Here's another one I just noticed - AMW would always use this one clip of an airplane taking off whenever they mentioned someone fled the country. I don't think it was filmed for a reenactment but it still counts as being recycled There's also one clip I wish I knew where it came from; it's one of a guy running down a sidewalk at night. Whenever AMW mentioned someone fleeing the scene, that clip would air. Have no clue whose reenactment it originated from, though.

No update on this case, but check out this old article I found from 1999, published shortly after the arrest of Kathleen Soliah (aka, Sara Jane Olson). They talked about how following Soliah's arrest, police got hundreds of tips saying other fugitives were hiding out in Minnesota. One of those fugitives? Gloria Schulze You'll have to do a Control+F to find her, but apparently back in 1996/1997, she was allegedly working for a rehab center as a lobbyist. Even more bizarre? She apparently was close with the late Sen. Paul Wellstone! Obviously nothing ever came of this lead, but it's still really bizarre. www.citypages.com/1999-06-30/books/minnesota-s-most-wanted/full/Also, look at some of the other fugitives that were believed to be hiding out in Minnesota; Glen Godwin, Angel Resendiz, Donald Webb and even Osama bin Laden!

I can almost see Barnard going down the same way Warren Jeffs did - a routine traffic stop where the officer realizes who he is after the car is stopped. These religious leader fugitives always go down in the most innocuous way.

As I've thought more and more about this case, one thought has crossed my mind. What if the U.S. promised Chesimard a new trial if she came back? I know that's highly unlikely (Chris Christie would probably fight against it to no end) and it would cause the victims agony and unnecessary heartache, but think about it - that could be the only way she comes back to face her charges. If I was really desperate to get her back, I might be tempted to offer her that deal.

Don't really have much to add other than the fact that at one point during their December 2011 profile, John Walsh referred to them by their real names. I can't remember if it was the fugitive recap or if it was when their profile card went up on the screen, but I remember him saying "Joseph Horace Green and Channell Warren, who may be using the names Ty and Tisa Yiyara...."

I can't believe nobody has mentioned these ones before! I'm going through my old episodes and stumbled across some great one-liners that came from the 2006 online sex predator sting in Suffolk County. This was the one that featured John Walsh confronting these people who thought they were meeting teens for sex. One guy had apparently gotten away with it once before, and boy did John have a field day with him. Among the classic one-liners: "This is a bad day for you!" "Let me tell you something, bro, you're in big, big trouble!" "I'm also going to tell you one more thing, bro. You got away with it once before, but you are (bleep)ed today! You are (bleep)ed!" (Even the guy in handcuffs was like, "whoa..." when John said that) I hated when John Walsh did these predator stings (mostly because one of the guys that showed up apparently had the mental capacity of a child and probably didn't fully comprehend what was happening) but those one-liners are great

I was reading one of John Walsh's books where they said he didn't start calling them "scumbags" until after the show's 1996 cancellation. The executives at Fox at the time apparently were more lenient with him Even looking at the 1996 episodes of the show that are available on YouTube, John still seems nervous.

They gave him a brief mention on both Loesch and Hanson's original profile and then quickly aired an age-enhanced photo during their capture report. For some reason though, his profile was never added to amw.com, which is really strange, because you'd think the show would have added urgency to his case, given what happened to his mom. That's definitely something that shouldn't have been as overlooked as it was.

Happy Anniversary, AMW! I still wish there was some way the first episode could be made available to us AMW fans. I would LOVE to see it!

Of course, everybody on this forum loves AMW and everything about the show. And as fans of the show, all we wanted was the best for the program and for it to do whatever it took to catch these fugitives.
With that said, AMW clearly had several missed opportunities over the years in regards to some of the stories it aired. What are some opportunities the show could (and should) have taken advantage of, yet never did for some reason?
Robert Fisher's Enhanced Photos - This is something we've all talked to death about on this forum, but it's something that frustrates me so much. Why did AMW never air the enhanced photos of Robert Fisher that showed him with a beard and without hair? I'm not saying it would have led to his capture, but it just felt like the show was going out of its way to not air them. Even more bizarre? I distinctly remember those photos appearing the SAME NIGHT as AMW's 2003 FBI Ten Most Wanted edition.
Jose Perez's Sons - In 2006, AMW first profiled the case of Jose Perez, a man wanted out of Florida for raping his own daughter. When he went on the run, he took his two sons with him. His daughter said he brainwashed her brothers into thinking that she had led her father on and was responsible for the abuse. Why did AMW never air the photos - or even say the names - of her brothers? I get that they weren't wanted for any crime, but that hasn't stopped AMW in the past from airing photos of people who may be traveling with someone else (Pat Beeson, Jessie Beeson's wife, was broadcast, as well as Bruce Sawhill's wife. Neither one of them are facing criminal charges). Especially since one of the clues was that the brothers were probably entering surfing competitions. I feel like someone in the surfing community could have recognized one of them and led to Perez's capture.
Michael Alfonso's Capture Report - AMW seemed to be confused as to whether Michael Alfonso was a direct capture or not, but regardless, I'm wondering why they never aired his capture report. Alfonso famously said that people profiled on AMW that got caught were stupid. That's pretty much begging for a capture report! Heck, John Walsh even said on several episodes that when Alfonso was caught, the show would air his capture. They've mentioned indirect FBI Top Ten captures before (Richard Goldberg's capture was profiled) so why not Alfonso?
Stephanie Senac's Death - Not much of a "missed opportunity," but more like "why didn't they mention it?" As we all know, Stephanie Senac, one of the victims of the Las Cruces Bowling Alley Massacre, died from her injuries back in 1999. AMW aired the bowling alley case twice following her death (once in 2004 and once in 2010) and yet neither time did John Walsh mention that she had since died. Was there a reason for that? There's no way the show couldn't have known that, especially during the 2010 update on the case, since they completely redid the profile for that one (it even featured the first interview with Melissa, the 12-year-old who was shot in the head during the robbery).
Can anyone think of any other missed opportunities from AMW?

Based on my observations, I'd say Rakesk White is in custody and is scheduled to stand trial later this month. It appears he was just captured in November, so he hasn't been in custody for very long.
Also, if you're curious, an arraignment is where they plead guilty or not guilty. Here in Iowa they almost never happen; they usually just file a written plea.

A cursory search doesn't reveal anything immediate (I'll do an in-depth one once I'm off work) but I did discover that his mother died last July. I don't want to post the link here, but if you Google "Rakesk White" and "michigan" it's the first result that comes up.
