www.star-telegram.com/latest-news/article209966369.htmlThis article indicates that Caro-Quintero personally pistol-whipped either John Clay Walker or Alberto Radelat before they were tortured to death. The article indicates there are numerous witnesses who say El Chapo Guzman participated in their killings, and even cut Walker’s throat with an ice pick before disposing their bodies. Further, it is indicated that El Chapo also participated in the killing of Agent Camarena, and jumped on Camarena’s ribs with his knees. It makes sense to me, since El Chapo headed the Sinaloa Cartel, and then after Caro-Quintero was released in 2013, he wound up getting a leadership role in that Cartel. The article also describes the murders of four American missionaries down in Guadalajara in 1984 (their remains have never been found). I wouldnt doubt that Caro-Quintero participated in their deaths, because he was absolutely paranoid about the possibility of undercover DEA Agents, and he probably suspected them as such. No wonder the FBI wants him so badly.

I just realized that Rafael Caro-Quintero managed to survive his first month on the FBI Top Ten. Also we forgot to mention that RCQ is one of those fugitive featured on other Most wanted lists which is the DEA’s MW List, and the Dept of State Narcotic Rewards.

I don't think any of us were expecting a guy who is basically like El Chapo to get caught in a month lol. Should be interesting to see how the manhunt progresses though.

Here’s an image of Caro-Quintero, when he gave in interview back in March 2018. I think this is what finally sent the FBI over the edge to propel him onto the list. I think adding RCQ to the list was the FBI's way of telling the Mexican Government, "This is ridiculous."

I’m wondering if Caro-Quintero is traveling with numerous bodyguards like Ravelo was suspected to have had. If so, I think there is a good chance he won’t be taken alive. I know Ravelo was taken down without a shot, but RCQ has ties to people like El Chapo, and when he was recaptured, it was a violent arrest.
I think another reason RCQ was added besides his penchant for giving interviews is because he may be ill with prostate cancer. Numerous sources say he has a “diseased prostate,” but aren’t clear on whether it’s cancer or just inflammation.

Apparently, RCQ personally greeted and sarcastically hugged Camarena at the house where he was tortured to death and told him, “I told you I was going to have you in my hands, you son of a bitch.” No wonder they want this guy so badly. Here’s an article detailing his involvement: articles.latimes.com/1992-12-10/local/me-2364_1_ranking-mexican

I’m curious if Rafael Caro Quintero is going to meet the same end as Costabile “Gus” Farace who was killed by the crime family he worked with.
For those wondering why I drew comparisons to Farace and RCQ, it’s because Gus Farace murdered a DEA agent in New York in 1989 and was placed on the FBI Top 10 in March of that year and the manhunt ended only after Farace was killed by the crime family he served months later in November of 1989.
RCQ’s $20,000,000 bounty would mean someone in the Sinaloa cartel would have to take him out in order to decrease the heat and attention.

Anything is possible when dealing with an alleged cartel leader.
Many were surprised when El Chapo was captured alive (both times).

This is huge, and it’s fitting since he’s currently one of the FBI’s 10 Most Wanted and could put his face and if not the other fugitives faces out there and lead to a possible capture, it also boosts the Lists publicity as many may want to check out the list out of curiosity after watching the show.

Just to be clear, Caro-Quintero is being charged with 4 counts of murder (Camarena, Zavala-Avelar, Clay-Walker, and Radelat), and wanted for questioning in the murders of 4 missionaries in Guadalajara in '984, right?

His Top Ten Most Wanted Poster only mentions the murder of Camarena, while his poster on the State Department’s Narcotic Rewards Program mentions the other murders of Clay-Walker, Radelat, &, Zavala-Avelar. However I am also aware of the 4 missionaries, but there’s no mention of them on any poster.

To be honest, I've always been confused by what exactly Caro-Quintero is wanted for as well. It seems technically he's wanted only for drug trafficking. But we all know the FBI doesn't put guys on the Top 10 list wanted for simple drug trafficking and/or financial crimes unless there's more to it, and it seems his alleged involvement in the murder of Special Agent Enrique Caamrena is the real reason they want him. I'm not sure if they can charge him, but drug trafficking charges are probably enough to put him away for life which is essentially justice for anyone whose murder he was allegedly involved with as well.

Not sure about the murders of the missionaries, but one problem with that case is they do not have their remains, so it would be a corpus delicti case.
