Just read these claims on the Hunt Facebook group run by Steve from MKTV. Some of these sound like some things we've already stated, but nevertheless:
Here are some confirmed facts: 1. Season 2 of The Hunt *will* air on CNN in the future. 2. As of right now, the start date looks to be in July, but it could be pushed back to September. 3. The reason for the delay has to do with contracts that John Walsh is currently under. 4. John Walsh is currently under contract not only to CNN, but to the Justice Network. 5. John Walsh's CNN contract is currently set to expire in 2015. 6. Season 2 of The Hunt will consist of 16 episodes.
We also have unconfirmed rumors: 1. The format of the show is scheduled to be altered. 2. Fifteen Seconds of Shame is scheduled to return. 3. Reenactments will have speaking roles. This rumor comes from an actress from one of the already filmed episodes.
Thoughts? First off, people are already saying they're seeing commercials for The Hunt, even though I haven't, so I'm not too worried about that possible September delay... yet. Also, glad to see Steve seems to confirm the 16 episodes. Also, as much as we loved The Hunt's first season- and as successful as it was- the format does need to be slightly altered. When you devote 5 minutes of time to Shane Miller's wife's hairdresser- that is really dragging things out unnecessarily and that space could have been used for brief spots on fugitives.
15 seconds of shame and a slightly altered format would do wonders to show more fugitives so I hope that's true! Although part of me wonders if someone read us suggesting they bring 15 seconds back and misread it as The Hunt bringing it back. (Nothing against the group, it's a great group (and so is MKTV so please support it!), but sometimes people read this website and send the admins of various AMW and Hunt fan pages their misinterpretations of our information- which is why I stressed those people giving us credit for the information we find so they can see what we meant- and what I am doing here).

Reasons why 15 Seconds of Shame wouldn't return: *It hasn't been used since June '010, over 2 years before America's Most Wanted's 10-12-012 series finale *They had originally axed the Shame segments because 15 seconds was far too little time to describe a fugitive's crimes and whereabouts. This is why they replaced it with BOLO in November '010. *Too many cases aired on one show contributed to staff's complaints of a frantic-paced show.
Reasons why it would return: *Each of the 4 quarter-minute segments requires very little footage. Often times, previous footage from full profiles was recycled. *The possibility that Walsh and company conceded that their success rate was too slow with so few fugitives for show... *...and that perhaps they recalled that the Shame segments busted about 80 fugitives in 5 1/2 years. *The possibility that they were feeling pressure to air more cases in order to solve more cases, which would probably require them to make The Hunt more and more like AMW as the show goes on. *The possibility that 15 Seconds of Shame was the most resource-efficient type of segment for brief airings. *The slight possibility that fellow AMW fans saw us talking about how much good it would do to bring 15SoS back, that they passed the suggestion to the staff, and a motion to revive 15 Seconds may have passed. *If I remember correctly, after BOLO replaced Shame, it may not have been enough of a success, and they might've axed the BOLO segments some time in '012 long before AMW was cancelled.
Which side has more weight?

Definitely think the side of it returning is more weight. If you do an entire show on one fugiitve- and give just 15 seconds to three fugitives- that's four fugitives per episodes. If there were an 8 episode season focused on just one fugitive per episode- that would be 32 fugitives as opposed to 8! A 16 episode season would be 64. There were like something like 12-14 fugitives in season 1. So math-wise that's potentially 112 fugitives if season 1 is 16-episodes!
The only thing though because it's technically an AMW segment I feel like The Hunt may bring 15 seconds of shame back or a similar short length but won't call it 15 seconds of shame. Like 20-second roundup or something. (I feel like I'm re-enacting the Pulp Fiction McDonald's scene. They don't call it 15 seconds of shame on the new show. What do they call it? The 20-second roundup. 20-second roundup?)

*They had originally axed the Shame segments because 15 seconds was far too little time to describe a fugitive's crimes and whereabouts. This is why they replaced it with BOLO in November '010. I had this confirmed to me from Steve Katz himself on Twitter. He said that while the segment was popular, they wanted to do something that devoted more time to a fugitive.

As mentioned on his thread, and thanks to HeadMarshal's research, we now know Yaser Said will get a profile on season 2 of The Hunt!!!! I think this news is not surprising, I pretty much assumed Yaser Said was going to get a profile being the newest addition to the FBI's Top 10 list, but it feels so good to have confirmation! I think another airing will be what finally brings this monster to justice! fardeenbarak.com/

Ok, HeadMarshal inspired me to dig deeper and found the profile of an adult actress playing "murderer." This is just speculation on my part, but if it's not a new fugitive, I wonder if it can possibly be Margaret Smith since she was a recent AMW fugitive and had the notorious distinction of being the "first-ever" fugitive of the Lifetime era. (Still bothers me they still haven't caught her because of that.) Other than that, I can't really think of many other possibilities at the moment. pollykreisman.wix.com/actor#!resume/c13dn

I mentioned this with HeadMarshal before but I found this description for a casting call for The Hunt:
"Abhinatha & Neelmadhav: (Lead) charismatic and persuasive leaders of a fringe religious movement; charming, but self-centered with God complexes; one is accused of sexually abusing teen girls, who are among their followers."
It says they were seeking South Asian males 40 plus or older.
I don't know any fugitives by those last names, so I am wondering if one of those are code names for Prakashanand Saraaswati. I believe he has also been associated with another guru/alleged child molester as well.
So basically in addition to cases we pretty much confirmed, we have cases that *sound* like Paul Jackson, Margaret Smith, and Prakashanand Saraswati, but we can't officially confirm them and there's always the chance they are just similar cases to a new fugitive.
(P.S. If what we think holds up, it means at least FOUR Texas fugitives will be on season 2 of The Hunt!)

(P.S. If what we think holds up, it means at least FOUR Texas fugitives will be on season 2 of The Hunt!) I consider "South Asia" to be primarily India, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Burma." While Prakashanand had molested 2 girls, I don't think anyone considered him a particularly fringe religious extremist. In America, most fringe extremists happen to be secluded sects like FLDS (Warren Steed-Jeffs and Orson William Black) and Tony Alamos's ministry, and offshoots of Christianity, such as fundamentalist Pentecostals, snake-handling sects, hyper-Calvinists, and Rushdoony Reconstructionists. A lot of them are found within a rectangle encompassing Kansas, central Texas, the Florida panhandle, West Virginia, and everything in between. Please note that I don't endorse any of those versions of religion. In fact, as someone who finds honor in the Christian Left's depiction of Christ, without even attending church, I am highly embarrassed by the ultra-fundamentalists listed above who've tarnished Christ's good name. Also, I think they'll all be new cases.

We'll see. If I'm right about any of the three, my guess is Paul Jackson but we'll see.

I'm seeing casting calls for episodes "209 and 210"- this should help confirm even more the season will be 16 episodes. Or at the very least- more than just eight.
