It's understandable but I've also seen cases solved specifically because more info finally got released publicly. Heck if John Walsh hadn't went on CNN against law enforcement wishes with the Brian Mitchell lead Elizabeth Smart may have never been saved.
My thing is they've had four years and I feel it's time to try something different. But I understand if there's something we don't know about that that needs to be kept secret- if they ever do interview the right guy and he confesses- if he says something only the killer would know- they'll know its him and not a false confession.

I understand the frustration. I think the Indiana police are just about throwing everything they can at this case. I remember the chief investigator in this case acknowledging they were taking a different investigative approach, and it seems like the second release of the voice of the suspect and his gait verified that.

Also the guy sort looks like the original sketch, but there's been like 5 zillion suspects who sort of looked either one or both sketches, this is a very interesting development nonetheless:

I don't see this officially stated in any articles but some commenters are putting together a plausible theory/speculating that perhaps it was uncovered either Abby or Libby communicated with this anthony_shots guy and they were actually lured to the bridge that day- it wasn't a random encounter. If this is true it doesn't make Abby or Libby any less innocent- they would be typical teenage girls who got tricked- but it does seem ISP may have been sitting on this lead for a while and are finally going public with it. Once again, instead of complaining what took them so long, I actually just appreciate that they did.

OK this is confusing and sorry for posting so much, but apparently it was ALREADY known Kline was Anthony Shots based on court documents from Wish-TV. So in summary, a timeline of events: 1. Last night, Indiana State Police (ISP) release photos of Anthony Shots online profile, asking for information identifying him and stressing the photos are of a real male model but the profile was fake. The real model has nothing to do with Abby and Libby's case. 2. We found out today the man is Kline and they already knew he was Anthony Shots. He looks like the original Bridge Guy sketch, while the model he used looks like the latter Bridge Guy sketch (possible on purpose red herring?) 3. Court documents from 2020 do not mention anything about Abby and Libby's case. Although it should be stressed since some people seem to be getting confused and saying they found he's not connected. All the news reports are saying was that there was no mention of Kline AKA Anthony Shots being connected back in 2020. There obviously has to be a reason they're so interested in the general public knowing about his profile in 2021. (I usually yell at internet sleuths for being too optimstic where they get tunnel vision- it's nice to actually yell at people for being too pessimistic for a change). These developments are quite crazy. www.wishtv.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Kegan-Anthony-Kline-PC.pdf

I’m almost wondering if the cops are playing mind games with the killer. He didn’t outright say they had a major person of interest, just that they knew a lot more about the killer. I would just imagine this case has been a nightmare to work on because of the amount of tips likely received and the number of suspects they likely have cleared at this point.

Yeah I just hope they're on to something and they're not taunting a ghost, since I don't think hoping to manufacture a surrender by pretending to be close would work.
I do think there has been a lot of recent progress and I am more encouraged than I have been before.

Interviewer: "Do you have a person or persons of interest? Or do you have a suspect?
Superintendent Doug Carter: "I'm confident that this will come to a conclusion eventually."
Interviewer: "In the past, you have said we have likely interviewed the killer. Do you still think that?"
Superintendent Doug Carter: "I think that we're not going to singularly identify anyone right now, at least publicly. The detectives that have been assigned to this task force have talked to hundreds if not thousands of people. And again, one day we'll be able to tell you why we did that and who did it."
These answers are somewhat ambiguous. I'm guessing they have narrowed the suspect field, but don't have a primary suspect as of yet.

This case haunted me since it's first aired on the news and In Pursuit with John Walsh, I hoped they solved this case and get justice for the families of two teenage girls who were killed and murdered by this creep or creeps if authorities caught them.

So it's now been revealed that the man who owned the property where Abby and Libby were murdered (the man recently passed away at age 60), was initially looked at a suspect and his voice couldn't be ruled out. Apparently the podcast that revealed this wasn't supposed to or something, so I'm not sure how much of this is appropriate to discuss but since it's out here I figured I'd post the link: heavy.com/news/ronald-ron-logan-delphi-murders/What this does say is it gives encouragement that there have been potential suspects on their radar and they haven't been completely grasping at straws.
