I think one issue is streaming started as an alternative to cable but has now become like cable. There's more freedom and autonomy from cable but too many choices ironically can be a bad thing as everything gets diluted. Also, too many companies are trying to do the Netflix model, not all with that much success. Cable was a bunch of channels but all in one place. Now you want to watch one show but need a subscription for that but another show for that and although overall cheaper than cable, it's not really the deal it once was to cut the cord.
Take The Office for exmaple. It was great when it was on Netflix before it moved to Peacock. But now if you want to watch it but still watch Stranger Things, you need to have a subscription of both Peacock and Netflix or alternate between the two.
Then you have South Park which for some reason is on both Max and Paramount Plus, but you need Paramount Plus to watch their movie specials.
Non-cable programming is great in that most services give you ad-free options, you don't have to worry about having to reboot your cable box or extra hidden fees, you don't have to make space on your DVR etc..., but streaming is also somewhat more complicated and harded to navigate as unless you don't care and subscribe to everything, you need to monitor everything you subscribe to.
TL:DR, Streaming gives more options but is an disorganized cluster***. Cable is/was more expensive but an easier user experience.

The FBI finally decided to update their Ten Most Wanted History Pictures section. It was stuck at 506 for a long time, but they updated it to fugitive 519 (Antwan Mims) today. Hopefully, they add the complete list soon

Not sure where was appropriate to post the article, but Rolling Stone did an article about the 50 Worst TV decisions of all-time, which is usually stuff like canceling a show before it could take off, a network passing on a show and then another network picks it up and it becomes a big hit (a bunch of networks declined Breaking Bad for example), getting rid of a character on a show etc... But I feel the article missed the mark by not having Fox canceling AMW in 96 as one of it's worst decisions of all-time. While the 2011 cancellation, while still devastating for us AMW fans, was ultimately understandable, the show cost too much money and was losing the network money and Fox was becoming all sports on Saturdays anyway, the 1996 cancellation was so controversial that letters from politicians, citizens etc.. all forced Fox to reverse course. It also helped that they replaced AMW with a passed it's prime Married... with Children (it was a funny show that I enjoyed when I was a kid, but it was on it's last legs and ran out of funny ideas at that point) and another sitcom that got cancelled so the rating tanked on Saturdays, but they also got so much sh** they would have had to bring back AMW regardless. I agree with most of their choices (especially #2 lol), but Fox canceling AMW (the first cancellation) should have been on the list as well. www.rollingstone.com/tv-movies/tv-movie-lists/worst-tv-network-decisions-1234796350/

A quick off-topic rant. I realize this is a first world problem and luxury problem to have but I wanted to rant anyway- I've been an Android fanboy for my entire life when it comes to phones- but I'm probably going to have to switch to iPhone soon- not because I'm no longer a fan of Android, but because Apple is making it impossible for non-Apple users to communicate with Apple users. Friends will want to Facetime me when it's an Apple product and I can't really do that or want me to Apple pay them if we're at a bar or restaurant and splitting a bill on something and/or cross-platform communication won't work as well in text messages. I have Apple products (ironically typing on one right now), usually people stick to one type while my apartment shows a very confused man with Apple Amazon and Samsung and Google products lol, but basically when it comes to phones, I'd say I enjoy the freedom of Android- ability to move around apps, having a back button, none of the notes app with Apple I like as much when they are crucial for organizing for this site, better notification system imo. Apple is more restrictive as far as their ecosystem goes- however that is the argument for them as their stuff just works- it might not be as "fun" but I will give that Apple is more reliable in that way as strictness does mean sort of easier use- if you stick to only Apple it is very convenient- I just hate the way they sort of force you to have to. But yeah, I hate to give in and let Apple win, since they basically make it impossible to communicate with non-Apple users on purpose to get people like to me to cave and buy their products lol, but unfortunately I may have no choice in the future. I took advantage of black Friday and finally got an iphone today. I know they're getting rid of the bubble issue next year because the EU is forcing them but there just got to be too many difficult forms of communicating with others that sort of forced the issue- and to be honest my latest Galaxy had so many bugs and issues I did actually partially switch because Android was annoying me and I'm not just someone who is way too old to worry about other people submitting to peer pressue lol. There are a lot of things I like much better than Android but the one thing- of course the most important thing- is so far making threads have proven to be difficult- it took me like 5 times to get that Freda Thomas thread up because I kept accidentally clicking out of the browser. If anyone has any tips and pointers- browser to use, how to stay in the app and not accidentally click out of it etc... it would be appreciated lol.

So I realized my forum avatar was still an image from The Hunt which I felt was way outdated. So I updated my forum avatar to support John and Callahan with AMW Season 27.

A couple of random thoughts:
-I honestly don’t feel bad about being single on Valentines Day since I consider it a fake holiday made up by Hallmark anyway. The other reason is I’m single is by choice. I am happy with my independence and while I would partner with the right person- it has to be special and not being in a relationship for relationship’s sake. So someone would really have to sweep me off my feet to change my mind.
-Maybe this belongs in the have you ever seen a fugitive thread but it doesn’t entirely relate. Citizen App now alerts you if there is a sex offender in your neighborhood. I saw someone registered as a sex offender in my neighborhood. I wasn’t too concerned, not because I don’t care but because I know from this forum there are unfortunately no shortage of known and unknown creeps in neighborhoods that you wouldn’t know about. However I was bored and looked at it anyway. The other day I saw the person and it was extremely awkward because I could tell the person knew I recognized them from the app (they gave me a knowing glance it was creepy). It makes me wonder what exactly what would have happened if I had saw an ACTUAL AMW fugitive as opposed to someone who while a slime ball is not wanted. Or for anyone really. One of the most common misconceptions about AMW is thinking you’ll see the fugitive AFTER the airing. Nine times out of ten if someone recognizes a fugitive it is because they already know them. But for that one time out of ten, I don’t know how you hide that you recognize them and it must be a really scary situation to be in.

Your not alone scumhunter I'm 22 and still don't have a partner but I don't feel bad either I also agree with you on the second thing you really you especially In this day and age I also don't really have the self confidence and not to mention I'm very socially awkward and I don't like crowds but the relationships I currently have are nice and when I do find the one I hope you find the one as well you definitely have more of a chance than me

Thanks outlawtaco but once again you don’t need a partner to be happy. I am perfectly fine with my life now which is why I’m choosy since any potential partner would just add to it as opposed to being a necessity.

Finally I forgot what the third thing was I wanted to talk about somehow of course the most important thing and that’s the unfortunate tragedy at the Chiefs Super Bowl parade where at least one person was shot and killed and multiple others injured. You can’t celebrate anything anymore because idiots ruin everything. I’m so sorry to anyone affected.

I don't have any history of romance either, and am not ashamed of it. Between my poor understanding about how romantic relationships usually begin, and a hunch that dating me would feel too much like dating a high schooler, it should've stood to reason. In fact, nobody thought there was anything to do with romance in St Valentine's life story until Geoffrey Chaucer read it in when he wrote Canterbury Tales.

So in addition to waiting for the right one, being single is the least of my concerns compared to other stuff. I’m happy over circumstances I can control but unhappy over circumstances I can’t if that makes sense. I hope this doesn’t read as “hey you losers don’t lump me in with you” as I can understand it must be lonely when you are looking for romance lol.

Just wanted to say that I will do everything possible to avoid flying on a Boeing airplane. I have no flight plans for the foreseeable future, but I can’t see their quality track record getting any better.
