Larger images can be found at fbi.gov page for this case) From the FBI.gov website: Details: On February 13, 2017, Abigail Williams, age 13, and Liberty German, age 14, were hiking on the Delphi Historic Trail near the Monon High Bridge just east of Delphi in Carroll County, Indiana. Abigail and Liberty were reported missing to police after their parents were unable to locate them at the pick-up location. Volunteers subsequently discovered the girls’ bodies in the woods east of Delphi in Carroll County, Indiana, on February 14, 2017. Investigators have distributed a photo (shown above) of a person observed on the Delphi Historic Trail. The photo appears to depict a White male wearing blue jeans, a blue coat/jacket, and a hoodie. During the course of the investigation, preliminary evidence has led investigators to believe the aforementioned person is suspected of being involved in the murders of Abigail Williams and Liberty German.

Also, please do view the FBI link for additional information, as Liberty (who went by the nickname of Libby) had the presence of mind to record the suspect (apparently she knew he seemed suspicious before her tragic murder.) This is one of the saddest and most breaking news on the FBI site. This happened last week and Abigail and liberty were so young. Also they have voice audio of the man saying "Down the hill".
Let's hope this suspect can be apprehended before he does anything else.

I already mentioned that there is voice audio in the OP. Still doesn't make it any better but if they do catch this guy Abigail and Liberty in part will have helped solve their own case by recording the man and it will be very impressive and brave that they did so.

We are making a direct appeal to members of this community who may have information but are unaware or unsure of its significance or assume law enforcement may already have the information. Often someone in the community will unknowingly be associated with the individual or individuals who committed the crime and may be in a position to observe behavioral changes in that person. They will recognize the changes, and may even question the person about it, but may not connect the changes to that person’s involvement in the crime. On Monday, February 13, the individual or individuals responsible for these crimes may have been absent from work, missed or cancelled appointments or social engagements, or been unavailable or unresponsive during the afternoon period. That sounds good. Also not to make light of such a tragedy, but Abigail shares the same name as a girl from the book and movie The Crucible

I'm confused as Abigail is a relatively common name. I actually technically read the Crucible in high school but I completely forgot anything about it since it's been so long. Are there similarities between the book and this incident? Otherwise it's not that coincidental.

Nevermind I googled and now see her first AND last name were the same as the book. I understand now. Also no need to say "not trying to make light." I understand you weren't trying to make a joke but just pointing out that is an eerie coincidence.

The main character (antagonist) was named Abigail Williams also and there are no similarities between the book and this incident, but just thought I'd point out that she has the same first and last name as a girl in the crucible

Yeah I just replied  Getting back on topic, I hope the segment helps tomorrow. The video is grainy but better than nothing and showing this man to a national audience will hopefully be a big help. |

Yes of course and also the photo of the suspect makes me think he's probably intoxicated or may have taken something that's making him look down as that's what I seem to see in the image
