Hello all forum members and readers alike,
It is time again for my annual most wanted list of the twenty alleged fugitive scumbags I want caught the most that our forum has profiled in the past year.
In tradition from the America's Most Wanted days, the forum year is generally considered between all cases added to our site from December 1st of the previous year to the end of November in the current forum year. I also generally like to keep the list somewhat recent, and only fugitives wanted within the past ten years (or a warrant issued within the past ten years) are usually considered. To make things even more relevant and recent, I am now erring towards even more recency and with some exceptions prefer that my list now reflects mainly fugitives from within the decade. The following are the Top 20 bad guys and girls I want caught the most that we profiled between December 1st, 2022 to November 30th, 2023.
Although I can't 100 percent guarantee, all of these fugitives were still at large to the best of my knowledge on this posting date .
Just a few technical notes before we get started:
-A CAPTURED stamp will appear next to the name of any fugitives captured after I made my list. You can click on the links for any further details as to where when etc..
-A RETRACTED- ALREADY CAPTURED stamp will appear next to any fugitives if it turns out they were already captured before my list was made but our website was not alerted.
-Not to sound like a jerk- but the purpose of my list is to get extra publicity on an overall variety of fugitive cases that our website profiled in the past year by linking to them on our front page and not to start a debate. I ask that posters please not comment and ask why someone didn't make the list (there are so many tragic cases we profile and so many cases I felt awful about having no room for, it is simply a given some terrible cases won't make it since it's a top 20 and not Top 500 list) and/or ask why is this guy higher than this guy or otherwise trying to compare who is worse than who in some form or fashion. I'm not normally a tyrant admin but any comments in that vain will be deleted in this thread. I just don't think its fun or appropriate to make game and debate over what are still serious cases. Members, however, are free to post their own most wanted lists. We used to have Personal by Year category in the general section that combined our AMW and post-AMW personal wanted lists but I have created a separate thread since we're in a new decade:

20: Trazana Mitchell:
Trazana Mitchell is accused of stabbing her longtime boyfriend, Mark Constantine, to death on August 30th, 2023.
In 2011, Mitchell was convicted of manslaughter in Louisiana after being found guilty of stabbing her previous boyfriend to death.

19: Lazaro Robles Becerra:
Lazaro Robles Becerra is wanted for the October 31st, 2022 vehicular homicide of four-year old Catherine Rodriguez. Catherine and her mother were in a crosswalk during Halloween when Lazaro allegedly drove and struck both of them. He then allegedly fled the scene. Catherine was killed and her mother suffered serious injuries.
By the time an arrest warrant was issued for Lazaro in December of 2022, Lazaro may have fled to Mexico.

18: Randy Ewing: (CAPTURED)
Randy Ewing is wanted for the August 18th 2023 alleged murder of Tomanuel Benson at a gas station in Memphis, Tennessee.
Benson was the brother of Memphis rapper Blac Youngsta.
Randy Ewing is also a convicted sex offender (he was convicted of statutory rape) wanted for failure to register.

#17: Jamionte Davis: (CAPTURED)
Jamionte Davis is wanted in connection with the May 5 fatal shooting of 19-year-olds Travione Jones and Devin Winchester and shooting injuries of three others.
Davis was also a fugitive in 2018 when he was wanted on attempted murder charges.

#16: Aaron Pennington
Aaron Pennington is wanted for the October 22nd, 2023 alleged murder of his wife, Breanne Pennington. The couple had four children aged 2, 5, 7 and 9. Investigators allegedly found disturbing notes on Pennington’s cell phone including “put a hole in her head.”

#15: Donald Eugene Fields
Donald Eugene Fields II is wanted for the alleged sex trafficking of at least one child in Missouri between approximately 2013 and 2017. It is alleged that he did knowingly attempt to recruit, entice, harbor, transport, provide, obtain, maintain, patronize and solicit a person whom he believed was under the age of l8 years and would be caused to engage in a commercial sex act.
On December 8, 2022, a federal arrest warrant was issued for Donald Eugene Fields II in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, St. Louis, Missouri, after being charged with Sex Trafficking of Children.
On May 25th, 2023, Donald Fields was added to the FBI's ten most wanted fugitives list.

14: Anthony Castleman: (CAPTURED)
Anthony Castleman is wanted for the early November 2023 alleged murder of his own grandmother, 72-year-old Bernice Eubank. Eubank was allegedly stabbed to death by Castleman.

#13: Thaddeus Allen
Thaddeus Allen is wanted out of Harris County, Texas after fleeing his April 2022 trial for human trafficking. A jury convicted Allen of kidnapping and sex trafficking a woman and sentenced him to 75 years in prison.
The prosecutor in Allen's trial believes he has evidence that Allen trafficked at least four other victims.

#12: Jario Sanchez:
In early October of 2023, Jario Isidro Thomas Sanchez was indicted on 14 counts including gross sexual imposition, sexual imposition, unlawful restraint and abduction in Butler County, Ohio.
The alleged crimes were first reported in December 2022, the sheriff's office said.
During the time of many of the incidents, Sanchez was working as a pastor or youth pastor at various churches in Hamilton County.
The alleged incidents span a roughly 12-year period, with the victims being under 16 years old in five instances and under 13 in three others.

#11: Octavio Montano Islas:
Octavio Montano Islas is wanted out of Long Beach, California for the March 1st, 2022 vehicular homicides of 42-year old Jose Palacios Gonzales and 3-year old Samantha Palacios. Montano Islas was driving a pickup truck when he allegedly crashed into an apartment building. Jose and Samantha, who were both sleeping, were killed. Articles mention that Montano Islas left a bar before the crash. Montano Islas fled the scene and has been a fugitive ever since.

#10: Gerardo & Juan Soto
Gerardo and Juan Soto are the last suspects wanted in connection with the homicide of 17-year old Eric Jones on January 24th, 2001. Authorities say that a group of men lured Eric to a residence to smoke meth. Once there, Eric was attacked by being stabbed, beaten, electrocuted, sodomized and also called racial slurs (Eric was African-American). Eric was then bound with duct tape, taken to a remote area in Tulare County, California and shot ten times.
Sheriff's officials believed that Eric may have been killed for retaliation after he stole a car, according to Newspapers.com archives. The same article mentioned that prosecutors did not believe that but did not comment on a motive.
Five of Eric's killers were arrested and convicted. One was given parole in 2021 despite pleas from Eric's family to keep him in jail. The Soto brothers are believed to have fled to Mexico and have never been arrested.
I found this case so outrageous that although I prefer more recent cases for my yearly most wanted, I decided to make the Soto Brothers the one exception on this year's list

#9: Enrique Toledo
Enrique Toledo has also skipped out on a 12.5 million wrongful death lawsuit against him in regards to a nursing home he owned. A patient died from an infection under his care. It was alleged the home was understaffed and that Toledo took money that should have been for resources for himself.

#8: Taj Lennon (CAPTURED) &Kevin Yip (CAPTURED)
Taj Lennon & Kevin Yip are wanted for a quadruple shooting that left three teenagers murdered. Authorities say that two groups of mostly teenagers met up at a home for some type of transaction. That's when gunfire erupted. As a result, 14-year old Salah Fleming, 17-year old Malik Ballard and 18-year old Khalif Frezghi were killed. Lennon and Yip are still wanted for their alleged involvement in this crime.

# 7: Rafael Hernandez Gonzalez
Rafael Hernandez Gonzalez is wanted out of Houston, Texas for two alleged separate murders on August 18th, 2023.
One victim was Josue Geovanni Argueta Giron, who was Hernandez Gonzalez's boss.
The other victim was 21-year-old Wendy Guadalupe Guzman, who was Hernandez Gonzalez's own daughter.

Javyonne Stewart is wanted out of Euclid, Ohio for his alleged involvement in the December 11th, 2021 drive-by shooting death of 13-year-old Maurco Toler.

Justin Akines is wanted out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, for allegedly fatally beating his partner’s 4-month-old child on the morning of Sept. 4, 2022.

Jordy Barrios is wanted out of Houston, Texas for the March 19th, 2023 shooting deaths of Jorge Vazquez Gerardo Filomeno, and Cesar Villalon. Barrios is alleged to have shot the three men after an argument outside of a nightclub.

#3: Donald Barahona Quinonez (CAPTURED)
Donald Barahona Quinonez is being sought in a shooting at a Woodbridge, Virginia, home that killed three people and injured another.
Police say the victims were Edwin Geovanny Salmeron, 37; Luis Alonzo Salgado-Rivas, 41; and Kevin Josue Vallecillo Mendoza, 23. All were residents of Woodbridge.
Authorities said it was a targeted shooting, and later named Barahona Quinonez as the alleged suspect.

Gabriel Calixto is wanted out of Springfield, Illinois for the July 11th, 2023 alleged murder of beloved community activist Emma Shafer.
Calixto was convicted in 2018 of kidnapping a woman but his sentence was vacated in 2020 for "constitutional reasons."

#1: Tashawnda Drayton (CAPTURED)
Tashawnda Drayton, a female rapper who goes by the stage name "23 Brazy", is wanted out of Franklin, Virginia for the shooting death of a 10-year-old boy.
Drayton was allegedly one of four suspects who arrived at a home and had an "altercation" with a man there, police said. As it escalated, Drayton allegedly drew a firearm and shot both a 37-year-old man and a 10-year-old La'Marj Holden.
A relative carried La'Marj to a different house, where emergency responders found him. He later died at the hospital.

Enrique Toledo is accused of killing his wife, Heather Toledo, at their home in Valrico, Florida on July 3, 2022. According to enriquetoledowanted.com, Toledo allegedly shot his wife point blank in the face two times as his daughter watched. They also claim his other two minor daughters were barricaded in the next room and heard every single thing through the paper thin walls of the Valrico home they shared. Toledo then called 911 and calmly stated to the operator “I just killed my wife”
After posting $150,000 bail, he was released from jail with an electronic monitoring device. Toledo cut off the ankle monitor and fled. On December 15, 2022 an arrest warrant was issued for Toledo.
