Biden has dropped out of the race, and has endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic Nominee for President.
This is a great move on Biden’s part, he did great during his presidency, but I feel the best way to cement his legacy was to leave with his head held high in doing this. Now he can ride off into the sunset once his term ends and retire, enjoy his life etc.

I appreciate Biden making the most difficult decision of his entire political career.
I also hope all my “I’m a liberal, I’m a third party guy who hates both candidates or I’m a never Trump republican… but can’t vote for Biden” people now don’t have any “yeah but…” excuses now.
Democracy is on the line and we all got a younger alternative to Biden now. Everyone get their butts out there and vote!

So I guess I should comment since the Secret Service Director just resigned- this is correct- it was a terrible failure that the shooter was able to get as close as he did.
Also now that it seems Kamala has locked up the nomination, I would advocate for Mark Kelly to run as her VP. He is a hero a Navy veteran and astronaut from a swing state and his wife Gabby Giffords was also shot and a lot more severely than Trump’s minor ear wound so he can also speak to political violence.

Yeah I actually heard of that dude Jared loughner for reasons I don't understand kill a federal a 9 year old child and a member of Gifford's staff you know I do have a lot of respect for Giffords and mark Kelly is a very honorable man at least in my opinion like I said I see both sides of the coin

Okay so I want to wait till the Democratic convention to formally endorse Kamala Harris, but as to who I think her VP should be, the best candidate for that position is Joe Manchin…. Just kidding lol, my only pick for Harris’ running mate is KY Governor Andy “Kentucky Derby” Beshear.
That Governor has gotten things done and responded rapidly to natural disasters, which means he’ll get stuff done during a hypothetical Harris/Beshear administration and I think he’d be perfect to take on “Just a Dummy” Vance in a VP debate.

They are waiting to formally nominate her but it seems a foregone conclusion she will be. Andy Beshear seems a popular choice by many too. PA Governor Josh Shapiro was initially thought to be a front runner but I think he’s made too many controversial comments on the Israeli-Palestine conflict (and I say this as a Jewish person) and that would alienate some of the younger free Palestine voters (the issue is a lot more complicated as it’s really a Netanyahu and Hamas are both a-holes issue but for the sake of electability Shapiro probably isn’t the right choice at the moment) |

In what would have been a surprise a few weeks ago before he raised his profile, Harris has selected Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her VP pick. Walz was relatively unknown before his entertaining media appearances and coining the term "weird" to describe Trump and Vance. I'm just relieved it's not Josh Shapiro- Pennsylvania is an important swing state and it would have been nice to see a fellow Jewish person as VP but in an election that is about momentum it seems with all Shapiro's controversies- fake or not- picking him would have stunted momentum. Walz seems to have a "midwestern version of Bernie Sanders" appeal with young voters. The only things Republicans really have on him is he was Governor during the George Floyd riots- but A) It was justified to be upset at what happened to Floyd and B) Walz called the national guard pretty quickly.

Like I said I respect you all and your beliefs but I will say I actually really haven't heard of this dude Harris im relatively familiar with but I'm going to be honest I don't know anything about the political spectrum or the landscape of Minnesota but I do respect the culture of the state and some day I wanted to try a juicy Lucy burger in Minneapolis the whole state is very important to America so good luck to the gop ticket and the democratic ticket it's as of this moment it's anyones game but don't worry I am going to vote but I haven't figured out who yet I see positives and negatives in both but like I said I see both sides of the coin and the thing I will say regardless of who everyone who you vote for I'll still be glad to be part of this community

Im glad Harris chose Minnesota Gov. Tim “Timmayyy” Walz, to be honest he’s a guy that could appeal to someone like me and with this information coming out I just want to say that I’m all in for the Harris/Walz Ticket and hopefully it’ll help take down the Dumb/Dumber Ticket on the other side.

I don't know how to say this can any of you tell me about Kamala Harris platforms on what she wants to do if she wins I apologize but I don't know what I to say I am just not happy with how my fence sitting but I need to speak my mind and I am autistic and I just hear that both candidates are bad and I don't really know about Kama a Harris if anyone can explain like her ideology or what she wants to know it's just eating away at me I don't know who wants what it hurts because there are millions of both parties that are decent hardworking folk but I thought I would ask about Harris

Whatever faults the Democrats have, Trump incited an insurrection that killed police officers and wants to be a dictator. It’s one thing if you want to know about both parties in general but please for the love of god I’ve had enough with the both sides are bad equation when it comes to Trump. I thought Kamala replacing Biden would tone down that rhetoric and respectfully it is frustrating that I still have to clarify this lol I try my best to stay out of this thread and the only time I feel the need to comment is whenever I see “both sides are bad” and now I’ve had to unwillingly comment like five times in the past few months lol |

I should also add that Kamala is far more cognitive compared to Trump. Trump’s cognitive issues has been well documented by some media sources. I honestly do not have confidence that Trump can even last a second term and that JD Vance would have to take over (which would be even worse).
