I just wanted to once again remind forum members they are allowed to add cases to the site whenever they wish and you do not need to wait on me or HeadMarshal to do so. I will likely edit the thread to include our website contact form or any other police contact info but you don't need to wait on me otherwise.

Working on my Top 20 of 2022 list now that it's December 1st tomorrow. I think I'm satisfied with the list and right now I'm torn between two cases as my #1- I think no matter which one I pick it's going to be a surprise to everyone and some historic firsts for this relatively recent tradition on our forum. It will be Top 20 as usual, but perhaps I'll do dishonorable mentions as well, depends on how much time I have lol.

But my work-in-progress is still open to any captures that may happen before New Year's Day. I'm thinking of unveiling my list on February 1 to give us all an extra month to salvage some capture reports from December that the media might've waited to announce or that we missed when they first got posted.

You have the luxury of not having publicity deadlines (albeit self-imposed) for the forum lol but I always look forward to your lists as well!

And yeah the list has come out! As I said previously, it was going to be surprise! I think no one was expecting Casian-Garcia and Medina, not because they didn't deserve it, but because they were on my list last year, but I decided that because there were new murder charges this year, it was my excuse to make this terrible excuse for a couple once again eligible. So yeah some historic firsts here- first ever multiple fugitive case of mine to make #1, first ever female fugitive to make #1, and first ever from a previous list to make the list again. The other case I was seriously considering was Jose Portillo Gil aka El Chueco, which I think would have been a surprise since he's not technically wanted out of America (the historic first would be he would have been my first ever #1 wanted outside the U.S.), and goes somewhat goes against my potentially controversial comments that the war on drugs is a failure and that the major top list fugitive decisions meant for the public need to stop pretending it's the 80's and focus more on domestic cases as drug cartel cases usually have high publicity off the lists anyway. However, El Chueco is a guy like El Chapo that transcends any personal feelings of mine and is truly evil and needs to be stopped. It ultimately came down to who was more likely to be captured by being on the front page of the forum and also needed the publicity more, and I think the answer there was obvious. (Not to mention it's confusing as to whether El Chueco is only wanted by Mexico or the U.S. as well, and I have no numbers or emaiils to suggest for tips other than Mexican authorities who I don't currently work with). But yeah it was exhausting but glad I finally got the list out. Casian-Garcia and Medina desperately need more people to know about them and there is no pit in hell deep enough for these two individuals. Please read the entire list though since I put a lot of work into it lol amwfans.com/thread/13090/scumhunters-top-most-wanted-2022

Just a note that proboards has become sorta restrictive when using VPNs. I used to think only shady people used VPNs but they actually come in handy for me when I like look up a fugitives court records hoping they don't think I'm the fugitive lol or when they took the Office off Netflix in the U.S. but not other countries so I'd use it for that. But yeah if you get some thing about the owner of the site not letting you in, it's likely because you're using a VPN and that is unfortunately something I have no control over. But usually I will find a location that will let me continue using the site.

Just received this email (names and station edited out so they won't know the reference)
To the webmaster/admin of America's Most Wanted Fans,
My name is (redcated). I'm the Digital Content Producer for (news station redacted) in (city redacted). We recently received notification that one of your posts is using a copywritten image from our website. The image is located in this post (I purposely won't provide the link and fugitive).
We're asking that you remove the image even though it credits our website. We have not given permission to publish.
If you'd like to request permission to publish the image, please call (number redacted) and ask for (name redacted) or email (name redacted).
Thank you,
(Name redacted)
Anyway I emailed them back that I found another source for the photo but that it's nice to know they care more about who uses their image more than the public recognizing the photo and the fugitive getting caught but in the future I'll contact them which I felt was nice way of passive aggressively telling them to go f themselves while still remaining professional lol
But yeah still pretty unbelievable they had the nerve to complain lol.

Just wanted to mention that going forward I will be mostly avoiding posting new fugitive homicide cases where the fugitive is currently aged 65-years or older. I understand that any alive fugitive wanted for homicide should be considered dangerous. The reality is that people aged 65+ are the least likely to commit violent crime and they are obviously the most likely to die from old age/health complications.
Basically what I’m saying is that with certain exceptions is that elderly homicide fugitives are the least likely type of fugitive to commit another homicide. Young and middle-aged adults are more likely to commit homicide which is why there are so many homicides of young and middle-aged adults. I want to address the fugitives I still have to profile that I feel are the biggest threat to the public.

As you guys may have noticed, I've decided on a major change to the forum, and that is mixing in both exclusive and tv cases in the categories. This is to keep the site as current as possible as unlike when AMW was on every week and there were seven zillion cases to profile, fugitive and true crime shows in general aren't pumping out as many cases as they used to so there isn't as much of a need to separate them as more. So when people get finished reading the 2020-Present fugitives on TV section, the next category they go instead of older cases from a decade ago, will be also recent fugitive cases. I've always stressed this is a discussion and somewhat sleuthing site (I never meant for it to be a sleuthing site for the record just sort of accidentally became that way), however in theory, there is now a better chance of a direct capture from our site if a fugitive wanted from only two months ago is closer to the top of our page than an AMW fugitive from 1980. Hopefully you all can stll view the forum and these changes aren't too confusing.

I can't believe I didn't realize it before but this forum started on December 12th, 2022. So we've actually been around for 10 years already! I wish I would have realized this sooner to celebrate lol.

I also remember that amw.com's Prospero forums went offline on 12-12-012. I didn't know they were the same day.

My bad it was December 15th 2012 when amwfans.com came into existence, primarily because of prospero ending three days earlier lol

Just a note as (sans the short lived 2021 reboot), AMW gets older and older and the status of In Pursuit in limbo (granted it's just me assuming they're in limbo and there's nothing official), I will be revamping this forum further to stay current, and reflect it more as a true crime forum focused on fugitive cases in national media, since there really aren't weekly shows at the moment to frequently discuss that show a lot of fugitive cases ( even In Pursuit is only 12 weeks a year). Plus because of the way we consume media now, "on tv" doesn't make as much sense- as there's now podcasts etc... I've decided to finally reflect that.
So I will need you guys help since although I'm a millennial, I'm an older millennial so national podcasts or youtube channels I may not be familiar with since I'm still the old school guy that watches cable channels lol, and now because of the way I plan of focusing this forum, while of course fugitives on tv shows or national news will still be here as well, anything that's nationally consumed media will move to where the fugitives on tv section would be. But it has to be something like for example "Criminally Listed" on YouTube, not some random guy's YouTube channel, or "True Crime Diva" podcast, not just a podcast with 5 followers that you and your friends do.
I hope that makes sense. The forum may look a little jumbled in the meantime as I don't think I can do this all today, but I'll do my best to little by little make it less confusing.

Ok this is going quicker than expected and I just have the hushmail forum and site layout map really to edit left. However, if anyone notices anything incorrect as far as grammar, wording etc... please let me know since I have been doing this pretty quickly lol.
Any other advice on the transition is welcome too (besides go back to how it was- sorry I feel it is time to reflect that we're now in 2023 and AMW- the original discussion reason for this forum- sans the short-lived Fox reboot has been off the air for over a decade now)
