Well Eric Toth replaced Bin Laden. I am in no way saying he was undeserving, but I don't think he was that huge a case at the time he was added, so you never know. This makes me think Michael Pratt should be the new addition even more though since it would also be a unique case and the international publicity factor but we'll see.

And Bulger, if I recall, was replaced by a breaking news fugitive (Adam Mayes). But then Urbina I want to say replaced Mayes.

I completely forgot about that, yeah Mayes technically replaced Bulger as a breaking news case but Urbina was the "formal" replacement if that makes sense.

I knew Urbina was the formal replacement for Bulger as it took very little time to replace Mayes so I basically put 2 and 2 together.
Speaking about formal replacements, I remember it only took them 2 weeks to replace Juan Elias Garcia with Brad Bishop, and keep it mind Garcia replaced Walter Williams while at the same time having Jose Guevara in Mexican custody since October 2013, but he wasn’t considered as Surrendered on the site until July 2014, so in theory the FBI had an open slot when they added Bishop.
They likely had Yaser Said as a main candidate since at least April 2014, which is months prior to his addition in December 2014 (but then they added Eric Frein who was also a breaking case like Adam Mayes)

I will still use my list from late last year, but I would like to add Devontay Anderson to my list of possible additions. Killing a seven-year-old girl by randomly shooting into a car at a drive-thru that she's riding in shows he's a very dangerous person and that no one is safe in his path.

My updated list of primary contenders (in no particular order): 1) Juan Laureano-Arvizu (Suspected in numerous homicides, strong threat to public); 2) Dennis St. John Rodriguez (Suspected in numerous homicides, strong threat to public); 3) Octaviano Juarez-Corro (Multiple murders - which was the most common way to get on the list from 1980-2009); 4) Kevin Lamont Carter (Violent felon); 5) Joe Matthew Constance (Violent felon); 6) Bob Tang (Violent crime, has skipped town internationally); 7) Trung Duc Lu (Violent crimes); 8) Jeffrey Dean McDaniel (EXTRAORDINARILY disturbing sex crimes, may have fled the U.S.); 9) Bruce Sawhill (Prior sex crime convictions); 10) Elby Hars (Prior sex crime convictions); 11) Devontay Anderson (Violent murder of a child); 12) Dennis Cunningham (Convicted felon; murdered victim during a robbery); 13) Michael Pratt (Extensive sex crimes, could be anywhere in the world).
My cold case fugitives: 1) John Gentry - I just have a feeling on this. The reason being, he is arguably a threat to a great deal of the public because he killed both a boyfriend and girlfriend in very brutal ways. Recent information received by the USMS indicates he is still alive; 2) Stanley Obas - Not as confident on this, but it was a brutal case nonetheless. They did have a recent tip in NYC a few years ago; 3) Alvin Scott - The FBI in Atlanta has revealed they have attempted to get him added to the list; 4) Edgardo Luis Perez - Poses a strong threat to the public; 5) Warren Stern - Brutal and random homicide, believed to have fled the United States; 6) Michel Barrera - Wanted for questioning in a homicide in Florida.

Nice list. My prediction is we'll see a new addition by June 9th. (Next Wednesday). Just a feeling lol.

I like the list maddog, however at the current moment I think Devontay Anderson is currently at the front of the line followed by Michael Pratt, but as for contenders, I think if the FBI wants to add a cold case, they will want to add someone who they know they’ll nab in a few months sort of like Edward Harper.
I feel like this could be the case for the fugitives from the 2 field offices in the Deep South (New Orleans, LA; and Mobile, AL)
Mobile currently has Kevin Lamont Carter, who despite being on the run for 26 years, is still catchable as he isn’t believed to have fled the United States and if added to the Top Ten List he could be caught in a matter of months.
This same logic could be applied to Hazel Leota Head, she’s catchable as she’s believed to still be within the United States, but she lived a very rough life health wise and Joe Matthew Constance would be a somewhat recent candidate, who is believed to be in Texas.
Also I must add that if they aren’t considering a recent case from the past month to 4 years, and if they are planning an addition for sometime this week or next, Joe Constance would be the guy as this week marks the 10th anniversary since the murder of his ex wife.

Going to throw out a wild card candidate in Kashawn Roper, currently only a seeking law enforcement assistance fugitive but if there is a federal warrant out there, she's wanted out of Kansas City Missouri for a drive-by shooting that killed a beloved mother of three children. You can tell the FBI really wants to catch her too because they put billboards all over the city. It's been a few years since the FBI added a female fugitive to the list, and I'm not a psychic but part of me for some reason feels it may be time for that to happen again, and someone like Roper fits the bill of being both dangerous and catchable.

I’d be okay with Kashawn Roper being added, plus a female fugitive would be a perfect replacement for Yaser Said who is the biggest capture since Robert Van Wisse in 2016, Whitey and Osama in 2011.

I think Scumhunter’s hunch about a Top Ten addition may be true as the FBI hasn’t updated its case of the week which was Miguel Alvarado, and it’s already after 12 noon in the Eastern United States.
Usually this could mean 2 things..... the FBI is indeed going to make an addition to the top ten sometime this week, make them case of the week or the FBI is going to make someone else who is non Top Ten case of the week and may want to do it this later this afternoon... however usually that’s a rare instance.

They finally updated to Little Zion John Doe so that's not it apparently.
(Also off-topic but anyone is free to post that case if they beat me to it as I won't be able to post it until after midnight. Just place it in unsolved on tv since it made national news).

Well the unsolved homicide of Darrell Deschene is this week's FBI case of the week so I guess my prediction didn't come true I was hoping lol.
They wrapped up the aiding and abetting aspect to the Yaser Said case so maybe that's what they were waiting for but who knows.

I was thinking the exact same thing too, that perhaps they wanted to get through that before they replace him. Yaser himself won’t be going to trial for a another couple of years.

Now that I think about it, does the FBI always make the new top addition the case of the week as well? It's possible I was close to being right, just off by a day or two if they add someone today or tomorrow even if they're not COTW lol.
