I think our posting activity is fine for what this site is. Sometimes there's lull but overall I'm satisfied. Dead for a week sometimes, very active for a week sometimes, just like many message boards. I think that is part of the reason we may not be as active compared to say the Unsolved Mysteries board for example in comparison. They still have reruns on Lifetime everyday and their fans did admittedly a much better job than AMW's fans at preserving their cases. But yeah if The Hunt was on more often, like AMW, we'd be even more active.

Don't know why but for whatever reasons yesterday we set the record for most people viewing our site at once! The previous record was January of 2014 I think so that is significant!

Decided to separate non-fugitive general discussions into their own categories for the FBI and US Marshals sections. I found it was kind of distracting and now this allows the top listers to have the attention in the section all to themselves rather than another topic bumping them out of the spotlight. Feel free to discuss fugitives and add threads in the other sections though. The US Marshals list for example could use some new general discussion threads!

Since I feel we finally have enough cases, I will be making new sections for unsolved and missing and dividing them into decades like we do for fugitives. Please bear with me as this will be a work in progress and the site will look a little weird for the time being.

Project completed. I felt there weren't enough threads to justify making any sections for any decade before 2000 for unsolved and missing so I just lumped them into before 2000. (All of this, including fugitive sections is always subject to change if for any reason there starts to be a ton of threads in a particular decade or section and I might need to cut down more). In any case, at least now a 1990's case won't be distracting from a more recent case and vice versa.

I've decided to add recent missing children's cases to our site even if they have no information really about them since I feel it's still important to get exposure to help find them. Just wanted to say no one should feel the need to comment, since if I feel there's not enough for discussion I won't ask for thoughts and will probably include (there was little information I could find about this case) at the end of the posting to indicate I'm not seeking comments, but I'd still like them to have threads.

Was all excited because I saw John Walsh liked our "The Hunt with John Walsh Fans" Facebook page- only to realize it was some random guy from New Jersey who happened to be named John Walsh LOL. I don't know if he did it as a joke or he's a fan who happens to have the same name but either way he liked the page and helped support and that's all that matters. In fairness, John Walsh did like one of our Tweets once so we still have that.

Well I was looking back on some old sleuthing journals to cross John Hartin from my Worst-of-the-Worst task force section which was inspired by a site called the child abuse unit of Long Island, New York, which is from 2006 since faces like Edward Harper were not yet captured. childabuseunit.com/p_wanted.cfmSo here's how the Worst-of-the-Worst Task Force would work if we try it here on the site as a fugitive section. Description on its operation. Basically we would take fugitives either on the site exclusive or AMW/The Hunt sections and place them on that section because of their violent or awful & disgusting crime. The members of the site will get a chance to put up candidates for this section and then are reviewed by the admin who makes a final determination if those fugitives will be added to the WOTW section. (Also It's up to the admin if only a limited number of fugitives should be added to that section) Criteria for the Task Force: •Fugitive has to have committed a brutal murder (admin has to determine if the brutality based on how graphic it's description is or if the number of murdered victims, is enough to place them on the WOTW Task force section) Examples: Carl Eder •Any CAC fugitive would be a given candidate. Examples: Elby Hars, Bruce Sawhill, Leprinceton Burks, Domingo Maye. •Parental Kidnappings are a debate but if they are open for consideration then those cases that are breaking news, have an additional charge, or involve at least 2 children are potential candidates. •Fugitives accused of murdering a victim(s) younger than 18 years old. Examples: Jennifer Puente •Any fugitives not currently on the Most wanted lists, wanted by the federal agencies either the FBI or US Marshals are also perfect candidates (Most wanted list fugitives don't count and if any of the WOTW fugitives is ever added to the US MS 15 and FBI 10 they automatically get replaced by a non MW list fugitive) Any thoughts??? This isn't the most perfect idea but it can give us our own personal most wanted list/ Task Force of fugitives we think are the Worst of the Worst. Also if this idea gains traction we can do the same for missing persons and unidentified killer victims.

It's not a bad idea but on the forum exclusive section we have our own site dirty dozen list which is sort of the same thing. (I admit lately me and Head Marshal have been picking on our own lately (its less confusing this way) but I'll still take suggestions into consideration).

Unfortunately this plan backfired on me. My plan was to do all cases from 2015 first and then next year do 2016 (in other words do recent but not too recent to give children the time to be located.) Unfortunately if I completed that we would have had 25 pages in the 2010-present section with a bunch of cases we can't discuss since there's no information to do so crowding the cases that can be discussed. I had no choice but to delete all the no information cases, wasting a week of my time. But the time wasted isn't as bad as my guilt at having to delete those cases. (They didn't get much views anyway but still) Every missing child case now in that section has an article attached to it and so I didn't delete those recent cases with articles. The rare exceptions without articles that weren't deleted were the parental abduction cases since those are *typically* easier to solve. I feel this small sample of 7-8 pages of threads with information are better for our forum that 25 pages of threads where most of the first 18 pages of threads have no information attached to them.

I can't believe it was that easy but for the longest time I just assumed threads would be difficult to make from my smartphone as opposed to a laptop. However, the Firefox browser is incredibly easy to use and I highly recommend it. For example, even though the Charley Project has no problem with you copying and pasting their information as long as you credit them, usually you have to view the source code and go from there. Apparently all I had to do was download "view source code" as an add-on and I can now do Charley Project cases from my phone as well. I also find stuff like copying and pasting photos much easier than say the Chrome browser. I'm not getting paid to say this but if you ever are away and don't have a computer, I would recommend the Firefox app if you want to give it a try on your phone.

Thanks for the recommendation Scumhunter.
Now yesterday I found this Jane Doe case that's very mysterious.
I'm not going to reveal too much as I want to make it a surprise, but I didn't know where to post, either as a missing person or unknown killer section or if it even qualifies as a thread on here.
Basically this person used the identity of a 1970s house fire victim in Washington state to get through life. The subject would then apply for an Idaho state ID card in 1989 only for the house fire victims parents to find that they did not know the person when presented with the photo on the ID.
A month later, the subject ends up in Texas changing their name and applying for a state drivers license. While in Texas the subject attended a community college and University.
Now the subject ends up taking their life in 2010 and it all begins to unravel after that. Both identities turn out to be false and lived a life of lies. The subject is officially known as Jane Doe (yes it's a woman), however attempting to uncover her past has been difficult if she was probably a fugitive on the run, a missing person or someone who was just disturbed or had a rough history.
Any thoughts?

I would put this in the exclusive unsolved section for now and if I determine there's a more appropriate section I can always move it.
Sounds intriguing though!
