I've got some more cases I'm looking into! I never finished my guide in December so I decided to keep it going during the shelter in place order.
David Mancha - Wanted out of Texas for child sexual assault. I'm having a hard time figuring out how to search for warrants in Texas. I know for sure he's not in prison because he doesn't show up in the DOC search.
Harold Thompson - Former pharmacist accused of supplying psuedoephedrine to meth manufacturers. He doesn't appear in either the Oklahoma warrant search or in the Oklahoma DOC. I could have sworn I read somewhere that the charges were dropped, but I can't seem to find any article (curiously, there's a college professor with the exact same name as him - Harold Dean Thompson Jr. - so many results with his name come up during searches).
Maria Velasquez-Reyes - Accused of human trafficking. She was profiled alongside An Kim and Un Brown in 2006, both of whom have been captured. Her profile page doesn't work on amw.com's archive anymore, but it appears she was still wanted as of 2009. I'll try and see if I can find any more information on her.
There's some more but these are the ones I'm most interested in now.

As the site admin, I would just like to remind everyone reading this thread that we are a fan page for AMW, The Hunt, In Pursuit etc... and not the actual show. This is a thread for cases from the show (and sometimes other fugitive cases) that we wanted to make postings about but couldn't find any information about to profile them- therefore even though we technically shouldn't, I will handle tips for cases we have threads on if someone sends them if the person wants me to (even though I still advise to call Crime Stoppers instead), but the cases in the "Cases where more info is Need" thread are different because we basically don't know anything about them. These are cases we are posting so we can hopefully get more information on them (warrant year, date aired on AMW etc..) make a stand-alone thread AND THEN we can help with them. These are names we have casually mentioned here but (with some exceptions after the fact) haven't profiled.
While if you have more info to give us so we can make a thread that's one thing, if you have a specific tip on one of these fugitives in this thread, it is best to contact your local police, crime stoppers line etc.. (p3tips.com and the P3 Tips app you can download on your iPhone or Android usually handle anonymous tips and there are drop down menus for you to figure out based on wanted location). It's not that we don't want to help, but the cases in this threads (sans the ones we finally got info for) we basically can't unfortunately help with since we don't know much about them other than they were on AMW, where the ones in the actual sections that have stand-alone threads we know a little or a lot more about.

I wanted to know any information on the murder of Stephen Cooper who was a California man who went missing in 2005 and his remains were discovered around 2006. AMW aired his case in 2007.
I would also like to know about the murder of Pat Amin who was a Florida gas station owner who was gunned down in a robbery in 2005. AMW aired his case in 2006.

Unfortunately I can't determine if he was ever caught (nothing in PACER and Iowa courts search want to charge me to look up in addition to the hassle of getting a profile). It's possible in theory he was and served his time already but there's no way of knowing at the moment unfortunately.

The most recent article on Newspapers.com about Gerardo Garcia-Michel is from 1998, when he was still a fugitive. I utilized Iowa Courts Online and I could not find a case file/number for him. The best I could do is a traffic ticket a few months to a year before the incident he's accused of, and a civil suit the victim's family filed against him in 1998.

John Evans is on our site but unfortunately I don't know what his status is or of course if he's even alive anymore: amwfans.com/thread/2158/john-evans-arizona-1998Unfortunately I don't know anything about the AMW Gilberto Flores besides what's on LAPD website, which is a very outdated website- despite recently updating the site- they still have several fugitives listed already captured a long time ago. |
