I know some have expressed certain opinions of Tissie over the years, but I really enjoyed watching her tear into Yaser during the victim impact statement after the verdict. She did not mince words and repeatedly called him “devil”, as she did when asked to identify him at the end of her testimony last Thursday (she pointed at him and said, “that devil there”). It seems she was truly victimized by him and released a lot of what had built up within her over the years. Yaser seemed to say something in response at one point, but I couldn’t understand it.
I also think if the investigators had enough evidence to charge her with anything, it would have already happened. I don’t really enough to pass judgment and don’t think that’s my business anyway.

I watched Yaser’s testimony and was not highly impressed with his explanation of the events of January 1, 2008, but it will be up to the jury to decide. Both sides have rested their cases and the closing arguments are scheduled for 9 Central time (10 Eastern, 8 Mountain, and 7 Pacific) this morning. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a verdict in the hours thereafter, but we shall see.
As we have said many times, I think the 911 call is what will seal the deal here, but only time will tell.

Yeah, I’m not really sure what Yaser is playing at here, but of course he has the right to say he’s innocent. However, the 911 tape seals the deal for me and I doubt it will take that long for a guilty verdict to be returned it this does proceed to trial.

Glad I hear Leticia Smith has finally been reeled in. Hopefully the other “Mr. Smith” fugitive who is accused of killing “Mr. Smith”, Margaret Smith, will also soon be apprehended.

I'll go with Robert Lee King as a hunch - I just feel his time has come. Unfortunately, I don't think Larry Chism will ever be captured, at least not (located) alive. I think many of the others are tough as well and may be overseas (for example, Panaligan and Burroughs are connected to the Philippines but could be in other southeast Asian countries as well, or really anywhere in the world) but also agree with the previous posters that Eubanks and Bonness are more likely than the others to be captured.

I just have a hunch the first one to be captured in 2021 will be Bhadreshkumar Patel. I think there will be an additional 2 captures/locations as well overall for a total of 3 in 2021 after 2 apiece in 2019 and 2020. I think Jason Brown could be captured in 2021 as well, although as always the FBI knows more than we do who knows whether the supposed sightings last year were legitimate.
What's everyone's read on how easy or difficult you think it will be for Rafael Caro-Quintero (AKA RCQ) to be apprehended? If I remember correctly, he was added in 2018, so he has already lasted over two years. I would say he would probably be ranked #1 at the moment if there were a ranking of overall alleged "badness" to the list (as was stated about Osama (or Usama) bin Laden when he was on the list, and then James "Whitey" Bulger in the roughly two months between their locations), but of course all of the others' alleged crimes are very serious as well.

Same here - I didn’t think the government of Egypt would particularly be happy about an FBI “most wanted” fugitive residing there, although he is a citizen there as well and it can be difficult to convince countries to extradite their own citizens to face prosecution in other countries, as we suspect may be happening with Alexis Flores and Esnel Jean.
I think it’s possible he continued to travel to Egypt occasionally to visit his sister even while he was a fugitive under a fake passport/identity. So I think it’s possible or even likely the man in the photo was him, unless there is another member of their family who looks like that.

I think you meant Bedford, TX and that Islam Said refused to cooperate when the FBI came to the apartment in 2017 according to the article.

According to what I have been able to find online, the property at which Yaser was captured was sold in February 2015, about two months after he was added to the FBI most wanted list.

Does anyone think Vernon Ray Henry or Esnel Jean may be appropriate “replacement candidates” for the Yaser Said “position”? They also allegedly killed members of their own families including their own children, and although they have been “on the lam” since the 1990s perhaps a position on “The List” could help flush them out of hiding.

I was very pleasantly surprised when I checked the non-TV capture area of this site this morning and first saw the poll for a new forum “Public Enemy #1”, and I first thought, “Now, why is Scumhunter giving up on Yaser Said”, but then it sunk in and I checked the TV capture area and lo and behold the “seven-exclamation point” capture had finally occurred...
When I saw the announcement, I was hoping it would say that he was caught in Egypt to send a message that “most wanted” fugitives/those charged with murder are vulnerable anywhere on the face of the Earth, but regardless I am very glad to see Yaser is finally in jail and is not living “rich and happy” (I believe that is the general meaning of his first and last name in Arabic) somewhere.
I wonder if Yaser had indeed stayed in Egypt for a while since 2008 and ultimately decided to return to Texas (traveling under a fake ID)? It seems odd that he would decide to do that, but perhaps he no longer felt safe in Egypt. That photo posted to PI Bill Warner’s site apparently taken in Egypt (perhaps near his birthplace on the Sinai Peninsula) looked a lot like him. However, I had seen an article in which it was mentioned that the local police department(s) believed he was in “North Texas” as of last year.

As for Said, I’m not very surprised that he was hiding near the crime scene. Donald Eugene Webb managed to hide in a secret chamber in a family member’s house for over 15 years and unfortunately was not captured and evidently died there.
However, Brown is one of those fugitives who I think could be about anywhere in the world, from still somewhere in Arizona to Kazakhstan or Madagascar, or Ohio for that matter.
