I'm not sure if stickying is necessary but an off-topic list of most wanted page sites that we bump up/update from time to time sounds fine if anyone wants to so that. A trivia thread may be fun initially but tbh I'm not sure if I'd always reply as my priorities would be our actual crime cases on our forum. I remember when we had all these fugitive face-off contests when this forum first started and it was great initially since it helped participation when we didn't have as many posters but eventually it started to feel like a chore. (This is not meant to offend any posters who made such contests back in the day, they were needed and fun back then, just there can be too much of a good thing!) That is actually the flaw I’ve thought of, it’s actually getting members to participate in the game trivia.

Just a note that since it has been increasingly difficult to find cases, I am changing the Innocence Project Cases section from one case a month to one case every two or three months.
Unlike other types of crime cases, sadly there is no state-by-state database for Innocence Project cases. And some of the ones I can find have already been extensively covered on tv and/or podcasts (and I know this sounds terrible of me but I don't have the time to listen to extensive podcasts to make an adequate posting).
This isn't because I don't care as much, but because I don't want the section to become inundated with cases where it was the only one I could find as opposed to one I properly researched and/or found more interesting with more advance time.

Actually I may be able to find something for February but it's becoming more difficult to find cases lately.

Kind of random and although I explain this in a few sections, some people have complained that the site registration process is too strict or the "strictest one I've seen."
First, I was rejected from Websleuths initially lol. It had nothing to do with this site, just basically I had to use a reference to even be accepted.
IMO, not a criticism of them, but Websleuths is even tougher to become a member of.
Secondly, all anyone has to do is answer the question!
Usually the ones who get rejected is not personal but because they didn't answer the question and had a gmail or yahoo address which anyone can get.
If you have a blank email but your address is a professional address like joe27@cbsnews.com I'll let it slide but that's about it.
I can also Google screen names and if I see "Joe9357" also posted on Websleuths then I can get it slide as well.
However if you have a generic email and there is no record of you posting on other crime or types of forums I can't accept you.
It's not that hard to get on this site, all you have to do is answer the question lol.
P.S. I understand the question is easy to miss at times, but better safe than spammed lol.

Considering there will now be a THIRD John Walsh hosted show soon, I decided to once again change the main heading of our page to "an unofficial fan page for John-Walsh-hosted Fugitive TV shows LOL.

Hey guys, because there are so many cases on this forum it is a virtual improbability that I will not make a mistake or type-o from time to time, some more embarrassing than others.
I've discussed this in private with some of you but I'd rather you not "call me out" in public if you notice an error and private message me instead.
It's not about my sensibilities but might make the site look bad to the outside observer who might not have noticed the error had it not been PUBLICLY pointed it out rather than me being told discreetly so I can fix it right away with no one noticing.
I'm only human so mistakes will happen, I do my best to try to limit those mistakes lol.
Thanks!

Also I apologize that the fugitives section is a bit disorganized right now, I'm working on the sitewide confirming cases project and once I'm done I'll try to reshuffle the site a bit (probably to breakdown by years for example the recent exclusive fugitives will be 2018 followed by 2017 etc...) which is another distracting project but needed to alleviate the disorganization and hopefully not as distracting lol.

Thank you for the person who private messaged me to let me know I accidentally said I don't see why I would want to see Yaser Said burned in a pit of fire instead of wouldn't. (ok just kidding ) But phew! Ok now all the fugitives section are in some sort of reverse chronological order. 2010-present fugitives are 2018 followed by 2017 etc... This order will inevitably get messed up with new threads, bump ups (I'm admittedly going to mess this up myself since I still haven't finished confirming all the fugitives on our site and usually bump those threads up when I do which is another side project) etc.. but that's no worry for me since at least now there's some sense of semblance and at least in general the more recent cases of each decade will be closer to the beginning. (Not to mention although we're not like AMW, we don't "officially" take tips, our site could still help lead someone to call the appropriate venue if they see someone. Making it so the more recent fugitives are more towards the beginning of each section increases those odds). Hopefully it will be a while before I have to do that again, every time I do a new site project I forget how many new threads get added to our site and how much longer it takes than the last time!

Good idea with the chronological order. I agree it's much more likely someone would be contacting Law Enforcement with a tip on a 2018/2017 fugitive rather than a 2011/2010 fugitive, etc. Makes things a little bit easier on the visual side when going through pages of subforums.

Since I don't want to mess with chronological order too much, fugitive of the week will be discontinued for the time being. I still will bring it back under special circumstances- case request, significant leads on a case, breaking news cases that deserve attention etc...
Of course we will wait to see what the In Pursuit format will look like next year as well in regards to fugitive of the week (if it is 1-2 cases like The Hunt, I can make them fugitive or fugitives of the week).

WHEW! Perhaps missed a few but for the most part have now either confirmed and/or put in a date for reason of assuming wanted status for every fugitive case on our forum!
Not that I don't care about unsolved and missing cases as well but since our primary focus is fugitives and this was so time-consuming I'd rather just leave it there lol.
Now its just a matter of updates and keeping track.

Just a note everyone that I will be posting a ton of cases (if all goes to plan) the next two months only to make up for me usually taking Decembers off from posting new content aside from breaking news or FBI website case additions. I in no means expect all of you to keep up so don't worry. Just simply the more cases on our site, the more potential for discussions and keeping it active. (And of course, hopefully getting answers for loved ones of the victims or missing as well).

Phew! With the exception of ones without photos of parents and/or not listed on the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children's missingkids.org website (since I like to have an official verification), I have now added all missing children with known family abductor cases (as of November 4th, 2018) that were listed on The Charley Project!

Just a reminder that the month is almost over and the insanity with the increased case additions will end soon. (With In Pursuit, 2019 will likely be more focused on that as opposed to new content).

Just a note so that all of us know- I know I've private messaged some of you in the past and I'm not singling anyone out- but let's face it- 95 percent of the fugitives we discuss on our website if not more are guilty as f***. However, by legal definition- they are still technically innocent until proven guilty. So I would please caution against using language automatically assuming guilt only so it doesn't cause problems for our site. For instance, "so this guy shot him because he looked at him- that's stupid" should instead read "so this guy allegedly shot him because he looked at him- that's stupid." This isn't the strictest rule- it's just advice I politely request everyone follows- and obviously leeway would be given to victims or relatives of the victims in the cases. (I hate to say it but legally speaking alleged victim if the person posting is actually the person said to be harmed). Technically speaking, you're just stating your opinion. It's just I want to reduce any potential problems for the site so I'm politely requesting (as opposed to a strict edict) that we try to be as careful as possible when discussing cases. In any case, happy 4th of July everyone! Wanted to bump this up and say I politely request the same for verbiage of fugitives as well. I don't mind if you call someone a scumbag but please say "alleged" scumbag lol.
