Very strange indeed. It does seem Schneider is at least still wanted, and Austin was apparently found but may have been acquitted/had the charges dismissed. Thomas is an anomaly, though I'd suspect he and his wife are no longer together.
Thanks for all your help!

I'm still not confident enough in Schneider being at large to risk making a profile, but I'd put the over/under on more likely than not. Also, I think you got what I was trying to say anyway but I meant to say I wasn't sure if Renju Thomas was still a fugitive or not, not became a fugitive lol. But yeah keep these coming, we may get some new cases (new old cases but still) to post out of it!

Got a few more that I've been having difficulty tracking down.
Juan Lema-Ortega & Hector Zapata - Two lieutenants of former FBI Ten Most Wanted Fugitive James Springette. They were profiled alongside him during his single AMW profile in May 2002. Springette was nabbed six months after that profile, but no further information was ever released on these two. I did read an article somewhere that it was believed that Springette turned into a government informant, and if that's true, I'm betting he gave up these two, but I can't say for certain. Juan Lema-Ortega might also have gone by the name Juan Ortega (that's what John Walsh called him).
Alfonso Lara - Wanted for ordering three hitmen to commit a home invasion, then he himself killed his mother-in-law and brother-in-law. Here's what's weird about this case. I did some Googling and it appears that Lara was actually located in Mexico. I found a couple Mexican news articles that I was able to translate where he was interview. But it's unclear if he had been arrested or if he was just located. (https://web.archive.org/web/20040409203948/http://www2.amw.com/site/thisweek/L/LaraAlfonso/lara.html)
Miguel Martinez - Allegedly shot his estranged wife and his young daughter in their truck as it was in a Walmart parking lot. Somehow, both survived. Says he's wanted out of Jasper, which I assume is Indiana, but I can't confirm this for sure. Not to be confused with Miguel "Fat Mike" Martinez, a fugitive who was on GangTECC's Most Wanted List. (https://web.archive.org/web/20040606094255/http://www2.amw.com/site/thisweek/M/MartinezMiguel/martinez.html)
Leocadio Perez - Wanted for committing a workplace shooting in 1994. Perez allegedly shot two employees, killing one, and tried to shoot a third at his produce packing company a day after he'd been sent home from work for acting strangely. What I find strange about this is that I can find NOTHING on this case online. You'd think something would appear, given it was a workplace shooting, but nope. (https://web.archive.org/web/20040613020901/http://www2.amw.com/site/thisweek/P/PerezLeocadio/perez.html)
Lorenzo Salinas & Oscar Sevilla - Accused of carjacking a couple in Texas. They shot and killed the man and threw the woman out of the car. She eventually died of exposure. I can't find anything on either, though a third suspect - who was not profiled on AMW - was captured.
John Cordon & Ruben Vargas - New Jersey fugitives wanted for raping two teenage girls they had convinced to come party with them. Police believe, for reasons not clear, that they may have been fugitives from other states.

Juan David Lema is apparently or possibly deceased, after going through google translate on a comment about a Colombian merchant killed by hitmen I found this comment: "PARA SAMUEL: Juan David Lema alias Jacobo era un duro pero estaba arruinado. Su muerte se ve que dolió bastante. Hasta el senador Álvaro Uribe trinó sobre ella www.scoopnest.com/es/user/AlvaroUribeVel/873557032732852224 lo mataron con el primo que era el hombre de confianza. Tenía indictment en la USA por muerte de un policía en Islas Vírgenes cuando se fugó" www.elcolombiano.com/blogs/revelacionesdelbajomundo/comerciante-de-cali-fue-abaleado-por-sicarios-en-medellin/8899This translates to: FOR SAMUEL: Juan David Lema aka Jacobo was a tough guy but he was ruined. His death is seen to hurt a lot. Even Senator Álvaro Uribe trilled about her www.scoopnest.com/en/user/AlvaroUribeVel/873557032732852224 he was killed with the cousin who was the man of trust. He had indictment in the USA for the death of a policeman in the Virgin Islands when he escaped Apparaently there is also a translation site which seems to have a Senator tweeting about 8 armed men taking out Lema. Apparently he was surprisingly still at large in 2017 before his death based on the tweet.

As for Zapata, there is a Hector Dario Restrepo-Zapata on Facebook. It's possible he can't be extradited so he doesn't have to hide his info on social media and/or maybe it's his son.

In regards to Leocadio Perez, do you know if he had an alias of Solomon Perez and/or what state the shooting happened in? The AMW archive is confusing as they state he worked for a company based in Salinas, California but the information is from M New Jersey on one archive page and Rockland County NY on another.
When I enter Leocadio Perez in Monterrey Couty (California) records, it gives me a Solomon Perez with an active case for a "felony" and warrant issued in 2002 but the filing is September 22nd, 1994. This would match up but only if the shooting happened in California and not NY or NJ.

Shockingly, Lorenzo Salinas and Oscar Sevilla are apparently still at large! I can't believe I overlooked this one. A search of Hidalgo County court records shows they both have warrant flags next to their name and there was an arraignment on March 24th, 2003 but it mentions "no one appeared." I will try to make a profile when I get a chance but if HeadMarshal you or anyone else wants to beat me to it they're more than welcome to. pa.co.hidalgo.tx.us/CaseDetail.aspx?CaseID=1376474pa.co.hidalgo.tx.us/CaseDetail.aspx?CaseID=1376475P.S. February 16th, 2002 is the day they were aired on AMW right?

Finally, as for John Cordon and Ruben Vargas, in 2009 at least they were still at large as they mistakenly arrested Vargas's brother. Vargas's brother did not tell police who he really was and was apparently pretending to be him. He pleaded guilty to hindering prosecution and wrongful prosecution. www.nj.com/news/2009/12/trenton_man_sentenced_for_role.htmlYou don't happen to have a photo of Vargas do you? I feel safe in reasonably assuming to make a profile based on this but I'd prefer there be a photo of Vargas available.

Newspapers.com archives from 2002 officially confirm that Leocadio Perez is wanted for the murder of Juan Velasco in Salinas, California. Nothing since then in the media on the case. It was brought up in 2002 because they thought they arrested Leocadio, when in fact they had arrested Leocadio's brother. The only problem is that investigators realized the photo that was aired on AMW in 2001 (Possibly 1998 and 1995 as well from my research), was actually of Leocadio's brother and not the fugitive. So a photo of Leocadio may not exist to the best of our knowledge.

But yeah based on that I unfortunately can't personally make a profile on Perez, anyone else is welcome to try thoughm

I love AMW, but wow, did they have a lot of weird errors.
Interesting find about Juan Lema-Ortega. That's probably him, since "Lema" isn't a terribly common Latin-American name.
Perez and Vargas' case are also really bizarre, too. The mixup with Perez probably is the reason why AMW never profiled him after 2002.
Great job on all this research, by the way! I'm working on a couple more cases, but there's one I wanted to mention right off the bat.
Unknown Silver Nugget Casino Killer - Caught on Tape segment featuring a couple groups of people getting into an argument at the Silver Nugget Casino. At one point, someone pulled out a gun and began shooting. One person was killed in the shootout. The person was apparently never identified...or were they? I did some Googling and I found a civil lawsuit filed by the victim's family accusing the casino of negligence. The casino was found not liable in 2011. But here's the weird part; the lawsuit names the shooter! (Can't remember the first name but the last name was "Ott") Yet I can find no evidence that there was an actual arrest in the case, even though the civil suit clearly says Ott was the shooter. I can't explain it.

Who knows? It's weird that he was named though. I really almost want to start a TV show dedicated to finding AMW's remaining fugitives and call these law enforcement agencies to confirm what happened.
