I just realized I accidentally posted in the season 1 thread that CNN announced The Hunt was returning in the summer. Please look at that thread for my rant about the need for a court of last resort to be on tv more frequently- however, I am happy the show is returning, despite the delay.

This is mainly an attempt at being funny, but if CNN had The Hunt premiere it's second season sooner, I would live with the return of the round table format.

Here's reason to be hopeful a new interview with John Walsh about his Justice Network mentions this: "The Hunt returns for a second season this summer after a successful eight-episode test run. CNN will give him 16 more episodes." radiotvtalk.blog.ajc.com/2015/03/13/john-walsh-spokesman-for-atlanta-based-justice-network/I promise to stop all my complaining about everything if turns out to be true. I think 16-episode seasons definitely solves the problem of long breaks and only one to two fugitives an episode.

I mentioned this on our forum's Facebook page but I'm starting to notice a lot of other crime-themed webpages, social media sites etc. copying and pasting what we find out about the Hunt's upcoming season and acting like they first received the information. We're all in this together, and we personally don't care if you re-post our information. For example, in the missing children section we often copy the Charley Project's case summaries, but we make sure to credit them. All we ask is you give us credit. You technically don't have to, but we'd do the same for you.

Nice find! It doesn't mention the case but since it's a young actress obviously it might be a case where a child is a victim.
Also off-topic, one thing driving me crazy as much as I love The Hunt is John Walsh constantly saying AMW was "old and tired" towards the end when talking about The Hunt and why he's doing it. Although the ratings didn't reflect it, most of us die-hard AMW fans on here, the ones that watch every week and have a textbook memory of all the cases, not the fair weather fans that only complained after cancellations, agree that the 2011-2012 season on Lifetime was AMW's best season since 2008. They just picked a network that wasn't a good fit for it unfortunately. The only thing that sucked was we didn't get to see our favorite correspondents on camera anymore.
I just want to get that out there since I love The Hunt, but two fugitive shows are better than one, should any network ever want to bring back AMW as well.

The last I heard, one week ago, they were still shooting. It will air though. I am speaking with the producer from Zero Point Zero productions in two weeks about upcoming episodes. Till then.......

Hi williamsdad,
Nice to hear. I don't know how The Hunt will work but with AMW they had updates on fugitives aired on previous episodes still not caught. For instance, if tips were coming in from a particular area or anything else of note, they'd update leads. Of course it was only what law enforcement actually wanted the public to know what they learned from the airings. If they wanted the public to know tips placing a fugitive in a certain location, they'd say so and if not, they wouldn't. So I am hoping if Ponce still isn't caught they update anything potentially helpful that can go public for season 2. Of course, what I am really hoping for is Ponce is caught much sooner. Thanks for the update!

I saw a poster on Facebook claim they are now running ads for the upcoming season of The Hunt. Can anyone confirm this? Unfortunately, it means you'll have to watch CNN. (I'm just kidding CNN! Somewhat!)

So the good news is that Alexander Hill was caught. The bad news is that is one less episode of The Hunt that could have been focused on a different story. I realize that with these filmed so far in advance before the air date that there's no way to tell if any of the fugitives would be arrested before the season starts, although this also happened on AMW from time to time.

I am anticipating the new season of "The Hunt". Also, I have recently found out about the Justice Network. You don't how how much I would love to see reruns of AMW of there if he can get it.

I realize that with these filmed so far in advance before the air date that there's no way to tell if any of the fugitives would be arrested before the season starts, although this also happened on AMW from time to time. This happened on AMW before but they aired multiple stories and fugitives. The Hunt does less cases, so I hope they also filmed "Just in case" segments as well. This is the problem with such long in between breaks. Except for the Lifetime season (which also would have had in between breaks if renewed), AMW was aired year round. Beggars can't be choosers so I'm not complaining about that, but while I'd rather Hill be caught then The Hunt having to air him of course, this does set them back a bit. I still think Matthew Dion is also a great backup season Premiere case though. Taking nothing away with how tragic the case is, but it's also one of the more interesting cases- especially considering the mystery around the fire and Dion nearly escaping capture in St. Petersburg.
