Authorities are offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of a youth pastor charged with sex crimes against minors.
Jario Isidro Thomas Sanchez, 38, was indicted last week on 14 counts including gross sexual imposition, sexual imposition, unlawful restraint and abduction, according to Butler County Common Pleas Court filings.
Sanchez was living in the U.S. illegally and there are indications that he may have fled the country a short time after the alleged crimes were first reported in December 2022, the sheriff's office said.
During the time of many of the incidents, Sanchez was working as a pastor or youth pastor at various churches in Hamilton County, Butler County Chief Assistant Prosecutor Lindsay Sheehan told The Enquirer via email.
The alleged incidents span a roughly 12-year period, with the victims being under 16 years old in five instances and under 13 in three others.
The Butler County Sheriff's Office says the incidents happened at Sanchez's former home in Lemon Township and at churches he was affiliated with in Butler and Hamilton counties.

Thoughts? As far as I can tell, Sanchez is still at large as of today's posting date (October 8th, 2023), since most articles are from the past few days and this is a high-profile case in the local area where there would be updates. This is a sickening case, and guys like Sanchez who have the means to get to access to children in a position of trust are the worst kind of alleged child predators.
