Ok. Well a few updates I figure I should mention. The first I found out due to HeadMarshal's good work!- An actress puts in the upcoming season "I play a kidnapped, tough but terrified, prostitute. " It sounds a lot like Paul Jackson, but perhaps it will be a new fugitive.
Also I saw an actress on Facebook say she would be on the show, she didn't say much except someone asked her if she had a speaking role and she said "I get to speak, and then I die."- If you recall, NO ONE ever technically spoke in The Hunt's first season in the re-enactments. A lot spoke in narration- particularly the fugitives- I can recall Kevin Stoeser, Brad Bishop, and Victor Barnard all speaking in voice-over. So I am curious if this means a voice-over or if The Hunt will get more AMW-esque in season 2. If not the number of cases, than at least in how they're portrayed...

I admit that every time I see this thread updated I'm like "Are we actually getting detailed information now! LOL". It will be interesting to see if the format is at least slightly altered for the second season.

I have to admit I think that too so now you know how it feels! LOL. Also, off-topic but this also reminds me whenever anyone quotes me or likes my post, my profile gets an alert. This is also the same when someone registers. So I always get excited when I see an alert like "oh wow, we might have a new member. I hope they're good and not a spammer!" and then I'll click on the alert and I'll be like "damnit, it's just somebody liked what I had to say."

Not sure if I've ever suggested this before but while a 50/50 fugitives show would be amazing, why can't cnn.com do a 50/50 fugitives map like the one from the amw.com days.

That would be and it would also be a nice compromise to "once in a while" break from format to show more fugitives!

I'm watching the Oscars tonight, but hopefully CNN has a commercial promo for The Hunt's second season during the marathon.

A new interview with John Walsh says "The Hunt returns with reruns of season 1 in March and season 2 begins in April." Is that what he meant all along? He also claims "we caught four guys off the show." I really wish The Hunt had a capture counter because it's driving me crazy with who counts and who doesn't as direct results of the show- I gave them Kevin Stoeser in the unofficial directory, but even that is being generous. The only captures we can pretty much say are undisputed and directly because of The Hunt are Mozdir and Genevieve Kelley. He also says he's hoping to do more projects and reality shows with the Justice Network once his exclusivity contract with CNN runs out next year. Just me speculating but perhaps ANOTHER fugitive show (with all due respect to The Hunt which is a great show but the one real and basically only problem is the fact they only do one or two fugitives) and/or bringing AMW itself back would be nice.

I just found that interview and it said that the second season of The Hunt will premiere sometime in the third quarter which would be July-September. Please tell me CNN that we do not have to wait THIS long especially since based on research Scumhunter and I have done, a fair amount of the episodes are done and others are close to being done. www.multichannel.com/walsh-cable-vets-back-new-net-serving-justice/388229

I still feel The Hunt will be no later than April- especially with even the US Marshals anticipating Matthew Dion is scheduled for that month. The only way I wouldn't be extremely pissed off if the wait is even longer is if it's at least a 16 episode season- at least. Although in the meantime this site will keep the spotlight on the fugitives as well.

P.S. I just realized I never actually posted the article LOL. Sorry about that, but yeah if we have to wait until July again I probably will go insane.

Ok interview with a guy who is involved with Justice Network who says he spoke with John Walsh and the show is coming back in JULY of 2015! Granted, this isn't John Walsh himself, but pardon my French in acronyms but HTF? do we go from a March 1st return date to freaking JULY!!!!! I swear I will be so pissed. It's bad enough The Hunt already shows an incredibly limited amount of cases for a public service show (as much as I love the show and as much initial success as they've had), but if it's only going to be on once a year during the summer that's even worse. NOT ENOUGH FUGITIVES ARE BEING SHOWN ON TV! NOT ENOUGH OF OTHER CASES AS WELL! PUBLIC SAFETY IS AT STAKE! WHERE IS THE COURT OF LAST RESORT FOR EVERYONE? The only, and I do mean only way I won't be extremely pissed off is if The Hunt has at least a 16-episode season for season 2. Considering even Anthony Bourdain, CNN's most successful original series in history only has about 8 or 9 episodes, I'm not that hopeful. At this point it's like we're back to AMW being cancelled with only the occasional Fox special. John Walsh came back for just 8 shows a year? Heck, AMW themselves could have cut a deal for a shortened season after all if money was the issue was with them. Way too much time to waste when it comes to tracking down bad guys. Hopefully it will be April after all. Otherwise, this is extremely infuriating, and I apologize for the rant and typing in all caps. radiotvtalk.blog.ajc.com/2015/02/26/video-the-walking-dead-american-idol-john-walsh-and-the-justice-network/?ecmp=ajc_social_twitter_2014_radiotv_sfp

I really can understand your frustration Scumhunter. Also what I don't feel is being done professionally is filming complete episodes of this series long before they're scheduled to get aired, what happens if a fugitive is caught a month or two before July? In fact that technically already did happen with Johnny Napier.

Exactly, my frustration though is that AMW was cancelled as a weekly-series Fox for four 2 hour specials a year. Essentially 8 hours worth of episodes. It wasn't good enough for John Walsh as he realized they were a court of last resort and struck a deal with Lifetime to make shows on a weekly basis (or at least a season weekly basis).
So now we're back to no AMW, and just 8 hours worth of fugitives a year- and only 1 or 2 cases at that.
So what was the point of going to Lifetime in the first place if this is what we'd eventually wind up with?
Even with 2 hour specials, at least the same amount of air-time of fugitive cases would have been aired on free tv and not on cable.

I read that Anthony Bourdain's Parts Unknown returns in Spring which means probably April or May- considering they have the same time slot as The Hunt it's all the more likely The Hunt may indeed have been pushed back to July, unless they put The Hunt on before or after Bourdain or on another night. So we went from a year round show with AMW, to a year-round show with long breaks (if it wasn't cancelled) on Lifetime, to (probably) 8 or 9 episodes once a year. It's awesome five fugitives from the show have been caught (although only two can be directly attributed to the show through news articles and/or law enforcement statements, they claim three in commercials), but the problem is a show like this is a court of last resort and too many lives are at stake to take such long breaks. I love The Hunt, but there needs a breaking news fugitive show like AMW was as well: www.cnn.com/shows/anthony-bourdain-parts-unknown
