To the person that has e-mailed the forum pretending to be Dr. Polo from Fugitive Injusticias, "El Bambino" from the Bronx, "Barracuda"... I know who you are and you may need to see the Doctor for multiple personality disorder!
I recently purchased additional inbox space so I do not mind the e-mails. The only reason I politely requested to stop e-mailing in the past was it was taking up inbox space and potentially preventing people with LEGITIMATE concerns such as where to send tips on a fugitive or requesting we help profile a loved one of theirs that's missing. If the inbox gets full, those messages don't go through. I usually delete these messages, but the ones I accidentally read since they initially seem to come from other people before I notice the exact same type of writing as you in the subject line, I get a laugh out of reading them!
Please continue to e-mail the site, you do not bother me and you are gaining nothing by doing so. I'll keep not even reading your messages or will just laugh and delete any I accidentally do read! Thanks!

Just a note that we've had people registering the forum using lagify.com.
Lagify.com is a "disposable" email address that allows you to mask your regular email and/or use that domain as a temporary email.
In other words it is great for anyone who wants to spam and/or do shady sh**.
So just a warning that using that email is not only a rejection from registering but also an automatic ban from the forum. Even if you didn't have malicious intent, you should know better than to use a shady email address.

Getting really frustrated with how NO ONE ever answers the registration question for our forum. If I was less strict on this, our forum would be more active (not that we don't already have an active forum, but even more active), but a lot more trolls and spam too.
For every 10 people, I'd say only 3 out of the 10 answer it, perhaps even that's being generous, but more people DON'T answer than do.
When you guys answered was it hard to see the question? I'm trying to figure this out.
I do approve people anyway if I Google their screen name and see them on other forums or stuff like that but I shouldn't have to do extra work when all you have to do is answer a simple frigging question lol.

Didn't even realize, we reached a thousand members the other day! Once again I'm going to be honest- sometimes people register and lose their password and get another account or stuff like that so the number may be a little inflated but still overall 1,000 members (and probably many more if people knew how to answer a simple registration question!). So this is a true milestone! Thanks to all 1,000 of you or 900 and whatever of you!

Question: Are any of you guys bookmarking threads? A bunch of threads are oddly being bookmarked lately for seemingly no reason. It could be somehow accidentally doing it but just in case I ask that we please not bookmark threads without my permission since it messes with the forum algorithm.  |

I've mentioned this in the upcoming thread but I'm trying to encourage us to discuss In Pursuit more and the cases on there more. We're technically a fan page for the show and only me and HeadMarshal are talking about it lol. If you don't have cable or immediate access I understand, but let's do our best to watch ALL the episodes, not just only one episode here and there because that one has a guy on the top ten list or whatever and ignore another episode because it's two cases not on any list that are previously unknown to you. You might find the case surprisingly interesting and that (and catching the suspect of course) is what the show is about. After April 3rd (the season finale) whatever, but while the show is still in season it should be our main focus lol. |

Just a note that while obviously not everyone does this but sometimes I'll see someone post a topic/thread and ask Scumhunter for his thoughts and/or private message me about a case and ask what I think about it. While I know it is well-meaning, and it does feel good to see my opinions are valued, I feel it unintentionally insults the other posters on this site- as by asking for only my thoughts you're implying only my opinion matters. While I created the site and think I'm relatively decent at sleuthing discussing or whatever you want to call it, the whole point of a discussion forum is to have discussion. I am comfortable enough to admit someone may know a particular case better than me or may think of an angle I hadn't thought of in another case even if I have a vast knowledge of it. There are a lot of smart and dedicated posters on this site that provide valuable insight. So please ask for everyone's thoughts if you're curious about a case. |

My apologies to those who had trouble logging in today as our forum server (proboards) had some difficulties. This is a circumstance beyond my control- proboards is the host server- which means when they go down pretty much ALL message boards that use them go down. With that being said these things happen, and ProBoards is very good at fixing their problems and getting things back running quickly. Just for future reference if you see the message about am angry bear or the site doesn't load it is likely a problem with ProBoards. |

Hi all,
Just a note that I will be on a road trip from June 1st to 11th (or possibly but not more than two days longer than the 11th). HeadMarshal will be in charge of the forum until then.
It's possible I may check in from time to time since I'll still be in America but I expect to be busy so please understand I likely won't reply to anyone's posts, replies etc... until after I get back.
I hope to still see some bad guys caught while I'm away!
