Just a heads up, probably going to take this site off-line for maintenance later on tonight. If I don't get a chance tonight, then sometime else this week. (Meaning only me and HeadMarshal would be able to see the site if it's in maintenance mode).

We now have 2,000 total threads on our forum! (Technically we've made 2,130, but of the non-deleted ones, 2,000 )

Going to finally add an "Innocence Project Cases" section to our site today- this is a work-in-progress so I would ask we wait until it's finished to look at it. (I will make two posts- one explaining what it is and the rules for submitting a case request and also for posting (right now, only staff can post and I will explain why)- and the other post will be our first case for the section.) I will likely do just one case a month.

I've decided with all due respect to everyone else, I'm no longer going to share when I have potential info that may lead to a capture. (I of course am intentionally vague and don't say who or what we have but I sometimes will mention when we have a promising lead while not naming the fugitive). We've had so many close calls or hopeful leads this year only to end in disappointment thus far. (One guy I know where he is or what country he's in rather, and my tipster has informed authorities, yet nothing seems to be being done about it. I don't know if it's a matter of knowing his exact address or getting a provisional arrest warrant or what but it's mind-boggling.) So even if you're a long-time member, not to get my hopes up, I'm going to keep inside info to myself from now on. That way a direct capture from this site can pleasantly surprise everyone. Hope everyone understands.

Ok, I'll ask here. Machete is sending me fugitives- in both the tv and exclusive sections in alphabetical order to make a " thread listing" for people who want to look up a fugitive by last name. The sections themselves would not be alphabetical. There would just be a thread before the sections with a listing and a link next to each name in alphabetical order.
While I understand the benefits- people could look up in alphabetical order- it is time consuming and would require remembering to update the thread every time I post a new fugitive- which is even more time added to an already busy life. (Plus, if I do that, I'd also feel an obligation perhaps for unsolved or missing children which would take even more time.)
We also have a search option already. So if someone say, wants to see if Chris Ponce in our site, all they have to do is search "Chris Ponce" in the search feature and they don't need to go the letter P on a thread.
Thoughts? I figure this is one of those take a vote things to see if other members think this is worth it or if just the search function should satisfy people and it's unnecessary.

I understand the amw.com-like idea would be helpful, if we had an updateable database website like amw.com. Especially with all the breaking news fugitives that get added to the site, I don't personally think it's worth the effort for an online message board. But maybe in the next several years if we somehow have an amw.com like site, then I would be all for it then.

The way I look at it, most people find this site because they looked up a particular fugitive anyway. It is a good idea though. (What is it with you Machete? I'm always like no and then after a few minutes when I think about it I'm like that's actually not a bad idea lol). But I feel it may take too much time.

Machete, we've decided an alphabetical listing would not be feasible at this time. Would take too much work, and we have a search feature for people to look up fugitives anyway.
I'll revisit it next year but for now no offense but please don't e-mail me about it as I've already made my decision. It's not feasible for 2015.
But yeah I deleted the master list thread since it's no longer needed but thank you once again for your hard work!

Can't believe I'm making more work for myself but realized there are still some Unsolved Mysteries cases we haven't added to the site yet. The ones in the wanted section of the official site are all still at large while the wiki lists both captured and some other fugitives we didn't add. (If I can't find a photo, I'm not going to add them though). So maybe after I complete this task, I will finally do the final site shuffle and leave everything alone from there on out. I can't believe I just made non-Machete related work for myself. (I'm only kidding Machete ) unsolved.com/archives/wantedunsolvedmysteries.wikia.com/wiki/Most_Wanted

ok, now most KNOWN Unsolved Mysteries fugitives are now on our website! Only ones I didn't add were ones without photos or ones with only a sketch and an alias. (I made an exception for DB Cooper because of how well known the case is, using the JC Giles on AMW excuse, but in general I still consider those unsolved cases and not fugitive cases.) But yeah finally done with confirmed still at large fugitives from both AMW and UM now.

Little by little, I'm doing a final "site shuffle" where we put the most popular threads at the top- and once I've completed it, I'll at least for the foreseeable future leave it alone and it will be a matter of updates. Now that we did Machete's master list, and we did the Unsolved Mysteries master list, there's no need to be bumping stuff around anymore. Figure I'll do all the sections and just not fugitives one last time since things got jumbled around everywhere. Completed the 2010-Present and 2000-2009 tv fugitives section and will do the others within the week. I realize seeing all the threads moved around in the recent feed is annoying which is why this is the last week I'm going to do this. So please bear with one week of annoyance.

OK task finally completed. I promise from now on (or at least for the foreseeable future as I always feel making definitive promises is risky lol), no more moving stuff around and posts will only get bumped up if there's updates. So everything thread will either be new or updated/replied to from here on out.

Machete, not sure if you read this part of the forum, but if you're still out there, someone wants to know when Lester Eubanks was aired on AMW if you have the info. Didn't know where else to post this since I don't have your e-mail and only communicate via the form. Thanks!
P.S. I'll still consider making an alphabetical order thread next year. It's just not possible this year as I expect to be busy with holiday stuff.

Going back and forth on this but since we no longer have a most wanted list it does give me excuse to add more fugitives a week, without worrying about overflowing a list, so for now I'm going to add three planned recent fugitives a week instead of two, especially with AMW off the air. I realize this runs the risk of perhaps there being too many fugitives for people to skim through and potentially recognize, but The Hunt's breaks are way too long. The show should have been back by now as far as I'm concerned. If a breaking news or other type of new fugitive (Crime Watch Daily, Justice Network etc.) makes it more than three in a week, or someone else posts another fugitive besides my three and it brings the total up to more than three, then I won't post any more cases for that week.
AMW was a court of last resort and there are too many people that need help to limit the cases.
