Today is the anniversary of DB Cooper. I doubt we will ever know anything more about this case than we do now. The most bizarre part of this case is the money that was found, it only seemed to produce more questions. Why was some missing? Why did it all wash up in the same place? Why did it take so long to appear?

This case has always interested me, although most of them do I guess! So little to go on. How did he flee the area so quickly? No one ever saw him get into a car as far as I know.

It may not be public, but I think the FBI received something which prompted his addition to the list. One thing that there isn't solid evidence of, at least in my opinion, is that he is in Europe. None of the sightings are credible.

My understanding is that the FBI did receive some information that suggested Bishop was still alive and likely in the USA, but I have no idea what that information is nor how credible. That being said I don't get the feeling this is a case they are privately making a lot of progress on, I think it is very much a cold case.

What doesn't make sense is why did he set fire to the bodies? He could have just buried them int he woods somewhere and they may never have been found. Lighting the fire ensured they would be found which could indicate he wanted the world to know about his crime. Not necessarily the actions of someone wanting to start a new life and not be caught.

The more I think about this case, which is a lot, the more I wonder if he has been dead for quite some time. Maybe he really did just end it all in the North Carolina forest?

This is another one of those cases where I wish the whole family could be put in jail until one of them reveals where the suspect is. Never going to happen of course, but I still wish it in cases where families are obviously aiding fugitives.

It is a three-way tie with Bishop, but I doubt he can be caught. Brown and Said are eminently catchable.

Somehow I think Kielcheski or the boyfriend, or both of them know what happened to her.

The American Greed episode about Brown was on CNBC tonight. Good to see him getting some primetime airtime.

Actually after communicating with Mr Bruno, he says that even though he isn't privy to the FBI investigation, he does know that whatever information they received, it isn't that he is dead. Law enforcement still believe he is alive, or at least was alive in recent times. Of course what we don't know is how many years old this information is. I guess there must be a reason they finally added him to the Top 10?

I have always felt this guy could have been caught had their been more publicity over this case. I guess the fact he escaped from prison quite a number of years after committing the crime made him less high-profile.

He would certainly stand out in Mexico.
