That is a good point. The FBI often chooses who makes their top 10 list because they think the public will recognize them as opposed to who is the worst of the worst (the most famous recent example Eric Toth- the FBI even basically admitted at the press conference perhaps there's fugitives even worse than him (in no way excusing his horrendous crimes) but he's over 6 feet and has a distinctive mole on his face and we think the public will recognize him more than other candidates).

Yes and Patel could pass by (not to be racist) as your typical store cashier, university student or even cab driver.

With 2 slots open on the Top Ten, and the FBI adding Murderer and violent offenders to their list, also the upcoming airing of this case sometime this year, make it the perfect storm for Patel to be added to the list, and they'd be dumb not to add him unless they plan to add a Crimes against children fugitive.
Like Gerardo Cruz-Hernandez, he's not a longtimer nor a recent case.
Now it's possible it'll take nearly a year to remove Jones and Strickland, but looking back at last year, Delgado was added in April 2016 and Bishop on the same month in 2014, which is also the anniversary month of the crime in which Patel is accused.
I'm not the FBI obviously, but as much as I want a CAC fugitive added, logic tells me that 2 murderers will be added and one of them has to be Patel finally, since there hasn't been anything on this case for about a good 14 months.

Since the FBI have two vacants spots left. I think they should add Bhadreshkumar Patel and Steven Eugene Clifford to the list because they deserved it.

Well as far as Patel, I'm all for it, but Clifford not so much because the FBI needs to add a recent fugitive to the Top Ten list in order for the captures to keep going. Personally I'd wait till either Robert Van Wisse, Luis Macedo, Yaser Said or even Jason Derek Brown get caught so they can add Clifford, but for now Patel would make a lot of sense.

Unfortunately it's been 2 years since Patel murdered his wife and still he hasn't been found. With Gomez (an FBI site veteran) I feel Patel is due for addition on the Top Ten since it's the month the murder was committed.

If worse comes to worse, we'll just have to wait for The Hunt to catch him this summer.

And Bhadreshkumar Patel has been added to the Top Ten List! wjla.com/news/local/wanted-fbi-adds-maryland-man-to-top-10-most-wanted-fugitives-listWhile Bhadreshkumar is deserving of his spot on the list, do you notice that both Bhadreshkumar and Walter Yovany-Gomez were in the United States illegally when they went on the run? I'm not saying Bhadreshkumar shouldn't have been put on the list, and hopefully this position results in his capture, but I just found it interesting.

Patel isn't appearing on the site yet but I'm glad they did His Top Ten Poster isn't up yet, but several local news outlets in Maryland as well as ABC News are reporting on it. I expect his poster to be up later today.

This is truly great news that he's added if the Maryland stations are reporting it. Usually FBI Twitter will announce it around 11:00 or so

according to the FBI Baltimore, Anne Arundel County Police will have a press conference that Patel is going to be placed on the list. Though they didnt specify who, I'm just glad he's finally been added after a 2 year wait.

I had Patel as my most likely addition even before the current administration was elected. I was trying to avoid political discussion in this thread and Gomez's and was planning on encouraging us to not go there. To be honest, as much as I hate censorship my original plan was to delete any comments that got political in fugitive threads themselves but now I realize it's pretty much like an elephant in the room that can't be ignored.
LOTS of illegals were placed on the list prior to Gomez and Patel- Urbina, Alexis Flores etc... before the current administration.
Perhaps there may be more to it but I still feel like the FBI still somewhat does it's own thing no matter who is the President.

Getting back on track though I'm glad he's added. Also I'd rather he be caught before then but I think considering the top 10 status this case has the potential to be The Hunt's season opener is Patel isn't captured by then but we'll see.
