AMW/The Hunt is not for critics. It's a show for people like us that like watching bad guys get caught!

Another interview with Walsh about how he had to give up control to do the show. (My guess is he was originally going to do the show with his own production company). Me and Pakman have always made the same complaint though- as much as we love John Walsh- he sometimes misquotes AMW's statistics and us AMW nerds often know more than him on the stats (such as claiming AMW caught more guys than ever in its last year on Fox when it fact it was one of their worst years for captures and 2008 set the record). AMW has now apparently caught 1231 fugitives as opposed to 1204. www.lcsun-news.com/las_cruces-entertainment/ci_26130825/walsh-gives-up-control-get-back-tv

I actually read the review this morning but was at work all day. I really wanted to get home and share my thoughts so I'm glad you posted it too!

www.tvguide.com/tvshows/the-hunt-with-john-walsh/tv-listings/675325TV Guide now has episode bios for The Hunt and the Jul 20th episode will be about Kevin Stoester. We do know that the follow episode on Jul 27 will be about Bradford Bishop. After that because there's only eight episodes and around 13 cases in total that will be featured this season, I therefore think the remaining five episodes will have two cases each.

I'm curious to see if they will do capture updates if the Hunt is lucky enough to get renewed for a second season and show capture grabshots like on AMW. What's funny is fugitives don't even know about the new show yet. It would be funny if for The Hunt's first capture (which hopefully is Shane Miller!), they ask the fugitive, "Did you know you were on The Hunt?" "The Hunt? I thought I was on AMW." "No, it got cancelled. The Hunt is Walsh's new show. "Good job, Mr. Walsh!"

AMW has now apparently caught 1231 fugitives as opposed to 1204. Now I'm really curious as to who the remaining 27 direct captures are... Also, something really intrigues me about the article; John claims in the last few years of AMW they tried to cram as many fugitives into the show as possible and that's what led to it's downfall. Odd, because most of the fans here would seem to think otherwise. True, Lifetime had many shows with multiple fugitives, but you also had shows that profiled only three or four cases as well.

We know the Greg Martin killers, and Kurt Levias killer would have been direct captures had AMW still had a website that kept track. But that still leaves about 23-24 LOL.

Not only is my father going to watch the premiere of The Hunt, but my mother will join us as well. My dad has also seen the profiled case listings on the website and feels that Charles Modzir is going to be extremely easy to take down as soon as he gets aired.

Based on common sense, Mozdir seems to me to be the easiest one to catch as well. But I'm hoping we can get Shane Miller first!

One hour remains! I'll be back online after the show to give my thoughts on it.

Hopefully Pakman provides an episode recap as well! Even with one case a recap can be done (just by mentioning what occurred in each segment).
