I've always stressed innocent until proven guilty on this site- even with fugitives- but Said was literally caught in the act on tape. What a crazy piece of sh**.

Yeah, I’m not really sure what Yaser is playing at here, but of course he has the right to say he’s innocent. However, the 911 tape seals the deal for me and I doubt it will take that long for a guilty verdict to be returned it this does proceed to trial.

Well, I'm sure that regardless of the obviousness of him shooting Amina and Sarah he thinks he's innocent as far as his sick rationalizations about honor killings go.

This is why I find trials and defenses more specifically so interesting... Don't get me wrong I absolutely agree with the community on this thread and hope he gets the most harsh sentence possible... With that said this is a Texas trial, the same place that found Durst not guilty for the murder of Morris Black, and that guy mutilated the body, disposed of the remains and fled... It will be very interesting to see how the defense plays the religious concepts in this case... Also I still believe wholeheartedly that Tish (the mother) should also be arrested and tried in this case... I would personally like to recommend to the Commissioner (Admin) that more details about the actual trial of all of these men and women are covered more exclusively... As family of a murder victim I can attest that those things are not publicized nearly enough, as the media feeds off of more scandalous, mainstream cases which is sad... The reason I love this community is how we all share awareness among each other, so trial coverage I feel would be a HUGE step forward.

Unfortunately, covering trials is extremely time consuming when our main goal is catching those still at large. We definitely update when there are verdicts, but seeing as we're only a fan page, we can only provide details that are made public. It remains to be seen whether Said's trial will be public or not. What all of us learn will depend on how secretive the trial is.

Also I know I've said it repeatedly on here but I absolutely agree Tish is at the very least morally just as responsible for her daughter's deaths. However, unfortunately, I don't believe there's enough evidence to convict her beyond a reasonable doubt. There's no transcripts texts etc...

Thank you for the response.. I think even noting if a trial is in fact public would enough, at which point we can all collectively do our own research.. As far as Tish goes, there are transcripts of her committing perjury, and she has publicly said how she lied to her daughters in order to get them to come back, without any logical reasons... She has backtracked and changed stories numerous times, and there is phone record proof that she had contacted Yaser numerous times after the death of her daughters.. She has also spoke publicly about witnessing the sexual abuse so there is no doubt enough evidence to put her in front of a jury.

Yeah well it would be nice for a grand jury to decide.
Just I'm unfortunately not as confident in a conviction as others might be.
However I would love for there to be charges if possible.

IMO, Yaser feels he is 100% justified in what he did but has likely been told by his lawyers he would be signing his own death warrant if he said that so he's going for the next "best" thing and that is saying he's innocent. Won't fly IMO but you never know until the words guilty are uttered. As for Tish, I agree she has responsibility for what happened to her daughters as well but I'm guessing the people who have the power to press charges looked into this and found there was nothing they could make stick to her. The court of public option is where the punishment will have to be.

I do agree that Patricia Owens is morally responsible, and the only way I see her getting charged is if she says anything at Yaser’s Trial that could implicate her in any way or if Yaser starts implicating Tish for the things she’s done, I do see charges being brought, also given this is a high profile case, it will be covered in the news heavily, I mean Brenda Delgado was heavily covered in Dallas area news when she was tried, why not Yaser Said as well.
Finally we all know Yaser is not innocent, he’s a cold blooded killer and his daughters pretty much said their father was the shooter, so this crap that he’s professing his innocence makes him look like an a-hole. I just hope during the trial that Yaser Said doesn’t start acting up like Hermann Goering did at Nuremberg, but sadly I have a feeling he will act that way based on this letter and how he’s denying any responsibility.
Before I call this an honor killing, I call it a murder and second I call it the biggest hypocrisy; a man who married an American woman, shot and killed his own daughters for dating American boys.

Now this I find interesting!!! This kind of stuff is fantastic, and having a case number is huge as well... What a NUT!! It is fascinating to me how the human mind thinks... How one can concoct a scenario in there own mind to diminish guilt from their own conscience.. It really is incredible

He was actually supposed to stand trial last month but the judge moved the date, and then when Said asked to read pages to the judge, his attorney denied the request... The reason for no capital punishment is the religious aspect of the case. As I've said in this thread Texas is tricky when it comes to Jury Trials.. You never know

Texas juries might be tricky but that's when dealing with self-defense as a defense cases or similar cases. I see absolutely no drama here as far as the verdict is concerned. Yaser was caught on tape. He's getting found guilty. The drama will be how emotional the trial is, how heated it gets, who will testify etc...
