Looking forward to it! I don't think you'll be disappointed with tonight's show! This was an hour done right! Each episode gets better and better.

Great episode! What a horrible crime that has been committed. I think it's great that they are using all the sources they can to find the fugitive, but the odds don't seem to look good in my opinion. This man has been on the run for almost 40 years, he could be dead by now. Besides that, he most likely looks completely different and all we have to see is the sketch, and it could be false to his actual appearance. Although the chances are slim, he is on the fbi top ten list which is very high profile. This will be a key factor in this case and could actually help catch this man. Anyways we are dealing with John walsh and the media so.. The odds could be in our favor afterall even though we may not suspect it. What do you guys think? Did you guys enjoy the episode tonight? I did.

AMW captured a fugitive in a similar case- John List- no one knew what he looked like- all they had was an age-enhanced bust like tonight. He also killed his family and was wanted by the FBI for nearly a decade. I agree it won't be easy but AMW taught us to never give up hope. There have been cases with nothing to go on AMW has miraculously solved. We just need to hope Bishop is one of those.
P.S. I should wait for pakman to do a full recap but I can't help it- did anyone else notice this is the second week in a row where one of the clues for the fugitive was that he likes dogs? For some reason I found that odd lol.

You're completely right, the key is to never give up hope and I won't, and the list case I am very familiar with
because it occured in my home state of New Jersey.

One more note before I leave it to pakman's update or if anyone else wants to update- I only saw Dave Burgert on next week's preview. I'm assuming Christopher Ponce will be next week since William Angel's father said it would be. Curious if I missed it or if the promo was only Burgert.

I'm only halfway done, but this is an amazing episode! If anybody deserved the whole hour to himself, Brad Bishop is it. So far, "The Hunt" has shown even more home movie clips than AMW aired and showed actual photos of the victims, which I don't believe AMW ever did. "The Hunt" also showed crime scene photos, which were really disturbing. Investigators weren't kidding when they said blood was everywhere. I think the most disturbing part was when they showed blurred-out photos of four of the victims, which is how they were identified as the Bishop family (the investigator said they didn't show the fifth victim because they were beaten beyond recognition; I'm guessing it was his youngest son Geoffrey, because one investigator said he had been beaten particularly violently).
Also, I'm so happy to see that Roy Harrell (Bishop's former state department colleague who spotted him in Italy) is still alive and that he was interviewed for the show! AMW interviewed him for their story, and they reenacted the incident Roy described where Bishop said he was more deserving of the promotion than his colleague.

It would have been hard to fit both of them in the promo since they're wanted for two completely different types of crimes.

Thanks. Saw it before you posted it but didn't get a chance to update it. Just wanted to make sure Ponce is next week so we can begin The Hunt for him.

Curious to see if The Hunt will update his capture/death on the show soon either this season or next (and I really want a capture counter now! LOL ) Walsh said one of the number #1 complaints about AMW was they didn't spend enough time on the captures and fugitives. While it would mean one less profile, I'm curious to see if they do an expanded capture report in season 2 for Mozdir and other fugitives or update somehow in season 1.

P.S. Just wanted to also reflect the tip that caught Mozdir was off last night's 8 PM rerun which is why I was so vocal about making sure CNN playing the repeats. I KNEW the capture probability for Stoeser and/or Mozdir would be pretty good as long as they repeated their airing. I hope we see more repeats on the future and if possible perhaps they can even air repeats on sister network HLN (their entire weekend lineup is 1999 repeats of Forensics Files anyway, so it can't hurt)

Just thought of something. Remember how AMW would update their capture counter at the beginning of each show? I wonder if The Hunt can add that into the opening credits/graphics! Admittedly "1 Capture" while still amazing doesn't look overwhelming at the moment but I'm sure there's plenty more to come! I'm loving this show more and more each week and my only complaint now is that the first season is only eight episodes!

Somewhat off-topic but I'm wondering why Variety seems to have a stick up their butt. First they give a negative review to the pilot which we posted earlier (which admittedly was the weakest episode so far but it did get better towards the end in my opinion), and now they're complaining about CNN's coverage of The Hunt's first capture, seeming to indicate it's overkill (no pun intended). I was a critic of CNN's over-coverage of Flight 370, because it rarely ever included any actual updates or breaking news. The Hunt like AMW is really a show that should be on every day. So call me a hypocrite, but I have no problem with a news network giving round the clock coverage alerting and reminding citizens about cases like Charles Mozdir and others out there and every day we learn new details. Also, when there's a shootout in broad daylight in the biggest metropolitan city in the United States of America and one of the top tourist destinations in the world in one of it's most unique neighborhoods, that wounds officers and kills a suspect, it might not have been as extensively covered on CNN if The Hunt was on a different channel, but I'm damn sure it would have still made headlines and gotten mentioned. The fact that if you look online EVERY media outlet has covered what happened proves that. Variety, stop being snobs about the new show and let us enjoy that John Walsh is holding these scumbags accountable again! variety.com/2014/tv/news/cnns-uses-new-john-walsh-series-to-create-headlines-in-regular-coverage-1201271259/

I believe Salon also had issues with how CNN was promoting The Hunt during Mozdir's death report. Since it was a direct result of a tip to The Hunt that led to Mozdir being located, CNN has the right to promote the show.

Apparently they both don't like bad guys getting caught. And agreed, it makes total sense the network would promote it.

www.salon.com/2014/07/28/cnn_uses_news_coverage_of_fugitives_death_to_promotes_its_show_the_hunt/This is the actual article link. The author also had an issue with CNN promotiong a manhunt that "has left three people in the hospital". Okay, this author must not realize that law enforcement arrests tons of fugitives every day. When you get this job, you have to accept that the people you're trying to arrest may in fact shoot it out with law enforcement. Besides, did the author not want authorities to arrest Mozdir?
