrender in a church.
My votes go to Kenneth Cole for the capture and first recovery, and Beatty for 1 dead, 3-4 wounded, and 200 whom he barely missed.

I vote for Cole for the forst capture and recovery and Reeves due to his overall pattern of murders as opposed to one incident and colorful backstory. Plus, always good when a cold-blooded murderer caught by AMW sobs in the courtroom.

Kenneth Cole and Stanley W Beatty advance 2 to 1. I realized it was never going to get more votes, so I cut it short.
Roger Bobsie Hanson, #137, Jnr 14, 1991 In July 1986, he sliced up his wife with a machete and burned her corpse using gasoline in North Carolina. He was busted in Canada.
vs
Darryl "Mutt" Smith, #157, Jne 23, 1991 Before he became a familiar face on AMW, he'd been convicted of 2nd degree murder. In October 1990, he struck again, shooting a rap singer to death in front of a crowd in Sarasota, Florida. AMW busted him in nearby Miami, and he's now serving a life sentence.
and
Gregory Tarkenton, #169, Spt 6, 1991 In October 1979, he beheaded a woman in Pennsylvania whom acquaintances described as his girlfriend using 3 large blades, including a sword. He escaped a Harrisburg prison four days before 1983. AMW busted him in Englewood, Colorado, studying to become a nurse's aide. He's now serving life in prison.
vs
Vincent Giattino, #162, Jly 29, 1991 A Bonanno Mafia branch hitman on the US Marshal's 15 Most Wanted list. In Brooklyn, New York, he shot an FBI informant to death. He also accessorized to a woman's murder and dismemberment. He was busted in Pompano Beach, Florida.
My votes go to Darryl "Mutt" Smith and Vincent Giattino because each was responsible for and/or involved in 2 murders.

Mutt and Giattino defeat Bobsie and Tarkenton 1 to 3.
Segundo Balaguer "Cuco" Matias, #100, Mrc 11, 1990 A flashy, high-rolling cocaine trafficker. In 1986, he met a supermodel during a trip to Hawaii. Over about a year and a half, their ties grew until the winter of 1988, when he convinced her to help him smuggle cash. In late April 1988, he shot her dead for breaking up with him. In March 1990, an AMW tipster busted him in a Los Angeles residence he'd moved into with two other women. He's now serving life in prison.
vs
Neil Wilson Wilding, #198, Apl 4, 1992 In late August 1988, he broke into an apartment in Florida and sexually murdered a woman. He was connected via DNA evidence in July 1991. AMW tips led law enforcement to Oklahoma, where he was arrested on a traffic violation. He is on death row to this day.
and
Orlando Maisonet, #120, Oct 8, 1990 In North Philadelphia, he robbed the store at which he worked, killing the owner. He stabbed an accomplice to death to prevent him from snitching. He was busted in Puerto Rico and condemned to death.
vs
Gary and Orlando Fernandez, and Maria DeLoris Monserrate, #180/#181/#182, Dcb 10/Dcb 6, 1991 In July 1990, Gary Fernandez, his son Orlando, and Gary's girlfriend Maria, kidnapped and murdered a couple in a Jacksonville, Florida house robbery. Detectives connected them to the crimes via a bloody towel and a break-in at a pawn shop. All three fled to the Dominican Republic where AMW tipsters busted them over the course of 5 days.
My votes go to Neil Wilson Wilding for the sex crime factor and Gary Fernandez's party because they were multiple murderers, a fugitive trio, and busted in the Dominican Republic, which is more impressive than the sum of its parts.
