Recently joined a forum for a different interest of mine. Although some people replied to a few of my comments or threads, I was not welcome to the forum by the moderator/administrator and/or said welcome aboard by anyone else. Felt rather ignored and made me appreciate the friendliness of welcoming nature of our forum.

I guess it shouldn't be too shocking since there are always a lot of breaking news crimes to start the year (and this is a new decade as well), I've only been able to do one planned case this week because of so many breaking news cases. While it admittedly does give the site more content, I wish the world was a less violent place and the breaking news aspect would die down. I think it's naive to expect world peace, but I do think we could at least reduce violence significantly if we stopped fighting amongst each other and came together, but I'm not exactly holding my breath.

If there's any positive to this, it's that the local and national media are getting these breaking news cases out there early. That's better then us discovering the still unresolved manhunts a year or more down the road. Still, less violence and more respect for one and other would be really nice.

I just wanted to say sometimes on our forum we may wonder why some cases get more attention than others- or why some cases seem to be underrated and not placed on wanted lists or aired on AMW etc... as much.
I want to stress that while part of me gets it, friends and family of the victims in these cases read our site and it is not their fault their case where "only" one person died gets more attention than a triple homicide fugitive.
I ask that in 2020 we please be mindful and respectful and consider that and how we would feel if it was our loved one that is the "only" one victim case.
One thing I've learned through sources is there are plenty of cases In Pursuit wants to air but can't for various reasons- the police department doesn't want to work with them, the police think they're closing in on them already and don't need the extra publicity etc... It is sometimes the cases that make the air are simply the ones that clear many hurdles. The triple murder suspect simply may have been something as simple as a police department declining to participate as opposed to focusing on one case over another. Or some cases may be really bad but public tips won't likely solve the case as there's one grainy photo and the suspect is probably in some foreign country.
I assume the same can go for most wanted lists as well, even federally.
If anyone is frustrated by the attention aspect of certain cases, you're more than welcome to private message me to vent your frustrations, but I ask that you please don't publicly rant about it and potentially upset family members or in some cases where the victim survived- victims themselves who may be reading our site.

I've discussed this with HeadMarshal already, but for the record we are in a new decade, but for the time being the most recent sections of cases on our forum will remain 2010-present until there's enough cases to justify making new decade sections. I feel there's not enough cases on our site to make 2020-Present sections just yet. Whenever there's enough cases, whether that be in the middle or end of the year or next year, we'll make 2020-present sections. (Assuming the planet's still here- I'd say j/k but rather half-kidding).

Not sure whether more appropriate to comment here or in off-topic but per the ad banners on this site, which I have no control over, I've been getting ads for In Pursuit's debut this Wednesday! Pretty cool!

Just a reminder to everyone that I changed the rules around last September you still need a valid website address for me to see your e-mails to our site. Those who don't use a real e-mail address technically still have their message sent to my inbox but it is sent to the spam folder where it is automatically deleted and not read.
This was done to cut back on the spammers/trolls and so the ones I do receive I know are quality and credible. While I understand the importance of anonymity and wanting to remain anonymous, our form is supposed to be only for news updates and you should only e-mail us about tips if you're asking for advice like who should I sent my tip to etc.... so the form should not be used for that anyway. At least now, I know if someone contacts me with an e-mail, it is because they have something legitimate to tell me or ask about. Sometimes it's better to have quality over quantity.
The only reason I'm bringing this up again is I missed an important message from someone (thankfully not regarding a tip), and it is because they didn't use an e-mail so I automatically deleted it as per policy for any messages sent without valid e-mails. Thankfully, they did it the right way the second time, but I still felt somewhat guilty that it looked like I was ignoring them.
I think overall I'm satisfied with this new policy. I haven't had to read an e-mail that was a waste of time since like September, but there is the rare negative that sometimes it looks like I'm ignoring people when really they didn't read what I said on the contact form.
So please, use your e-mail or if you have a secondary e-mail address that isn't your main one if you feel uncomfortable using that, use a secondary e-mail to e-mail us.

If the finalized tip form for In Pursuit's second season looks familiar to you, it is not by coincidence. I am proud to say all of you guys have had a major influence on case selection, as I was able to share cases I found personal but also that I felt affected us the most with powers that be, they also do read our case suggestion threads in the general section and they definitely take our cases into account. There are some cases they unfortunately are not able to air for various reasons despite me/us requesting them (for example, they couldn't air Tony Wu because the Philly P.D. refused to cooperate), but I'm proud of you guys!

I mentioned it in the thread itself but Andre Riquelme who I profiled last month will be my last ever Canadian fugitive of the month. I will be discontinuing my Canadian fugitive of the month postings on this forum because A) RCMP website is acting up and it was kind of a pain to begin with, wouldn't let me archive photos etc... and B) it seems the more current cases are now featured on local areas in Canada's Crime Stoppers sites instead. As a result, I'd rather just look up cases on there and post whenever I want if any of them interest me. Additionally, not to put more pressure on him, but HeadMarshal does a good enough job profiling Canadian fugitive cases anyway.

Seeing as they might not have that site up for longer, during this month I'm going to try to get as many of the LAPD most wanted website fugitives on the site as I can. I realize it's taking a risk since unless I want to spend money for each case to look up online there's no way of 100 percent confirming but I'm just getting this like psychic premonition (despite not believing in psychics lol) they're eventually going to either put new names or get rid of that site entirely. I'll see what I can do, we have a bunch of names on the site already and STILL there's like at least 80 names on there not on here lol. I hope by the end of the month I'll be done with it, but the good news is this inches us closer to our 10,000th thread milestone (another reason why I'm purposely adding more cases than usual lately- I want to get to that 10,000 milestone already lol) (I might have some LAPD Most Wanted cases left over even after 10,000 but after I'm done with that I'll go back to posting only 1 or 2 fugitives a day for the most part).

There are a few Los Angeles fugitives I may pay to determine if they still have active warrants. These would be cases such as Carmen Cabrera and Toru Sakai.

Just a note that later today and/or later in the week I may temporarily put the forum in maintenance mode to put 2020-present sections in place. I had previously thought it didn't make sense since there are not enough cases yet- and there are currently categories where there will be no cases at all- but for the sake of making things easier for when those spaces finally get filled I figure perhaps do it now anyway and leave threads explaining why some sections are empty or not many. Just a warning in advance since every time I go on maintenance mode on my own it always backfires on me lol (like I'll be like ok 4 am on Thursday morning, I can do this now- and suddenly five of you want to log in- no offense as some of you are insomniacs but so am I lol). So at least I gave proper warning this time. But yeah I haven't even made up my mind yet but just in case I put the forum in maintenance that's the reason (or if you see it in maintenance mode anytime this year if I don't do this week that's probably the reason).

Finito, and yes sorry as I saw some of you tried to log on but I gave warning this time I didn't want to do the decade thing since there weren't enough cases, but then I figured duh!, I can do the sections anyway and just leave stickies explaining. The one section full enough that I felt didn't need a sticky explaining a lack of cases is the exclusive-fugitives section, which is halfway to page two already! I'm sorry for the reason, but glad we're keeping the spotlight on those cases. Thanks again everyone for your patience as we're off maintenance mode now!

Amazingly, I finished this project before the end of the month! I simply breathed a sigh of relief instead of celebrating lol. I will admit I did not post EVERY fugitive on the site for a variety of reasons (or I skipped over the bs cases, I don't really care that someone once deposited a counterfeit 100 dollar check at Bank of America or whatever when there's child killers at large) but I profiled every case I felt comfortable with, regardless of whether I could confirm if they were still at large or not, since I acknowledged I was only reasonably assuming and anyone can contact us if they have information otherwise.
