Darryl "Mutt" Smith wins the semifinals 1 to 3, and Carl Anthony Terry wins 0 to 4.
Now... the Final! This is the match-up that'll determine the best capture of the 2nd century of captures besides Vergilio Pablo Paz-Romero!
Darryl "Mutt" Smith, #157, Jne 23, 1991 Before he became a familiar face on AMW, he'd been convicted of 2nd degree murder. In October 1990, he struck again, shooting a rap singer to death in front of a crowd in Sarasota, Florida. AMW busted him in nearby Miami, and he's now serving a life sentence.
vs
Carl Anthony Terry, #161, Jly 27, 1991 He committed his first murder in the 1960s and was condemned to death. When the state of Missouri outlawed the death penalty, he was commuted to life in prison, but he escaped the correctional facility in 1990. He killed his second victim after the escape, then attacked several witnesses to his older crimes, killing 2 more and wounding 1. He was busted in California.
My vote will go to Carl Anthony Terry for his cheating the system and going on a murderous rampage, killing more people than most captures in AMW's roster!

I personally don't get why John Walsh mentioning these guys in a book would DISQUALIFY them for the contest. If anything it should make them even better candidates but that's just me. So I respectfully disagree.

Windler's request to replace fugitives discussed in John Walsh: No Mercy with Russell Edward "Rusty" Garrett is denied! Request for adding Kenneth Allen McDuff is denied on the grounds that he already won the 1200 Milestone Best Capture Contest. This is the contest for best capture of the 3rd century besides McDuff.
I guess it's time to get started then.
Kenneth Norman Lovci, #245, Mrc 20, 1993 A former reserve cop. He molested a 10 year old boy in Rollingwood, Texas. An AMW tipster in Salt Lake City, Utah, recognized him as the new replacement for a murdered restaurant cook whose killer was profiled on the same broadcast, and thus AMW busted him. The previous cook's killer was shortly nabbed as an empty capture.
vs
Terry Wayne Hart, #220, Spt 4, 1992 In September 1991, he sought revenge after his long-time girlfriend broke up with her. He raped her 15 year old daughter in an Oklahoma City apartment, then stoically returned the girl to his ex, badly beaten, intent on giving an alibi. Within the next year, he'd fled to Tennessee. When he saw himself on America's Most Wanted, he wrote a suicide note to AMW, and his body was found as he'd described.
and
Norman "King Curly" Ackison, #201, Apl 15, 1992 In Ohio, he repeatedly raped his 5 year old daughter and at least 20 of her playmates, nearly all under age 8. He surrendered in Columbus, Ohio after seeing himself on AMW. He was released within 2 decades, but he got arrested for kidnapping a woman in April 2011.
vs
Ralph Solomon, #248, Apl 30, 1993 In Louisville, Kentucky, he raped and sodomized his own daughter from 1978 to 1985, starting when she was 4 years old. He fled his preliminary hearing in June 1987. He was busted in Giles County, Tennesse.
First, my vote goes to Kenneth Norman Lovci, even though Terry Wayne Hart's crimes were more brutal. On the broadcast that led to his capture, a restaurant cook's killer was profiled, and Lovci happened to replace that cook.
Second, even though King Curly abused more children, he got a slap to the wrist considering how heinous his crimes were, and went on to commit another offence. I imagine Ralph Solomon got the book thrown at him, as he wasn't known to have been released from prison or have re-offended, so I vote for Solomon.

Voting for Lovci in the first matchup. For the second, I will actually vote for Ackinson since he was arrested for another serious offence after his release, which proves how dangerous he is.

In regards to Ralph Solomon, there is a Kentucky sex offender listed under that name and there's no one listed in the Kentucky Department Of Corrections under that name, so I'm pretty certain that he was released at some point.

In that case, I change my vote to Ackison. If both were released anyway, might as well go with the one continuing to cause trouble and as sick as it is to molest your own daughter, Ackison had even more victims. So Lovci and Ackison now.

Wade Russell Meisberger, #219, Ags 23, 1992 In July 1991, he fatally beat his best friend in Indiana during a botched robbery. The true motive was that the victim was skimming a Columbian drug racket that Meisberger was secretly involved in. He was busted in Charlotte, North Carolina and got 48 years in prison.
vs
Jeanne Hayes Siffin Rode and Donald Anthony Durant, #293/#294, Dcb 17/Dcb 16, 1993 In 1972, Durant shot a Cleveland, Ohio businessman to death in a failed robbery. He was implicated in 1983. For the following decade, he committed several burglaries and thefts in Nevada. Siffin-Rode failed to appear in court for carrying a concealed weapon, and helped Durant escape more than 10 police agencies. They were busted about 24 hours apart in Tucson, Arizona.
and
Jeffrey Linn Boston, #216, Jly 27, 1992 His father died in early April 1977, and the will said that the mother would inherit the money unless she died within 90 days later. Their son, Jeffrey Linn Boston, saw a cold-hearted opportunity to claim the money for himself when the last of the 90 days coincided with the Fourth of July. It was then that he gathered 3 accomplices to shoot her to death with the pistol blasts "camouflaging" with the firework booms. Police quickly rounded up the accomplices, but Boston got away. That was until 15 years later, when he was busted in Florida.
vs
Patrick G "Rico" Bannon, #217, Ags 26, 1992 sentenced to 30 years to life in prison for the execution-style murder of an off-duty housing police officer and the fatal shooting of another man after brawling with the two victims inside a bar in Bayside, Queens.
My votes go to Donald Anthony Durant and Jeffrey Linn Boston for their cold case murders, and Durant evading more than 10 police agencies.
