I found a Spanish language article from Sunday stating that there are unconfirmed reports that Rafael Caro-Quintero May have been captured at the Hotel Riu in Guadalajara, Mexico, however it hasn’t been been confirmed or denied as it is only a rumor at this point, however in the operation they did capture CJNG operatives. diariobasta.com/2019/03/17/detuvieron-a-rafael-caro-quintero/

The problem is Caro-Quintero is like El Chapo, although El Chapo was finally captured eventually (twice), there were plenty of false rumors of his capture and/or death before he was captured (and re-captured). I will remain cautiously optimistic and wait for the FBI website and/or American media to claim him as captured as well.

Thanks zekcat, this is why I warned to be cautiously optimistic. Hopefully Caro-Quintero's time will soon come.

They really need to turn up the heat in this case. As I have posted previously, RCQ is dealing with prostate disease, and if it’s cancerous, the odds of catching him are diminishing rapidly.

I don't know if anyone here already talked about this, but...
In April of '018, around when he was added to the FBI's Ten Most Wanted list, a journalist visited Caro-Quintero in Mazatlan. They discovered that Caro-Quintero was getting frail under a prostate illness of some kind, was subsisting in a shabby home in the mountains, had secluded himself from his wife and children, and the only lavish luxury he had left was his personal security guards. His cousin was arrested in the autumn of '017 and pled guilty in the winter of '018, and as part of a deal with prosecutors, might've made the latest allegations that Caro-Quintero's now leading the Sinaloa cartel, but the whole experience cast huge doubts on that.
Caro-Quintero isn't dead yet, but whatever he's sick with, our best shot at solving this case will be Caro-Quintero succumbing to whatever chronic illness he has. It would nullify any remaining danger he poses, but it would be a pity America couldn't formally try him for the 4 murders we talked about a while ago.

Let's hope he is found there and brought to justice.

That article you cited also hits home again - he’s sick with prostate disease. It would almost be worth it for him to surrender so he can get treatment, but I doubt he would do that. They need to find him and fast.
