This doesn't change anything. Unfortunately ratings wise the premiere was a bust. Honestly even when you first showed it it didn't look that great to me but I was trying to sugar coat it since I didn't want to be too negative. Unfortunately articles pretty confirmed it was a bad start and I couldn't pretend anymore.
We need to tell our friends to watch the show.

Maybe we should call these ratings people out and ask them to consider either of the following... Would they want their teenage daughters be targeted by sexual predators/rapists? A person's son who is a cop is gunned down in cold blood? A person's home is burned down by a serial rapist? Life is unpredictable and we can't be so sure as to whether one's life is going to be rubbed/snuffed out by either the pandemic or a maniac with a gun or a knife.

It's a catch-22 in that although I don't want to be overdramatic and start telling people if they don't want watch tonight they're going to be stabbed to death tomorrow, I don't want to lessen the importance of AMW or AMW-type shows either.
No one thinks an AMW-type case can happen to them- until it happens to them. Everyone on these shows always says the same thing "I always thought this stuff happens to other people on tv- but never to me." John Walsh was a regular guy who it could never happen to. So was so many others.
At the same time, unfortunately, even though AMW in my opinion should be considered a public service show, ratings unfortunately matter to networks since they want to make money- it's America, capitalism etc... especially when it comes to the "big 4 networks"- ratings still matter on cable and streaming- but there's a little more room for patience there.

The second episode of AMW was pretty well done, I really liked it, Tamera Williams segment was pretty good and I felt they did mention some great points, Larry Chism’s case thus far was the segment that was done really well, it felt like they went into a lot of detail like In Pursuit, however the Christopher Burns segment was pretty Short IMO, it could’ve been more detailed.
Also some important things from tonight’s episode, Tamera Williams possibly was last spotted on surveillance at a fish market in the Bronx 6 months ago, Larry Chism’s last update was when he sold his Van in Atlanta, Georgia or Georgia in 1990. Prior to that Chism travelled around through New Orleans, Louisiana, Mobile, Alabama and Charlotte, North Carolina, where investigators were closing in to apprehend him only to find an empty house. Christopher Burns is believed to be in Las Vegas, Nevada as he’s made a trip to that city once a month for years.

Couple of constructive criticisms:
-I would have liked more focus on that new surveillance video of Williams- like not just a still photo but video too if they had it but the update is huge.
Edit: Disappointed they didn't mention Eastern Stars though.
-Similarly, I would have liked more video of Burns speaking since he actually spoke on tv with his "invsetment advice"- maybe on their website or social media AMW can link to video of Burns.
Both Burns and Williams have decent potential to become direct captures at least
-Larry Porter Chism actor actually spoke in the re-enactment so for the first time it wasn't just visual. I think the re-enactment purposely was made to feel "retro" though.
They also mentioned it was Chism's second time on AMW. I'm assuming they meant he was on the old show and now this show as he was aired way more than once on the old AMW but that's a relatively minor issue.
-They still refuse to give themselves credit for more than 1186 captures lol.
-Lots of robbery video segments but no missing child or breaking news fugitive segments
To be honest, I liked the premiere a little better but I was still engaged and "enjoyed" (once again AMW is a show you should be dedicated and engaged to and I hate using the word "enjoyed" but in terms of keeping my attention) the episode.
-911 comes back on April 19th. So hopefully AMW 2.0 can finally have a decent lead-in once that happens.

Also maybe they took my constructive advice because they were a bit lighter on the tweets tonight- mainly just comments about last week's episode lol.

My thoughts.
The profiles of Tamara Williams and Larry Porter Chism were good. I had no criticisms with their airings, and I appreciate them bringing up the six-month recent image of Williams in New York City. I really believe that Williams can become a direct capture.
Christopher Burns's airing was rather short compared to Williams and Chism. However, I felt there wasn't as much to talk about with his case. They got the message very clear as to why he's a complete scumbag, especially because his own parents were among his alleged victims.
I have to be critical of the focus of unidentified robbers who are caught on tape and are not known suspects with active warrants. One of those unidentified robbers is fine per episode, but this is starting to get redundant. Surely there have to be known suspects like Phillip Michael Dent that could be aired as well.

AMW 2.0 a ratings bust for second week in a row although it did "improve" from 0.3 to 0.4 for 18-49. The article did point out one of my defenses for the lackluster start in that it acknowledged AMW had to follow a rerun of 911 rather than a new episode. Fox is being contradictory in that in one hand they heavily promoted the premiere and put it on one of their better performing nights. But they have it debut following reruns along with competing against reality shows and March Madness. I know we can't blame low ratings entirely on a bad lead-in, this is a different type of viewing audience than the olden daysnof Fox, but Fox isn't helping. programminginsider.com/monday-ratings-ncaa-basketball-leads-cbs-to-victory/

If Fox wanted AMW to succeed, they should just put it on Saturday night where it belongs. I realize that's probably not feasible, but it's what I would have done.

As others have said, the ratings right now aren't where you want them to be. Hopefully that will change as they get their feet on the ground.

I don't think Saturdays are every week feasible any more but they appear to be feasible in the spring at least.

As I’ve said previously, What about Friday nights? I really do think it should be on Saturday nights like before, but as Scumhunter mentioned, T.V. has changed a lot since 2012, so I think this was the reason behind airing it on Monday Night.

AMW did well on Fridays on Lifetime (once again it was mainly Fox's license fees that cancelled it- the irony of them bringing it back after sabotaging it years later)- and Live PD did well on Fridays too- I'd have no argument there. AMW was on Fridays on Fox for a few years in the early 90s- but their biggest chunk of success was when they were on Saturdays in the mid-90's-2011. Friday's the next best thing for me though.

But like I said we also have to face the reality that although we can complain about days or lead-in, even though most of us here like the new AMW, the general viewing public isn't responding the same way and changing the day might not necessarily help in this case. Still, I think moving the show to Fri or Saturdays and also giving it a decent lead-in would be the two best options to at least see if it can improve ratings at this point.
