Caro-Quintero is the biggest fugitive case to be caught since Yaser Said in 2020, ever since 2016 it’s like we get a big capture every 2 years. I’m glad he got caught for 2 reasons the first is that he can finally get a feel of American justice for what he did in 1985, and because now it opens up a slot on the list and hopefully a domestic case replaces Caro-Quintero.

I have said before that I am not a fan of capital punishment, and while RCQ cannot receive capital punishment due to extradition law, I hope if he is in fact convicted, that the Judge makes sure he knows just how lucky he is not to be receiving the death penalty. Enrique Camarena suffered an absolutely gruesome death, and it’s unfortunate he will likely just die of old age and get a much easier death than Agent Camarena. I hope he is sent to ADX Florence and that he suffers for the rest of his miserable life.

Didn't expect to see this capture happen but am glad that it has happened. Here's hoping justice will be served for Enrique Camarena.

Also sorry while still a tragedy I didn't realize the 14 marines dying were involved in the apprehension and thought it was a coincidence that it happened near the RCQ capture location. Still sad either way but unfortunate that it was because of the operation.

Rcq is fighting extradition it will probably be a few months before he's extradited I wish this was a case like Oscar Rosales where extradition was instant but it can't always be like that I guess but we'll get in an American prison custody soon enough courtesy of ksat news fortunately it seems Mexico has been fed up with as the courts ruled he can be extradited so this should only take a month or two

Caro quintero will ultimately end up in a American prison according to the article the attorney general said he will most likely throw out the protection order

My overall thoughts on this capture, but first I must point out that the U.S. Government already had known is exact location 3 months prior to his capture and the meeting in Washington was basically to go over the game plan of the operation which would result in his capture, which explains why the FBI took nearly 5 months and comfortably added Ruja Ignatova.
Anyways Rafael Caro-Quintero while he may be a legend in the historical context, he’s not a legend in the realistic and moral context, what he did in his life is nothing to celebrate and the way he was captured is proof that he was no longer relevant in Mexican drug trafficking and was just another washed up lowlife killer, whose time happened to run out. This man’s story, the farse myth, and legend about him ended on Friday, and I’m glad he was an FBI Top Ten Fugitive, so the history books can look back and say, Rafael Caro-Quintero’s final flight from justice landed him on the Top Ten List and they got him in the end, alone, in the mountains, with his freedom and life ending at that point, now he can spend whatever he has left to live in an American prison cell.

Tbh it's the summer so I'm not really thinking much about it. I think hopefully by September we'll see a new one but it did take them a while to replace Yaser Said.

And just like Yaser Said, Rafael Caro-Quintero’s capture was very high profile, with the media reporting on it endlessly, so perhaps they’ll replace him in a year like Said, however, given how active the Top Ten List has been within the past few weeks alone, I think we may see the next addition sometime between September-December if the FBI feels the need to replace him asap, if not then the FBI will wait a year to replace him and perhaps it won’t be till June 2023 we see the new one.
It took 3 months to replace Colombian Drug Trafficker and Former Ten Most Wanted Fugitive Diego Leon Montoya Sanchez, who was captured in September 2007, with Current Top Ten Fugitive Jason Derek Brown in December 2007.
